【従来の技術】
近年における茶道は、日本文化の一つの象徴となって繁栄の一途を歩いている。その茶道のための点前道具として、茶器、茶碗、茶灼、茶巾などとともに、茶筅がある。茶筅は、通常、白竹でできており、穂先の形態によって、真数穂、数穂、荒穂、煤保穂に分けられるが、基本的には、筒軸に取り付けた菊門状の茶じみを有する中子と、王冠状の穂先を有するもので、長い歴史をもつ茶道において完成された形態を有するものである。

その消耗の程度を低減するための方策が、従来から種々提案されている。例えば、特許文献１には、茶筅の形を保持し、使用期間を延ばす「茶筅の癖直し器」が提案されているが、茶筅の使い易さを維持しつつその寿命を延ばすための本質的な解決手段にはなりえない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明が解決しようとする課題は、従来からの竹製と同等の使い易さを有し、穂先に摩耗や変形やへたりを生じることなく、寿命を延ばすことができ、さらには、他の点前道具と比較してもその外観に違和感を生じることのない茶筅を提供することにある。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を、本発明を真数穂の茶筅に適用した具体的な実施例に基づいて説明する。

図１は本発明の茶筅を縦位置にして、左側半面にその側方から見た外観を示し、右側半面にその断面構造を示している。同図に示すように、本発明に係る茶筅１０は、それぞれ別個に形成された陶磁器製の筒軸１と、先端に茶じみ２１を持つ中子２と、王冠状の穂先３１を有する金属製キャップ３とから構成されている。

本発明に係る茶筅は、基本構造と使い勝手は従来の白竹製のものと同じでありながら、穂先の摩耗とへたりがなく、従来の単なる消耗品のイメージから脱却して、茶碗その他の点茶用の道具と同様の評価を受けるようになり、その商品価値も向上する。
