Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a system for managing and operating points given through purchase of goods, use of services, cooperation of questionnaires, volunteer activities, transfer of points, and the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, as a means of promoting the sale of goods or the provision of services, a service of giving predetermined points to customers according to the purchase amount or the use amount has been actively performed. By accumulating a certain number of these points, for example, all or a part of the purchase price of the product or the usage fee of the service can be used.
[0003]
However, small and medium-sized stores, etc., are not cost effective to perform this point-granting service on their own, and when issuing a common point card among multiple member stores, the point card is simply displayed on the point card. Since only the information of the accumulated points is recorded, there is an inconvenience that the burden amount for each member store becomes unclear.
[0004]
Conventionally, in order to solve the above-mentioned inconveniences, each store transmits point data given to a customer from a communication terminal to a server via a network, and converts the points into electronic money on the server. Thus, there has been provided a system in which a corresponding amount of the converted electronic money is reduced from the account file of each store, and a customer purchases a product or the like in each store using the converted electronic money (for example, there has been provided a system). And
[0005]
According to this system, point management is performed by the server management company, so small- and medium-sized stores do not need to construct their own point service system, thereby improving cost efficiency. Since the electronic money is subtracted from the account file, the burden on each store was clear even if it was implemented between multiple member stores.

[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-mentioned conventional system, the points are used only as a means for settlement of a price or a fee for the purchase of a product or the use of a service, and the use range is limited.
[0008]
Furthermore, in the above-mentioned conventional system, the electronic money converted from the points can be used only at stores participating in the system, and, for example, if there is no product to be purchased at these stores, the point user is As a result, the use of points has to be abandoned, and the points may not be used effectively.
[0009]
In the above-described conventional system, authentication is performed in order to access the server. However, more strict authentication processing should be required as long as points are treated as being equivalent to money.
[0010]
In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a point management and operation system in which the use range of points is expanded under strict authentication processing and points are effectively used.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the system according to the present invention transmits a signal indicating that the number of points specified by the point holder is given to the point user from a communication terminal via a communication network such as the Internet, The specified number of points is moved from the storage file storing the points owned by the point holder to the storage file of the point user, and the increase / decrease of points of each storage file due to this movement is synchronized with the management file, and A point management operation system including a server having a transfer means for converting the moved points into cash at a predetermined conversion rate, collecting the converted cash from the account of the point holder, and transferring the converted cash to the account for the management file. The server, in response to the request of the point user, a point Transfer means for transferring all or a part of the points stored in the user's storage file from the account of the management file to the point user's account with cash, and storing the points transferred to cash for the point user Erasing means for erasing the file and the management file.
[0012]
According to this configuration, when a point is given from the point holder to the point user, the point moves between the files stored in the both, the point file is synchronized with the increase / decrease in the management file, and the moved point is cashed. The account has been transferred to the management file. Therefore, the point user can transfer the given points from the account of the management file to cash at any time, and when transferring the cash to cash, it is necessary to match the number of points in the storage file of the point user and the number of points in the management file. To transfer points, delete the transferred points.
[0013]
Here, points are points that can be converted into cash provided by purchasing goods, using services, cooperating with questionnaires, volunteer activities, games such as electronic roulette, etc. Even if the mileage is not given by the name of a point, such as a mileage to be earned, the point in the present invention is included as long as it meets the above-mentioned purpose.
[0014]
Further, the transfer of points includes not only transfer between point holders and point users, but also transfer between points.
[0015]
For convenience, the point holder is a generic name of a person who distributes the point first, and if a point holder later receives points from another point holder or a point user, the point holder becomes a point user. . The distribution of points between point holders and point users, or the distribution of points between point users and point users, may take various forms, for example, between companies and customers, between companies and companies, between customers and customers. Can be
[0016]
If the values of the points of the plurality of point holders are different from each other, the server may be provided with a conversion means for converting the points into the same value in order to unify the values of the points.
[0017]
If the point user desires, the server may transfer all or a part of the points stored in the file of the point user, in addition to the cash, foreign currency, electronic money, electronic metal, securities, etc. Can be converted at a predetermined conversion rate, and the converted equivalent can be transferred to the point user. Also in this case, in order to match the number of points, the transferred points may be deleted from the storage file and the management file of the point user.
[0018]
By the way, when a point user uses the above-mentioned system to pay other point users for the purchase of goods or the payment of fees for the use of services, the point user must A signal indicating the settlement is transmitted from the communication terminal to the server via a communication network such as the Internet. The server, upon receiving this signal, converts the payment amount into points at a predetermined conversion rate, and moves the converted points from the point user storage file to the other point user storage file. In addition, the increase / decrease of points due to this movement is synchronized with the management file, the cash corresponding to the moved points is collected from the point user's account and transferred to the management file account, and the other points are collected. At the request of the user, the moved points are transferred to cash or an equivalent by the transfer means. Also in this case, the moved point may be deleted from the storage file and the management file of the other point user by the deletion unit.
[0019]
In the transfer of points for the settlement, when the point user has applied for the purchase of goods or for the use of services, the server converts the converted points into a deposit file provided in the server. To the other point users who receive the settlement amount, that the converted points have been deposited. The other point users who have received this notification deliver the goods or provide services to the point users who have applied. Thereafter, if the points deposited in the file stored by the other point users are moved as the settlement amount in accordance with the instructions of the point user who made the application, so-called escrow settlement becomes possible using the points. , Secure transactions are possible.
[0020]
In addition, in the above escrow settlement, if the conditions of the settlement are changed after the points are deposited in the deposit file, the server according to the contents of the change, the server of the points deposited in the deposit file. All or a part may be returned to the point user's storage file or moved to the other point user's storage file.
[0021]
Here, the change of the settlement conditions is, for example, when the point user cancels the application for purchase of the product, the application for the use of the service, when the point user changes the quantity of the product, or For example, there is a case where an application for purchase is made immediately after a product whose quantity is limited has been sold out, and points have already been deposited in the deposit file.
[0022]
In each of the settlements, if the number of points corresponding to the settlement amount is insufficient in the file stored by the point user, the server communicates with the point user via a communication network such as the Internet. What is necessary is just to transmit a signal to the effect that settlement is impossible due to a shortage of points to the terminal, and display the signal on a display device provided in the communication terminal of the point user.
[0023]
By the way, the communication terminal includes, for example, a personal computer connectable to the communication network, or a portable terminal, a mobile phone, or a medium on which an IC chip such as an IC card is mounted, a reader / writer for the medium, and a reader / writer for the medium. There is an IC chip system including a communication terminal connectable to a writer, which can be connected to the communication network.
[0024]
Here, the medium on which the IC chip is mounted is, for example, an IC card, an IC tag, or the like.
[0025]
In addition, in order to connect the communication terminal with the file stored in each of the point holder and the point user on the server, personal authentication using an ID and a password is performed, and a unique hardware ID or the like unique to each communication terminal is used. If an authentication server that performs automatic authentication based on a number is provided, the above-mentioned automatic authentication is weighted in addition to the above-mentioned individual authentication that is generally performed in the past, so that the points are treated as being equivalent to money, and more strict authentication processing is performed. Becomes possible. In the above-mentioned IC chip system, mutual authentication is usually performed off-line between the medium and the reader / writer. Therefore, the authentication process is further weighted, and the point data is recorded in a storage file on a server. Since the medium is not recorded on the medium itself, even if the medium is lost, it is not immediately misused by a third party who has acquired the medium.
[0026]
Therefore, the above-mentioned IC chip system is most preferable as a communication terminal in terms of security.
[0027]
When the point holder and the point user in which the storage file is created request browsing of the details of the points stored in the own storage file, the communication terminal may specify the details of the points stored in the own storage file. A signal for a browsing request is transmitted via the communication network, an authentication process is performed by the authentication server, and the server is caused to display details of the browsing request on a display device provided in the communication terminal. What should I do?
[0028]
The point management and operation system presupposes the distribution of points in a country where a common currency is used. Therefore, if this point management and operation system is provided in a plurality of countries, the value of points in each country may differ.
[0029]
Therefore, in order to provide the point management and operation system in a plurality of countries and distribute the points distributed in the home country from the communication terminal via the communication network through the foreign point management and operation system, What is necessary is just to provide the conversion means which converts into the point distributed in the foreign country.
[0030]
When the server is operated, a predetermined conversion fee may be subtracted from the converted points, the converted cash, or the equivalent when performing the various conversions.
[0031]

【The invention's effect】
As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the points given to the point user are not limited to the use of payment, such as the payment of the purchase price of the product, as in the related art. Therefore, the effect of extending the use range of points can be expected. For example, for a point holder such as a store, an increase in sales promotion effect by giving points is expected.
[0077]
In addition, for point users such as customers, by expanding the range of use of points, it is possible to effectively use points by cashing out points that have been left unused because they have low utility value in the past. .
[0078]
Furthermore, since the points are used as pseudo money as described above, strict authentication processing is required. In the present invention, in addition to normal personal authentication, automatic authentication based on the unique number of the communication terminal is weighted, and furthermore, IC In the chip system, mutual authentication is performed off-line between the medium and the reader / writer, so that high reliability of the system can be expected. Even if the point storage file of each point user is falsified or destroyed, the management file is still synchronized, so measures for recovery are also considered.
