Abstract
Description
【0001】
なお、国際的には、アメリカ及びカナダではUPC(Universal Product Code)、ヨーロッパではEAN(European Article Number)を用いているが、JAN標準タイプはUPC、EANとの互換性があり、全世界で利用できる共通コードである。

バーコードシンボルは120に示したように細い線:NB(ナローバー)と太い線:WB(ワイドバー)および細いスペース:NS(ナロースペース)と太いスペース:WS(ワイドスペース)の組み合わせで構成される。

[0002]
[Prior art]
Currently, systems that sell various services and products using the Internet are in widespread use. On the other hand, in the field of merchandise management and sales processing in merchandise distribution, bar codes are widely used, and bar code information written on merchandise tags and stickers is read to facilitate input to an information processing apparatus or the like.
At present, most barcodes used in Japan are based on the JAN (Japan Article Number) standard, and a 13-digit standard type and an 8-digit shortened type are used. Normally, the standard type consisting of 13 digits (country code [2 digits], manufacturer code [5 digits], item code [5 digits], check digit [1 digit]) is marked, but the printing area is insufficient Uses an abbreviated type consisting of 8 digits (country code [2 digits], manufacturer code [4 digits], product item code [1 digit], check digit [1 digit]). Internationally, UPC (Universal Product Code) is used in the United States and Canada, and EAN (European Article Number) is used in Europe, but the JAN standard type is compatible with UPC and EAN and is used worldwide. [Problems to be solved by the invention]
While the provision of a system for providing various services using the Internet is progressing, it is assumed that the user uses an information processing device or the like in this system, and the use of an information processing device or the like represented by a personal computer is used. However, it is almost impossible for users such as elderly people and disabled people who are not good at it.
On the other hand, barcodes are used worldwide, and the barcode reader can be used as an input method for information processing devices only by holding it over the barcode symbol, making it extremely easy to enter data. However, most barcodes used in the past are used as code information for identifying products. Barcode groups of a specific system are defined and managed in advance, and this barcode is stored in the barcode. An apparatus that instructs the operation of the information processing apparatus by reading with a code reader is not known, and such an information processing apparatus is not used to control the entire system.
Therefore, the present invention is difficult for an elderly person who has never used an information processing device using a computer such as a personal computer to learn how to operate a difficult object called a mouse or to read a manual of an esoteric information processing device. In addition, it is displayed next to easy-to-understand operation command names and service item names, or bar code information that is printed can be read with a one-touch operation using a bar code reader. Or, read the barcode value of the printed matter, read the corresponding barcode value by voice and input it using a voice recognition device, and also handwrite the barcode value and input it using the handwritten character recognition device By controlling the target system by sequentially instructing the operation of the information processing device, etc. with simple operations, various services and businesses And an information processing apparatus capable of purchasing the like, it is an object to provide a service providing system to the user using such information processing apparatus.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, in the present invention, the barcode is constituted by a barcode having a barcode of a specific system.
The “bar code of a specific system” targeted in the present invention is a specific number of digits using numerical values or alphanumeric symbols to control a computer or the like by a bar code or to organize and manage information This code information is used as code information having a predetermined meaning. For example, specification of control instructions for information processing devices, specification of service providers handling various services provided to service users, specification of items or contents of various services and products provided, ordering of services, acceptance of orders Identification by the number of digits of each code value that uses various data that needs to be exchanged between the service provider and the service user, identification of the range to which the code value of the same number of digits belongs, and identification of the code value In this code, a hierarchical relationship is defined so that individual specified events can be identified by following links such as a so-called parent-child relationship or parent-child-grandchild relationship. Each code information is a code system that expresses the code itself in a bar code notation format.
Hereinafter, a code composed of the codes of the specific system and expressed in the barcode notation format will be referred to as a “town code” in this specification, and a method using this town code will be referred to as a town code method. “Town Code” is currently pending for trademark registration by the present patent applicant. This is only for the convenience of explanation, and the code system used in the present invention is not limited to the town code system.
The information processing apparatus according to the present invention includes at least one of a keyboard for directly inputting code data, a numeric keypad, a mouse for inputting information on a selected coordinate, and a touch pad as input means for information and operation control commands. An information processing device that recognizes a symbol pattern of a barcode and outputs code data, and includes at least one code recognition means for recognizing a voice or a handwritten character and outputting code data. The application is determined by determining what the designated object is by inputting coordinate data designating a specific object using a means for designating coordinates such as the mouse and touchpad to the processing device. The program runs, the desired control is performed, and the code data format is If it is code data, the barcode identification is recognized by the code identification means, or the barcode code value is directly input to the information processing device using the keyboard or numeric keypad, and the entered code data and code data definition By referring to the information as needed, it is possible to determine what kind of object the input code data designates for information processing device control, etc., and to perform desired control through the operation of a specific application program Is what you do.
The service providing system of the present invention is a service providing system that provides a service and uses a service between a service center connected via a public network and a service user,
The service center expresses a town code consisting of a predetermined code system in bar code format, distributes the printed matter with this town code to the service users, and distributes the contents of the printed matter on the home page of the service center. It is possible to display the content on the display screen of the information processing apparatus. The town code system includes a code representing a control command of the information processing device and a code representing the content of the information, and the service user side includes an information processing device using a code control method for displaying information provided from the service center, and the information processing device. A town code displayed on the display screen of the information processing device as a content of the home page of the service center, or the town code displayed on the pre-distributed printed material, or a bar code reader for reading the town code Is input to the information processing apparatus by the code control method and the information processing apparatus is controlled, and information provided from the service center is used.
[0006]
In addition to providing specific services to service users, the service center performs functions such as codes that represent information processing device control commands used by service users and town codes that represent information contents. A function of creating various printed materials expressed in code format and attached with the town code and distributing them to the service users, and displaying the contents of the printed materials on the display screen of the information processing apparatus as contents on the home page of the service center Content creation function, and when a product is ordered by a service user, the product has a function of delivering the ordered product, collecting the price, and a maintenance service for the received product or product.

Since the barcode reader is an optical reader, it is not usually considered that the display device can read the barcode symbol displayed on the device that displays the screen by a raster scan method such as CRT. The display device used in the present invention is premised on the use of a display device using a liquid crystal device. In addition, liquid crystal devices themselves are manufactured in various panel sizes, and even if the products are sold as liquid crystal panels with the same inch panel size by manufacturers, the dimensions of the pixels differ slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer. Read by means such as setting an appropriate bar code symbol length that fits within the bar code symbol ratio determined by the standard, and recommending the use of a display device that uses the de facto standard LCD panel. It is desirable for the service center side to set usage standards for service users so that troubles such as impossibility do not occur.

Regarding the creation of publicity papers and leaflets with town codes using paper media that are not directly affected by the display screen size of the display device of information processing devices such as publicity papers and flyers, a certain fixed form is established, In particular, the arrangement of town codes for direct operation control on information processing devices and the location where the town code indicating who the service provider is located should be managed as a unified layout. It is also an extremely important matter from the viewpoint of convenience. On the other hand, too much restrictions may impair the design of more distinctive flyers, brochures, etc., so creating printed materials with town codes that are not subject to special dimensional restrictions such as display screen size. [0029]
FIG. 8 is an explanatory view showing a definition example of the town code system.
An example of defining a town code will be described taking as an example the case where only a numerical value is applied to the town code as shown in FIG. The read barcode is recognized as a numerical value, and the number of digits can also be recognized. In the present invention, attention is paid to this point, and the barcode data is used as a hierarchical system, or the control contents of the computer are expressed by the number of digits. The 4-digit town codes “0000” to “9999” define the so-called directory regarding the service provider, the title of the service provided by the service provider, and the items of the subdivided services, and the 4-digit town code. A so-called parent-child relationship which is a hierarchical relationship between town codes can be established.
[0030]
The
[0031]
As described above, the hierarchical relationship can be freely set for “1000” to “9999” which is a child code group of the 4-digit town code. In other words, the service provider freely uses the town codes from “1000” to “9999”, and classifies information such as service items, products, service contents, etc. provided by the supplier by genre, for example. It will be defined using layering means such as. As for the definition method related to this hierarchization, from the viewpoint of avoiding confusion of service users, allocation is performed in accordance with the town code definition rules provided from the
The effect of providing a hierarchical structure between the town codes in the present invention described above is that the town code between town codes is used even though only a small number of town code values are used due to the hierarchical relationship. By following the hierarchical relationship, it is possible to obtain the feature that it is possible to clearly define the association of which service provider 50 provides what specific service.
[0032]
The three-digit town codes “000” to “999” correspond to the above-described four-digit child codes, such as town codes, for example, additional contents explanations for specific service items, etc. defined by “1000” to “9999”. This code is assigned to the item and used. Therefore, this three-digit town code corresponds to the grandchild code in the lowest hierarchy when viewed from the so-called four-digit independent parent codes “0000” to “0999”, and is similarly a four-digit child code “ From the viewpoint of “1000” to “9999”, the three-digit town codes “000” to “999” are so-called child codes corresponding to lower layers having these four-digit town codes as parents.
Further, the allocation of the three-digit town codes “000” to “999” is provided by the system
Needless to say, this three-digit town code can also be assigned to the independent parent codes “0000” to “0999”.

9 to 13 are explanatory diagrams showing an example in which the definition example of the town code system shown in FIG. 8 is applied.
FIG. 9 is an example of a Web content page that represents the entire service handled by the service center in the service providing system of the present invention using the title “electronic community plaza list”. As the service provider, “community blue”, “area” "2003 Modern Information", "Electronic Children's Association", "Electronic Community Promise Exploration", "Student Welcome", "Shopping Plaza", "Information Exchange for Learners", "Information Exchange for Workers", etc. It represents that four-digit town codes “0001” to “0008” are assigned to each.
The town code “0000” displayed in the upper right of FIG. 9 indicates that the town code is assigned to the system name “electronic community square list”. Furthermore, the names “View Home”, “View Table of Contents”, “Back to Previous”, “Proceed to Next”, “Print This Page”, and “Start Printing (Confirmation)” are displayed in the lower part of FIG. For the operation control commands used in the

FIG. 10 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of a Web content page when the service provider “Community Aoi” shown in FIG. 9 is selected.
As shown in the figure, the town code “0001” is displayed in the upper right of FIG. 10 and the
On the other hand, in the content display area in the center portion of the screen, in this example, a list of the numbers of information magazines handled by “Community Aoi” is displayed, and No. corresponding to each number is displayed. No. 1 to No. It represents that “1011” is assigned sequentially from the 4-digit town code “1001” to the latest issue of No. 11.
[0036]
FIG. 11 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of a Web content page when “No. 11 latest issue” of “Community Aoi” shown in FIG. 10 is selected.
As shown in the figure, the town code “1011” is displayed in the upper right of FIG. 11, and the fact that “No. 11 latest issue” of “Community Aoi” is currently selected is displayed on the
On the other hand, in the content display area at the center of the screen, in this example, a list of table of contents items handled in “No. 11 latest issue” of “Community Aoi” is displayed, and a 4-digit number is displayed for each title name. This indicates that “2007” is assigned sequentially from the town code “2001”.
[0037]
Each item to which “2007” is sequentially assigned from the 4-digit town code “2001” shown in FIG. 11, that is, “This month's feature article”, “City entertainment guide”, “Bargain / shopping guide”, “Lecture” "Services / Course Information", "Insurance / Welfare Information", "Sport Outdoor Information", "Downloading Application Form for Public Facility Use, Certificate Issuance Service" are the service items handled by the service provider. Hit the title. Since these so-called title information alone cannot express the specific contents, the details of these items are specified or explained using the town code of a lower hierarchy.
[0038]
12 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of a Web content page when the title “Feature article of the month” of “No. 11 latest issue” of “Community Aoi” shown in FIG. 11 is selected. As shown in the figure, the town code “2001” is displayed in the upper right of FIG. 12, and the title “Special feature of the month” of “No. 11 latest issue” of “Community Aoi” is currently selected. Is displayed on the
On the other hand, in the content display area at the center of the screen, in this example, a list of article content items handled with the title “Special issue of this month” of “No. 11 latest issue” of “Community Aoi” is displayed. It represents that “006” is sequentially assigned from the three-digit town code “001” to each content item name.
[0039]
FIG. 13 shows the case where the article “To the era of broadband” is selected as the fifth article item of “This month's feature article” of “No. 11 latest issue” of “Community Aoi” shown in FIG. It is explanatory drawing which showed the example of the web content page. As shown in the figure, the town code “005” corresponding to the lowest layer is displayed in the upper right of FIG. In this state, since the hierarchy has already reached the lowest layer, the “No. 11 latest issue” of “No. 11” of “Community Aoi” indicating the link to the upper hierarchy is displayed in the header display section. The hierarchical relationship of “Article” remains displayed, and the item “To Broadband Era” representing the selected article item is displayed in the title display portion of 510a, and this item is currently selected and displayed on the screen. Represents. Further, the items below “View Home” displayed in the lower part of FIG. 13 are displayed as common display contents in any Web content page as described above.
[0040]
In the example of FIG. 13 described above, an example is shown in which the content of the content is composed of a plurality of screens. Therefore, in this example, the content display area at the center of the screen includes three pages on the Web content page in “To the era of broadband” in “Special issue of this month” of “No. 11 latest issue” of “Community Aoi” The contents of the eyes are displayed. In order to show this state, the content displayed in the title display area is displayed as “To the Broadband Era (3/3)”, so that it is clearly shown to the service user which part of the article content is displayed. It will be a thing. The reason why content is displayed in such a way that it is divided into multiple pages is necessary because it cannot be guaranteed that the article will fit within one screen when the article is displayed as a Web page due to restrictions on the screen display size. This is because a method is adopted in which the content is divided into a plurality of content pages and display control is performed sequentially in the page order.
[0041]
FIG. 14 shows a town code system that uses a JAN code (also called ISBN code for books) widely used for specifying various products and books as codes for specifying products handled by the service provider. It is explanatory drawing which showed the definition example of the town code system when it takes in as a part and defines and allocates a code system, and uses it with the service provision system of this invention.
At present, most barcodes used for products in Japan are based on the JAN (Japan Article Number) standard, and a 13-digit standard type and an 8-digit shortened type are used. When the service provider handles the product, it is very convenient that the JAN code attached to the product can be used as a part of the code as it is and is an effective product identification means. Therefore, in the example shown in FIG. The code is assigned and used as a child code group having a 4-digit town code as a parent code. The reason for this is that the use of JAN codes representing products cannot be ruled out by different service providers providing services for the same products, so the hierarchical relationship can be solved by allocating them below the 4-digit town code. I am trying. On the other hand, even if a service provider handles the same product, various value-added services dependent on the product, for example, if the target product is an ingredient, attach an introductory article on recipes such as cooking methods, or the efficacy and use of the product Content that describes information such as methods is an indispensable marketing tool for differentiation from other companies in the industry that provide services. In the present invention, in order to enable the provision of such additional contents, the JAN code is used as a so-called parent code and the 3-digit town code is arbitrarily used as a lower layer code as shown in FIG. By using the definition of a town code system that can do this, we can meet these requirements.
[0042]
FIG. 15 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of a Web content page when the service provider Yokohama / Kanazawa Fukuura uses, for example, the JAN code shown in FIG. 14 as part of the town code.
As shown in the figure, the town code “1000” indicating the Yokohama / Kanazawa Fukuura store handled by the service provider is the so-called parent code in the hierarchical structure, and identifies the product handled here. As the child code, the barcode value in the JAN code format attached to the product itself is used as it is, which indicates that it is used / displayed as a code for specifying the target product in the product list.
The effect of the present invention described above is that the service provider can easily incorporate the currently used barcode such as the JAN code into the service provision system of the present invention. For this reason, there is no need for troublesome work such as having to assign a new code, so that it can be easily used as a more convenient device.

Operation control commands for the
[0044]
FIG. 16 is an explanatory diagram regarding a browsing operation by a page turning operation when a service user views Web content using the
As described above, the
In FIG. 16, “0001”, “1011”, and the like represent the pages of the respective Web contents designated by the town code, and the thick arrow in the figure indicates that the service user has directly selected the town code. Screen transition, thin arrow indicates the transition of the display screen when “04” representing the town code for operation “next” is selected, and the thin arrow indicated by the alternate long and short dash line indicates the contents of the Web page in the same hierarchy When the town code “04”, which is “go to the next”, is further selected when the page representing the page reaches the final page, the page turning transition is shown.
On the other hand, when the town code “03” indicating “return to previous” is selected, it returns to the previous operation state that is normally called “UnDO”, that is, returns to the display state of the previous page. become.
Also, the portion displayed as the web content page when “01” representing “Home” is selected and when “02” representing “Viewing the table of contents” is selected is described in the figure. That's right.
The town codes “001” -1, “001” -2, etc. in the figure indicate that these Web pages are divided into a plurality of pages and displayed as in the example shown in FIG. Yes.
[0045]
The page turning control shown in the example of FIG. 16 shows an example in the case where the crossing control between layers is not performed. That is, as shown by the one-dot chain line in the figure, when “next” is selected in a state where the last page of the Web page has been reached, control is performed so as to return to the first page in the same hierarchy.
[0046]
FIG. 17 is a diagram for explaining the state of page transition when page turning control is performed between layers. As shown in the figure, when page turning control is used to move between hierarchies, “Next” is selected when the last page of the web page is reached as shown by the dashed line in FIG. Then, control is performed so that the display content is returned to the first page of the next higher hierarchy.
This page control method for performing hierarchical traversal brings about the convenience of usability that a result closer to the page turning sensation when viewing a book or magazine can be obtained.
[0047]
As described above, since the web page browsing operation method of the present invention method can be performed only by the same page turning operation as when reading a book or magazine, there is no need for troublesome scrolling operations as in the conventional method. For the user, it is possible to obtain an effect in terms of usability, which is extremely easy to understand.
[0048]
2 represents an operation control command used in the
Using this command, for example, by printing a specific table of contents page that the service user feels necessary, using a printer, not only leaflets and printed materials distributed, but also the results printed by the printer can be directly commanded. Can be used as a sheet.
The effect of controlling the information processing apparatus using the town code printed on the paper medium of the present invention is not realized by the conventional information processing apparatus. In the case of the present invention, it is possible to easily accept even an operation command for the screen.
In other words, even if a town code that is not displayed on the screen is selected from those printed on a paper medium, if the code value is a valid code value, control is transferred to the screen specified by the input code value. I can do it.
[0049]
The
As a result, as described above, the effect of the present invention that the number of digits of each town code itself can be substantially reduced by applying the hierarchical relationship is displayed on the Web content display screen or on paper. Since the area occupied by the barcode symbol printed on the medium can be significantly reduced, more flexible web content display screen design, publicity paper printed on paper media, and layout design such as flyers are easy. There are also side effects.
[0050]
As described above, the definition method of the code system itself is highly flexible by the independent judgment of each service provider under the management of the system operation manager as shown in the examples of FIGS. You can assign a town code.
The main reason for this is that, from the viewpoint of the system operation manager or service provider, for example, the town code assigned to each service menu or product is a specific independent parent code assigned by the system operation manager. As long as it has a town code as a route code and is closed among the service providers identified based on this code, the service provider itself makes a town code at its own discretion with respect to products and service items. Even if it is assigned, it is possible to easily identify and identify the object by following the hierarchical relationship in the assignment, so that there is no special problem.
The town code described above has been described using decimal values. For example, in addition to the numerical values from 0 to 9, 26 types from alphabets A to Z are added for each digit. If it is determined as information, a code value of 36 to the fourth power that can be expressed in 36-digit numbers is obtained for four digits, so even a code with a small number of digits can be obtained by the system operation manager. The number of codes to be used can be arbitrarily selected and defined based on the judgment.
[0051]
The
In addition, for public use, for example, a publicity paper with a town code as described above, a dedicated machine with a code control system consisting of a dedicated display terminal device and a barcode reader having a function as an information processing device, It may be provided next to a public telephone or in the city hall lobby.
The effect of the dedicated machine according to the present invention at this time is different from the case of using a normal personal computer or the like because the input means is only equipped with a barcode reader and the commands that can be input are limited only to the town code. The effect that no intentional mischief operation is accepted can be obtained. This effect is that the side providing these dedicated devices is a dedicated device having a mechanism that is easy to operate and does not accept mischievous operations in principle, so that maintenance management including maintenance is easy. Bring.
[0052]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention provides an information processing apparatus that has a particularly large effect in a community or the like in which the ratio of elderly people to service users is high. As a service providing system, a public information paper, a flyer, etc. A simple code is printed on the paper medium, and the service user reads the code with a barcode reader, or reads the code included in the Web content displayed on the display screen of the display device with the barcode reader. It is possible to obtain various information by reading directly from the display screen, etc., or to order the operation control as an information processing device using the code control method to purchase products etc. It can be easily realized without learning.
That is, since the service user can operate the information processing apparatus itself as an information processing apparatus based on the code control method in spite of the fact that the information processing apparatus is used, the service user is complicated as conventional information processing apparatus operating means. The object can be achieved only by a code reading operation using a simple bar code reader without requiring any keyboard operation or mouse operation.
In addition, local governments and shops that are service providers can only print codes on regular publicity papers and product leaflets, and only use the coordinate selection operation method by mouse operations on the display screen contents of conventional information processing devices. In addition to relying on IT system usage, it is possible to build a system that allows users to easily use IT systems via the Internet using familiar paper media, and aging is rapidly progressing. Even in a community that is doing this, it is possible to increase the age group that can actively use the IT system and contribute to the activation of the community itself.
