Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mobile terminal having a case lid of the battery pack storage part that forms a part of the battery pack storage part and an external housing.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a mobile terminal represented by a mobile phone, a lithium ion battery having a high energy density is often used. However, in a lithium ion battery, gas is generated by charging, gas generation inside the battery becomes excessive due to overcharging or high temperature, and the plastic outer case of the battery pack may be deformed. In order to solve the above problem, there is a technique for preventing an increase in internal pressure by providing an opening in a part of the exterior of the battery pack and projecting the expansion of the battery cell into the opening (for example, Patent Document 1).
[0003]
Further, as a technique for housing a battery pack in a mobile terminal, a technique is disclosed in which the battery pack is engaged with and fixed to the mobile terminal main body at at least two locations (for example, see Patent Document 2).

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The technique described in Patent Document 1 needs to be provided with an opening, which causes a problem when applied to a mobile terminal such as a mobile phone that places importance on design. Moreover, in the technique described in Patent Document 2, a slight space is provided between the case lid that covers the battery pack housing portion and the battery pack, and the case lid is deformed in an expansion deformation in a normal use state. There is no problem, but when the case lid covering the battery pack is pushed from the outside, the case lid may move or deform and the user may feel uncomfortable.
[0006]
Therefore, the present invention provides a mobile terminal capable of preventing deformation of a lid case or the like due to expansion of a battery pack, and suppressing deformation and movement of the battery pack when it is rattled or pushed from the outside. The purpose is to provide.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, in a mobile terminal having a battery housing portion for housing a battery pack and a case lid that covers the battery pack and forms a part of an external housing, the case lid is attached to the battery pack. Means for contacting or energizing is provided, and a space corresponding to deformation of the battery pack due to expansion inside the battery pack is provided in at least one of the case lid and the battery housing portion.
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
[0009]
FIG. 1 shows the configuration of a mobile terminal with a battery pack 5 and a battery storage unit as the center. The mobile terminal stores an antenna 3, a substrate 4, a battery pack 5, input keys (not shown), a receiver, a transmitter, a screen display and the like inside a rear case 1 and a front case 2. The substrate 4 is provided with a wireless circuit, a transmission / reception control circuit, a sound and image processing circuit, and the like. The rear case 1 is provided with a battery pack storage portion surrounded by a right battery pack wall 13a, a left battery pack wall 13b, a front battery pack wall 15 and a rear case end 14 around the bottom of the battery storage portion bottom 12. The battery pack wall 13a, the left battery pack wall 13b, and the inner surface of the outer casing surface 11 of the rear case 1 are separated by about 1 mm. The right battery pack wall 13a and the left battery pack wall 13b are provided with a right engagement hole 131a and a left engagement hole 131b, respectively.
[0010]
Further, a right front insertion hole 15 a and a left front insertion hole 15 b are provided between the front battery pack wall 15 side and the housing surface 11 of the rear case 1. A detachable battery pack 5 is attached to the battery pack storage portion. A case lid 6 covers the battery pack 5 and is fitted to the rear case 1. The rear case 1 and the front case 2 maintain necessary strength and rigidity in order to protect the internal electronic circuit from external force. Therefore, the battery housing bottom 12 is a flat surface having a necessary thickness.
[0011]
FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the configuration of the battery pack 5. The battery pack 5 is a resin upper case 51 in which a lithium ion battery cell is laminated in a plastic film bag, and the cell pack 53 is hermetically sealed. The resin upper case 51 has a rectangular parallelepiped shape (an approximate rectangular parallelepiped dimension is 55 mm long, 35 mm wide, 3 mm deep). It is housed in the lower case. When the battery cell is charged, gas is generated in the battery cell portion, so that the pressure inside the cell pack 53 rises and the flat plate center portion expands outward. The peripheral portion of the resin case has a relatively high rigidity, and the thickness deformation amount can be ignored. On the other hand, since the resin case 51 or the center of the flat plate portion of the case 52 has low rigidity, it expands and deforms as shown in FIG. Generation of gas is suppressed within a predetermined range by the action of the overcharge protection circuit, and at the assumed temperature (60 ° C.), the amount of increase in the thickness of the central portion of the battery pack 5 due to expansion is about 0.2 mm. When the temperature exceeds the assumed temperature, the amount of gas generated increases, so that the increase in the thickness of the central portion of the battery pack 5 is further increased.
[0012]
The upper flat portion of the upper case 51 of the battery pack 5 has a portion 51a where the battery label is pasted, which is recessed by about 0.2 mm, and is thinner than the lower flat portion of the lower case 52 by the amount of the depression. Therefore, the deformation at the time of the pressure rise in the cell pack 53 is larger on the upper plane side than on the lower plane side. When the battery pack is stored in the mobile terminal, the battery label is installed so that the battery label faces outward, so the upper plane side is the side facing the lid case 6.
[0013]
The case lid 6 will be described with reference to FIG. Both ends of the flat portion 61 of the case lid 6 are bent to form a right side surface 62a and a left side surface 62b. Guide plates 64a and 64b and a right engaging claw 65a are formed on the inner surface on the front end side of the right side surface 62a. Similarly, guide plates 64c and 64d and a left engagement claw 65b are formed on the inner surface on the front end side of the left side surface 62b. A right front claw 63a and a left front claw 63b are provided on the inner surface on the front side of the flat portion 61, and a rear engagement claw 66 is provided on the inner surface side in the central portion on the rear side. Each engaging claw 65a, 65b, 66 is provided with a thin portion at the side portion 62a, 62b or a portion rising from the flat portion 61 in order to maintain appropriate elasticity.
[0014]
Further, the flat portions 61 around the right front claw 63a, the left front claw 63b, and the rear engagement claw 66 are partially thinned so that the elasticity of each claw is appropriate. Then, a lid recess 61a is provided in which the depth gradually decreases toward the periphery with the center of the flat portion 61 as the center. The depth of the lid recess 61a is about 0.15 mm, and the shape of the recess is determined in accordance with the deformed shape on the upper surface side of the battery pack 5 when gas is generated.
[0015]
Next, an operation of storing the battery pack 5 in the mobile terminal will be described with reference to FIGS. In addition, description is added as needed also about the part of the rear case 1 which was not touched before. FIG. 5 is a cross-section of the plane including AA of FIG. 4 of the portable mobile terminal, and the scale in the thickness direction is displayed larger than the scale in the length (front-rear) direction. 6A is a cross section of the position of the portable mobile terminal including BB in FIG. 4, and FIG. 6B is a cross section of the position of the portable mobile terminal including CC in FIG.
[0016]
First, the battery pack 15 is accommodated between the cushion material 17 rich in elasticity and the front battery pack wall 15. When the battery pack 15 is not inserted, the distance between the cushion material 17 and the front battery pack wall 15 is smaller than the length of the battery pack 15 by a predetermined dimension. It is lightly pressed by the cushion material 17. After the battery pack 15 is stored in the battery storage unit, the case lid 6 is inserted into the right front claw 63a and the left front claw 63b in the right front insertion hole 15a and the left front insertion hole 15b, and the right guide plates 64a and 64c are connected to the right side. When the joint claw 65a is pushed in with the right battery pack wall 13a and the left guide plates 64b and 64d and the left engagement claw 65b in contact with the right battery pack wall 13b, as shown in FIG. The left and right engagement claws 65a and 65b engage with the left and right engagement holes 131a and 131b, respectively, and urge the battery pack 15 toward the battery storage unit bottom 12 with a first pressing force. At this time, as shown in FIG. 6B, the guide plates 64a and 64c enter between the battery pack walls 13a and 13b and the inner side surface of the rear case, and the rear case 1 and the case lid 6 are deformed in the width direction (left-right direction). It works to suppress.
[0017]
Thereafter, when the lock key 15 is moved forward (in the direction of arrow D in FIG. 5), the front end inclined surface of the lock key 15 contacts the engagement portion 66a at the front end of the rear engagement claw 66, and then advances by a predetermined amount. The urging force of the case lid 6 in the direction of the battery housing bottom 12 acts on the engaging claw 66. As a result, the battery pack 5 is pressurized toward the battery housing bottom 12 with a second pressing force that is greater than the first predetermined force. If the battery pack 5 is not inflated, the flat portion 61 of the case lid 6 or the contact portion between the battery housing portion 12 and the battery pack 5 is a portion excluding the cover recess portion 61a or the bottom recess portion 12a on the opposite surface, respectively. The first urging force or the second urging force is applied as the applied pressure.
[0018]
In the state in which the above operation is performed, the battery pack 15 is pressed by the pressing force by the cushion material 17 and the urging force by the case lid 6, and is further restrained from moving by a small gap by the battery pack walls 13a and 13b. Even if the battery pack 15 is pushed, the battery pack 15 does not rattle in the battery housing.
[0019]
Furthermore, when the thickness of the center of the flat surface portion of the battery pack 15 increases due to charging or the like, the flat recess portion 61a is formed on the flat surface portion 61 of the case lid 6 and the bottom recess portion 12a is formed on the battery storage portion bottom 12 as shown in FIG. If it is within the assumed range because it is provided, no force acts on the central part of the case lid 6 and the battery housing bottom 12, and as a result, they will not be permanently deformed. . Since the shape of the lid recess 61a and the bottom recess 12a is set in accordance with the deformation state of the battery pack 5 during gas expansion, the thickness of the case lid 6 and the battery pack is not reduced more than necessary. Twelve stiffness and strength reductions can be minimized.
[0020]
If there is no strong demand for thinning the mobile terminal, the shape of the recess is not continuously changed as described above, but from the periphery to the center as in the lid recess 61b shown in FIG. There is a possibility that a shape in which the depth increases stepwise, or a shape in which protrusions 61c to 61f are provided on the periphery of the plane as shown in FIG. If the shape is simple as shown in FIGS. 7A and 7B, the mold design can be simplified and the cost can be reduced. Of course, the shape shown in FIGS. 7A and 7B can also be used for the battery housing bottom 12.
[0021]
As described above, the embodiment can be changed according to the conditions required for the target product, such as the shape of the battery pack and the dimensions of the mobile terminal, as well as the embodiment described above.
[0022]
