本発明は、画像形成装置の騒音を静める静音化装置の技術に関する。

スピーカとマイクと逆位相生成回路(DSP回路)を備え、マイクで集めた音を逆位相でスピーカに出力することで静音化する静音化装置は、特許文献1に提案されている。また特許文献2にもオーディオ装置において、同様の技術によりスピーカの静音化を図ることが提案されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし従来技術では、機器本体外部に専用のスピーカを備えているため、コスト的に不利である。ここで画像形成装置他、各種機器においては、内部モニタースピーカが備わっている。
また単に逆位相を生成しただけでは十分な静音(消音)化は実現できない。一般に、音源位置と逆位相の音源位置とが1/4波長ずれると逆位相による静音効果はなくなると言われている。従って波長の短い音では、音源位置と逆位相の音源位置とが異なると共振して音が大きくなる場合がある。
本発明はこのような背景に鑑みてなされたものであり、省スペース、低コスト化を図ること及び、発生騒音に最適な逆位相の音を発生させることを目的とする。

上記目的を達成するために、請求項1記載の発明は、機器の状態を音で伝えるために機器内部に設けられたモニタースピーカと、モニタースピーカに並列に接続されたマイクと、マイクからの入力信号を逆位相の信号に変換する逆位相生成回路とを備えた静音化装置を最も主要な特徴とする。
請求項2記載の発明は、請求項1記載の静音化装置において、マイクからのモニタースピーカへの出力レベル調整、周波数調整が可能である静音化装置を主要な特徴とする。
請求項3記載の発明は、請求項2記載の静音化装置において、マイクからのモニタースピーカへの出力レベル調整、周波数調整を行うボリュームを備えた静音化装置を主要な特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に従って説明する。
図1は本発明の実施の形態に係るファクシミリ装置の機構図、図2は同じく、機能ブロック図である。図1に示すように、本ファクシミリ装置は、光書込ユニット1、画像形成ユニツト2、給紙ユニット3を備える。
また図2に示すように、本ファクシミリ装置は、メモリ11、NCU12、表示部13、システムメモリ14、制御部15、読取部16、操作部17、書込部18(光書込ユニット1に相当)、マイク19、DSP20、周波数フィルタ21、スピーカ(モニタースピーカ)22、ボリューム23を備える。ボリューム23は、モニタースピーカ22への出力レベルと周波数を調整するためのものである。
マイク19から入った稼働音は、逆位相生成回路(DSP20及び周波数フィルタ21)を通り、機器内部のモニタースピーカ22から出力される。この際ボリューム23で音量及び周波数が調整された音をモニタースピーカ22から出力する。
マイク19から入った稼働音が逆位相生成回路(DSP20及び周波数フィルタ21)を通り、機器内部のモニタースピーカ22から出力されることで、機器内部の音が逆位相で変換されることになり、モニタースピーカ22から発する音の静音化を図ることができる。
また前述したように、波長の短い音では、音源位置と逆位相の音源位置とが異なると共振して音が大きくなる場合があるので、本発明では長い周波数に限定して逆位相を発生させる。ボリューム23はその際に利用される。
またボリューム23の代わりに操作部17上にソフトボリュームスイッチを設け、操作部17上でモニタースピーカ22から出力される音を調整する(音量及び周波数)こともできる。

【発明の効果】
請求項1記載の発明によれば、逆位相によって静音化する場合に、専用のスピーカを用いることなく、安価に静音化を実現することができるようになる。また、静音化のためのスペースが最小限ですむようになる。
請求項2ないし5記載の発明によれば、マイクからのモニタースピーカへの出力レベル調整、周波数調整が可能であるので、状況に応じて静音化効果を最大限ならしめることができる。
請求項6記載の発明によれば、付加価値の高い画像形成装置を提供することができる。
