ところで、通常の居室で使用する場合と異なり、自動車においてはバス等を除いては夜間は車内が暗くなるのでそのままでは灰皿は使用しづらい。一方、従来の備え付けの灰皿には自動車のライトと連動して点灯する照明が付されているので、前記の携帯用灰皿に照明を導入することは当業者の容易に着想するところであり、事実、照明を備えた携帯用灰皿が存在する。

この場合、備え付けの灰皿においては灰皿の本体容器内に光源からの光を照射する照明方法が一般的であり(公知例としては、実開平6−68971、特開2003−159974等)、携帯用灰皿もこれを踏襲していた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、容量が大きいことを特徴とする携帯用灰皿においては、スポット的な光源では容器内を十分照射できず、汚れを目立たなくするために内部を黒色としているので反射効果が期待できないことも相まって十分な照明効果を得られなかった。この場合、自動車の電源を使用する備えつけの灰皿と異なり、携帯用の灰皿は電源が限られているので照度を高くすることもできず、又、照度を高くすると運転に際し眩しさを与えて目障りになるという問題も生じた。

この発明は以上の従来技術の問題点に鑑みて創作されたものであり、灰皿本体に対し揺動して開閉する蓋体を設けた灰皿において、中空に構成した蓋体の本体側の底板を半透明の素材により構成すると共に上記底板の内側をテーパ状のローレット加工面とし、上記ローレット加工面を照射するように蓋体内に光源を配したことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、この発明の具体的実施例を添付図面に基づいて説明する。図1はこの発明の灰皿の全体を示す図である。この灰皿は容器状の灰皿本体1と、これを被蓋する蓋体10からなり、光源は蓋体内に配される。蓋体10はヒンジ8により灰皿本体1に対して揺動自在に設けられるものであり、図示しないバネにより開放方向に附勢される。図中符号6はこの場合に蓋体10を閉止状態で係止するための操作部材であり、ヒンジ5により灰皿本体1に対して下降方向に揺動自在に設けられる。上記操作部材6は図示しないバネにより上昇方向に附勢され、上昇位置において端部に凹設した係止溝7内に蓋体10の端部に突設した係止突起9が係止され、下降することにより係止が解除される(図2及び図3参照)。尚、図中符号3は、灰皿本体1の天井板2から垂設されるタバコを挿入可能な消火筒であり、この消火筒の内壁の中途の対向位置には長手方向を筒の全長方向に一致させた一対の突条4、4が突設される。

蓋体10は内部が中空に構成され、電気部品が実装される基板12が内蔵されると共に光源14が内蔵される。一方、蓋体10の本体側の底板11は半透明の素材(ここではプラスチックを採用)により構成されると共に内側が断面がテーパ状(ここでは三角形状)のローレット加工面11Aとされる(図4参照)。尚、この実施例においては、ローレットは多数の円弧を連続させた形状に施している。光源14は上記のローレット加工面11Aを照射するように底板11端に配され、その上部には反射効果を得るためにアルミ箔等を積層した反射板13が全面に配される。

前記の光源14としてはLEDを想定しており、この実施例においては電源として太陽電池15により補完される二次電池17を採用している。図5はその場合の電気回路を示すブロック図である。図中符号16は制御回路であり、太陽電池15から二次電池17への充電を制御する他、太陽電池の発電状態を検出して昼夜を判断し、昼間には点灯しないように光源14への通電を制御している。図中符号18は蓋体10の一定限度以上の開放を検出して、回路を閉成して光源14に通電するための蓋開閉検出スイッチであり、ここでは蓋体の開放角度をクリック作用を伴った二段階に設定し、最も開放した際に上記スイッチがオンになるようにしている。尚、太陽電池15は透明に構成された蓋体10の天板の内側に配される(図2及び3参照)。

以上の構成よりなるこの発明の灰皿によれば、光源から照射された光はローレット加工面により拡散し、その光は蓋体の半透明の底板の表面に透過するので、蓋体の底部が全面にわたって淡く発光するような効果を得られ、灰皿容器内の効果的な照明が実現される。

その結果、低照度のLEDであっても十分な照明効果を得ることができ、実施例のような太陽電池との組み合わせでも実用に耐える照明効果が得られ、電池交換が不要なメンテナンスフリーの照明付き灰皿となる。
