【0052】
ΔOSA=α・mfr・(abyfsave − stoich) …(6)
【0053】
ΔOSA=α・Gau・Δt=α・Ga・Δt …(7)
【0054】
OSA=ΣΔOSA …(8)
【0055】

【0080】
fw(k+1)=R・fi(k)+P・fw(k) …(16)
【0081】
【0084】
fc(k)=(1−R)・fi(k)+(1−P)・fw(k) …(17)
【0085】
【0086】
fi(k)={fc(k)−(1−P)・fw(k)}/(1−R) …(18)
【0087】
【0092】
Q=β・Q+(1−β)・Ga …(19)
【0093】
【0104】
また、CPU71は酸素吸蔵量OSAを推定するために、図8に示したルーチンを所定時間Δt(Δtは実行間隔時間と呼ばれ、図7に示したルーチンを実行する間隔Δtsより相当大きい。)

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a control device for an internal combustion engine having a catalyst having an oxygen storage function in an exhaust passage, and more particularly, to an internal combustion engine capable of estimating an amount of fuel actually attached to a member constituting an intake passage of the internal combustion engine. Related to a control device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a fuel adhesion amount fw which is an amount of fuel adhering to a member constituting an intake passage such as an intake manifold (hereinafter, referred to as an "intake passage constituting member") is defined by the following (1) describing a fuel behavior. ) Is estimated using a fuel behavior model (also referred to as a “dynamic characteristic model of fuel” or a “fuel adhesion model”) represented by the following equation, and the estimated fuel adhesion amount fw is used in the following (2). 2. Description of the Related Art There is known a fuel injection amount control device for an internal combustion engine that determines a fuel injection amount fi according to an equation and injects fuel having the determined fuel injection amount fi.
[0003]
In the following formulas (1) and (2), R is the rate at which the injected fuel adheres to the intake passage components (fuel attachment ratio), and P is the amount of fuel adhering to the intake passage components. This is a rate (fuel remaining rate) that remains without being sucked into the cylinder during the intake stroke. Fc is the amount of fuel to be supplied to the cylinders of the internal combustion engine in order to set the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture supplied to the internal combustion engine (hereinafter referred to as “air-fuel ratio of the internal combustion engine”) to the target air-fuel ratio. [Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above-described conventional apparatus, the fuel adhesion rate R is determined based on a table (map) MapR that defines the relationship between the engine operation state and the fuel adhesion rate R and the actual engine operation state. Similarly, in the conventional device, the residual fuel ratio P is determined based on a table MapP defining the relationship between the engine operating state and the residual fuel ratio P and the actual engine operating state.
[0008]
However, due to differences in fuel properties, variations in engine manufacturing, and changes in the deposit amount that changes with the operation of the engine, for example, the fuel adhesion rate R and the fuel residual rate P do not become correct values. As a result, the fuel behavior model becomes inaccurate, the estimated fuel adhesion amount fw becomes inaccurate, and the air-fuel ratio of the engine deviates from the target air-fuel ratio, and as a result, the amount of unburned gas and NOx emissions increases. There's a problem.
[0009]
[Overview of the present invention]
In this case, even in a limited operating state, if there is a case where the actual fuel adhesion amount (hereinafter, referred to as “actual fuel adhesion amount”) can be accurately estimated, the actual fuel adhesion amount and the fuel behavior model are used. The fuel behavior model (for example, the fuel adhesion rate R and the fuel residual rate P) can be corrected on the basis of the fuel adhesion amount estimated by the above. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of accurately estimating the actual fuel adhesion amount, and a control of the internal combustion engine capable of correcting a fuel behavior model based on the estimated actual fuel adhesion amount. It is to provide a device.
[0010]
A control device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention includes a catalyst provided in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine and having an oxygen storage function, an oxygen concentration sensor for detecting a concentration of oxygen contained in gas downstream of the catalyst, and an oxygen concentration sensor. Intake air amount obtaining means for obtaining the amount of intake air, fuel injection amount determining means for determining a fuel injection amount that is an amount of fuel to be injected into the internal combustion engine based on the obtained intake air amount, Fuel injection means for injecting fuel of the determined fuel injection amount, fuel cut execution means for stopping fuel injection to the internal combustion engine, and the fuel injection being stopped by the fuel cut execution means and stopping the fuel injection Is continued, the amount of oxygen contained in the gas flowing into the catalyst is estimated based on the acquired intake air amount, and based on the estimated amount of oxygen, An oxygen storage amount estimating unit for estimating an element storage amount, and the estimated oxygen storage amount is the maximum of the catalyst when the fuel injection is stopped by the fuel cut execution unit and the fuel injection is stopped. A first timing at which the oxygen storage amount is reached and a second timing at which the detected oxygen concentration reaches a value substantially equal to the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere are detected. An actual fuel adhesion amount estimating an actual fuel adhesion amount which is an amount of fuel actually adhering to a member constituting an intake passage of the internal combustion engine at the time when the stop of the fuel injection is started based on the second timing; Estimating means.
[0011]
The catalyst has an oxygen storage function, and can store oxygen therein. When the fuel injection is stopped by the fuel cut execution means and the stop of the fuel injection is continued, the oxygen storage amount estimating means determines that only oxygen flows into the catalyst and determines the amount of the oxygen. The estimation is performed based on the intake air amount, and the oxygen storage amount of the catalyst is estimated based on the estimated oxygen amount.
[0012]
Therefore, as shown after time t1 in FIG. 1, when the fuel injection is stopped at time t1 (when the fuel cut is executed), the estimated oxygen storage amount is the amount of unburned fuel and oxygen stored in the catalyst. Increases at a relatively large speed as compared with the case of flowing in (see the broken line in FIG. 1B). As a result, at the first timing (time t2 in FIG. 1) at which a predetermined time has elapsed since the fuel injection was stopped, the estimated oxygen storage amount reaches the maximum oxygen storage amount Cmax of the catalyst.
[0013]
At this time, the following equation (3) is established. OSAt1 is the oxygen storage amount estimated at the time when the stop of the fuel injection is started (time t1). Ga is the amount of intake air of the internal combustion engine per unit time (mass flow rate of intake air of the internal combustion engine, intake air flow rate), and is equal to the amount of air flowing into the catalyst per unit time. α is the weight ratio of oxygen in the atmosphere, for example, 0.23. That is, the second term on the right side of the equation (3) indicates the total amount of oxygen contained in the gas flowing into the catalyst during the period from the stop of the fuel injection to the first timing (time t1 to time t2).
[0014]
[Equation 3]
[0015]
On the other hand, actually, even when the fuel injection is stopped, the fuel adhering to the intake port constituting members such as the intake port and the back surface of the intake valve is sucked into the cylinder. The fuel sucked into the cylinder flows into the catalyst, and similarly consumes oxygen flowing into the catalyst and oxygen stored in the catalyst.
[0016]
Therefore, as shown by the solid line from time t1 to time t3 in FIG. 1B, the actual oxygen is compared with the case where only the atmosphere flows into the catalyst (shown by the broken line in FIG. 1B). The increase in the storage amount (hereinafter, referred to as “actual oxygen storage amount”) is slowed down, so that the actual oxygen storage amount is delayed at the second timing (the time t3 in FIG. 1) that is later than the first timing. At the second timing, a large amount of oxygen begins to flow downstream of the catalyst at the second timing, so that it is detected by the oxygen concentration sensor as shown at time t3 in FIG. The oxygen concentration changes to a value (lean output) substantially equal to the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere.
[0017]
When this is converted into a mathematical expression, the expression (4) is obtained. In the equation (4), Kfw is a predetermined coefficient. SUMFw is the actual amount of fuel adhering to the intake passage components at the time when the fuel injection was stopped (time t1).
[0018]
(Equation 4)
[0019]
Therefore, the following equation (5) is obtained from the equations (3) and (4).
[0020]
(Equation 5)
[0021]
From this equation (5), the oxygen concentration detected from the first timing (time t2) when the estimated oxygen storage amount reaches the maximum oxygen storage amount of the catalyst reaches a value substantially equal to the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere. The length of time until the second timing (time t3) is, for example, when the air flow (oxygen flow) flowing into the catalyst during the period from the first timing to the second timing is constant, the fuel injection is stopped. It can be derived that it is proportional to the amount of fuel actually adhering to the intake passage constituent members (actual fuel adhering amount) SUMFw at the time of starting (time t1).
[0022]
Also, from equation (5), when the air flow rate (oxygen flow rate) flowing into the catalyst fluctuates, the value obtained by integrating the air flow rate (oxygen flow rate) with time from the first timing to the second timing is determined by the fuel injection stoppage. It can also be derived that the amount of fuel is actually proportional to the actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw that has adhered to the intake passage constituting member at the time when the start is started.
[0023]
Therefore, the actual fuel adhering amount estimating means calculates the first timing (time t2) when the estimated oxygen storage amount reaches the maximum oxygen storage amount of the catalyst and the detected oxygen concentration is substantially equal to the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere. A second timing (time t3) that reaches the same value is detected, and at the time (time t1) when the stop of fuel injection is started based on the detected first timing and the detected second timing, the intake passage is started. The amount of fuel actually adhering to the constituent members (actual fuel adhering amount) is estimated. According to this, it is possible to estimate the actual fuel adhesion amount at the time when the stop of the fuel injection is started, using the difference between the change in the estimated value of the oxygen storage amount of the catalyst and the change in the actual value.
[0024]
Further, as described above, the actual fuel adhesion amount estimating means obtains the total amount of oxygen flowing into the catalyst during the period from the first detected timing to the second detected timing, and obtains the obtained oxygen. Is preferably configured to estimate the actual fuel adhesion amount based on the total amount of the fuel. According to this, even in an operating state in which the amount of oxygen (the flow rate of oxygen) flowing into the catalyst fluctuates, the actual amount of attached fuel can be accurately estimated.
[0025]
Further, in this case, the actual fuel adhering amount estimating means acquires the total amount of the intake air amount of the internal combustion engine in a period from the detected first timing to the detected second timing, and acquires the acquired intake air amount. Is preferably configured to obtain the total amount of oxygen flowing into the catalyst based on the total amount of oxygen. From the first timing to the second timing, since the same amount of air as the intake air amount of the internal combustion engine flows into the catalyst, it is possible to acquire the total amount of the intake air amount of the internal combustion engine that can be easily obtained. Thus, the total amount of oxygen flowing into the catalyst (accordingly, the actual fuel adhesion amount) can be accurately estimated.
[0026]
In addition, since the actual fuel adhesion amount at the time when the stop of the fuel injection is started (time t1) is accurately estimated, the actual fuel adhesion amount thus estimated and the stop of the fuel injection are started. The fuel behavior model can be corrected by comparing the fuel adhesion amount estimated by the fuel behavior model at the time.
[0027]
That is, another control device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention includes a catalyst having an oxygen storage function provided in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine, an oxygen concentration sensor for detecting a concentration of oxygen contained in gas downstream of the catalyst, and An intake air amount acquiring means for acquiring an intake air amount of the internal combustion engine, and a fuel adhesion amount, which is an amount of fuel adhering to a member constituting an intake passage of the internal combustion engine, is represented by a formula using a fuel adhesion parameter. Fuel adhesion amount estimating means for estimating according to the obtained fuel behavior model, and determining a fuel injection amount, which is an amount of fuel to be injected into the internal combustion engine, based on the acquired intake air amount and the estimated fuel adhesion amount. Fuel injection amount determining means, fuel injection means for injecting fuel of the determined fuel injection amount, and fuel cut execution means for stopping fuel injection to the internal combustion engine. .
[0028]
Further, the control device for the internal combustion engine may obtain the amount of oxygen contained in the gas flowing into the catalyst when the fuel injection is stopped by the fuel cut execution unit and the stop of the fuel injection is continued. An oxygen storage amount estimating means for estimating the oxygen storage amount of the catalyst based on the estimated intake air amount, and an oxygen storage amount of the catalyst based on the estimated oxygen amount; and wherein the fuel injection is stopped by the fuel cut execution means. The first timing at which the estimated oxygen storage amount reaches the maximum oxygen storage amount of the catalyst when the fuel injection stop is continued, and the detected oxygen concentration is substantially equal to the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere. Detecting a second timing at which the fuel injection reaches a value, and stopping the fuel injection based on the detected first timing and the detected second timing. The actual fuel adhesion amount estimating means for estimating the actual fuel adhesion amount, which is the amount of fuel actually adhering to the members constituting the intake passage of the internal combustion engine, and the actual fuel adhesion amount estimated by the actual fuel adhesion amount estimating means. Fuel behavior model modifying means for modifying the fuel behavior model based on the fuel adhesion amount and the fuel adhesion amount estimated at the time when the stop of the fuel injection is started by the fuel adhesion amount estimating means.
[0029]
Also in this case, the actual fuel adhesion amount estimation means acquires the total amount of oxygen flowing into the catalyst during the period from the first timing to the second timing, and based on the acquired total amount of oxygen, The amount of adhesion may be estimated. In addition, a total amount of intake air of the internal combustion engine in a period from the first timing to the second timing is acquired, and a total amount of oxygen flowing into the catalyst is acquired based on the acquired total amount of intake air. You may.
[0030]
According to these, the fuel adhering amount estimating means estimates the fuel adhering amount based on, for example, the above equation (1), and the actual fuel adhering amount estimating means estimates the actual fuel adhering amount based on, for example, the above equation (5). Estimate the amount. Then, the fuel behavior model correcting means includes an actual fuel adhesion amount estimated by the actual fuel adhesion amount estimating means and a fuel adhesion amount estimated at the time when the stop of the fuel injection is started by the fuel adhesion amount estimating means. , The fuel behavior model of the fuel adhesion amount estimating means is corrected.
[0031]
Therefore, since the fuel behavior model is corrected according to each engine, the fuel adhesion amount estimated by the fuel adhesion amount estimation means approaches the true fuel adhesion amount. As a result, the fuel injection amount determined based on the acquired intake air amount and the fuel adhesion amount estimated by the fuel adhesion amount estimating means becomes an appropriate value, so that the air-fuel ratio of the internal combustion engine becomes the desired air-fuel ratio ( For example, it is possible to approach the target air-fuel ratio).
[0032]

(Outline of operation of fuel injection amount control device)
Next, an outline of the operation of the present fuel injection amount control device will be described. This fuel injection amount control device estimates, for each fuel injection, a fuel amount (fuel adhesion amount) adhering to an intake passage constituting member of each cylinder using a fuel behavior model represented by an equation using a fuel adhesion parameter, The fuel injection amount is determined according to the estimated fuel adhesion amount (hereinafter, the fuel adhesion amount estimated using the fuel behavior model is also referred to as “estimated fuel adhesion amount”). Further, the fuel injection amount control device obtains the actual fuel adhesion amount actually adhering to the intake passage constituting member at the start of the fuel cut in which the fuel injection is stopped. Then, the fuel injection amount control device corrects a fuel adhesion parameter (fuel behavior model) based on the actual fuel adhesion amount and the estimated fuel adhesion amount. As a result, the accuracy of the subsequent estimated amount of fuel adhesion is improved, so that the air-fuel ratio of the engine can be brought closer to the target air-fuel ratio. Hereinafter, a method of obtaining each value required for performing such an operation will be described.

The expressions (7) and (8) are equivalent to the following expression (9). In the equation (9), the time ta is the time when the fuel cut is started, the time tb is any time during the fuel cut is continued, and the OSAfc is the estimated oxygen storage amount when the fuel cut is started. .

(Estimation of actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw)
Next, a method of estimating (acquiring) the actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw by the fuel injection amount control device will be described. The actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw is the actual fuel adhesion amount that has actually adhered to the intake passage constituent members when the stop of the fuel injection is started (when the fuel cut is started). The fuel injection amount control device estimates the actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw using the output Vabyfsb of the downstream air-
[0063]
At times t0 to t1, normal fuel injection is performed. Here, since the target air-fuel ratio is the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio, the actual air-fuel ratio of the engine is substantially the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio. Therefore, the oxygen storage amount OSA is calculated by the above equations (6) and (8). Thereafter, at time t1, the fuel cut condition is satisfied, and the fuel injection is stopped (the fuel cut state is established).
[0064]
Immediately after this time t1, the oxygen storage amount OSA is calculated by the above equations (7) and (8), so that the estimated oxygen storage amount OSA is relatively small as shown by the broken line in FIG. Start climbing at a great speed. Then, at time t2, the estimated oxygen storage amount OSA reaches the maximum oxygen storage amount Cmax. The maximum oxygen storage amount Cmax is an oxygen storage amount in a state where the

At this time, the following equation (10) is established based on the above equation (9). OSAt1 is the value of the estimated oxygen storage amount OSA at time t1. The second term on the right side of the equation (10) indicates the total amount of oxygen contained in the gas flowing into the catalyst during the period from the stop of the fuel injection to the first timing (time t1 to time t2).

(Estimation of fuel adhesion based on fuel behavior model)
The fuel injection amount control device estimates the amount of fuel adhering to the intake passage component based on the fuel behavior model, and determines the amount fi of fuel to be injected to obtain a predetermined air-fuel ratio in accordance with the estimated amount of fuel adhering. decide. In the fuel behavior model, the fuel deposition rate is estimated using the fuel deposition rate R and the fuel residual rate P as fuel deposition parameters.
[0079]
Hereinafter, a method for estimating the fuel adhesion amount will be specifically described. As shown in FIG. 5, the fuel adhesion amount fw (k + 1) after injecting the fuel amount fi (k) is obtained by the following equation (16).
[0080]
(Equation 16)
fw (k + 1) = R · fi (k) + P · fw (k) (16)
[0081]
In the above equation (16), fw (k) is a fuel adhesion amount before the fuel of the amount fi (k) is injected. R is a ratio (fuel adhesion rate) of the fuel directly adhering to the intake passage constituting member in the injected fuel. The fuel injection amount control device defines a fuel adhesion rate R as a relationship between an engine operating state (a value corresponding to an intake air amount in one intake stroke of a cylinder, an engine rotation speed, a coolant temperature, and the like) and a fuel adhesion rate R. It is determined based on the table MapR and the actual engine operation state.
[0082]
P is a ratio (fuel residual ratio) of the fuel that has already adhered to the intake passage constituting member and remains on the intake passage constituting member after one intake stroke. The fuel injection amount control device defines the fuel residual ratio P as a relationship between an engine operating state (a value corresponding to an intake air amount in one intake stroke of a cylinder, an engine rotation speed, a coolant temperature, etc.) and a fuel residual ratio P. It is determined based on the table MapP and the actual engine operating state.
[0083]
On the other hand, of the current fuel injection amount fi (k), the amount of fuel sucked into the combustion chamber (cylinder) is (1−R) · fi (k), and the amount of fuel already attached (the amount of fuel attached) ) The amount of fuel taken into the combustion chamber (cylinder) of fw (k) is (1−P) · fw (k). Therefore, assuming that fc (k) is a fuel amount (required fuel amount) required to make the air-fuel ratio of the engine coincide with the target air-fuel ratio in the current intake stroke, the air-fuel ratio of the engine is set to the target air-fuel ratio. In order to do so, the current fuel injection amount fi (k) may be determined so that the following equation (17) is satisfied.
[0084]
[Equation 17]
fc (k) = (1−R) · fi (k) + (1−P) · fw (k) (17)
[0085]
The fuel injection amount control device actually determines the current fuel injection amount fi (k) according to Expression (18) (an inverse model of the fuel behavior model) obtained by modifying Expression (17). The fuel injection amount control device injects the fuel of the determined fuel injection amount fi (k) from the
[0086]
(Equation 18)
fi (k) = {fc (k)-(1-P) .fw (k)} / (1-R) (18)
[0087]
(Modification of fuel behavior model)
As described above, the fuel injection amount control device obtains the estimated fuel adhesion amount fw and the actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw. Then, based on the estimated fuel adhesion amount fwfc and the actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw estimated by the fuel behavior model when the fuel injection is stopped (time t1), the fuel adhesion ratio R and / or the fuel adhesion parameter R / F are determined. Correct the residual ratio P (fuel behavior model). Note that fwfc is also referred to as “estimated fuel adhesion amount at the start of fuel injection stop (estimated fuel adhesion amount at the start of fuel cut) fwfc”.
[0088]
Here, as a modification example of the fuel behavior model, when the estimated fuel adhesion amount fwfc is larger than the actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw, the fuel adhesion ratio R and the fuel residual ratio P are considered to be excessive, so the correction coefficient kr is It is set to a value smaller than 1 and a value obtained by multiplying the correction coefficient kr by the fuel adhesion rate R obtained by the table MapR and the engine operating state is set as a new fuel adhesion rate R, and the fuel adhesion rate R is decreased. Similarly, the correction coefficient kp is set to a value smaller than 1, and a value obtained by multiplying the correction coefficient kp by the fuel residual rate P obtained by the table MapP and the engine operating state is set as a new fuel residual rate P as the fuel residual rate P. Decrease.
[0089]
On the other hand, when the estimated fuel adhesion amount fwfc is smaller than the actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw, it is considered that the fuel adhesion ratio R and the fuel residual ratio P are too small. Therefore, the correction coefficient kr is set to a value larger than 1 and the correction coefficient A value obtained by multiplying kr by the fuel adhesion rate R obtained from the table MapR and the engine operating state is set as a new fuel adhesion rate R, and the fuel adhesion rate R is increased. Similarly, the correction coefficient kp is set to a value larger than 1, and the value obtained by multiplying the correction coefficient kp by the fuel residual rate P obtained from the table MapP and the engine operating state is set as a new fuel residual rate P as the fuel residual rate P Increase.

Next, the actual operation of the fuel injection amount control device will be described with reference to a flowchart.

The cooling water temperature THW is used as a value representing the temperature of the intake passage constituting member, and can be replaced with the intake valve temperature or the intake pipe wall surface temperature (or an estimated value of these temperatures). Further, the fuel adhesion rate R and the fuel residual rate P may be configured to be obtained according to the SCV opening degree θiv and / or the timing VT of the variable intake valve.

Therefore, the estimated fuel adhesion amount can be correctly obtained by the corrected fuel behavior model, and the air-fuel ratio of the engine can be made closer to the target air-fuel ratio in various operating states.
[0139]
Note that the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications can be adopted within the scope of the present invention. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw is obtained based on the oxygen amount integrated value SUMO2 between the first timing and the second timing, and the estimated fuel adhesion amount fwfc at the start of the fuel injection stop and the actual fuel adhesion amount Although the fuel behavior model was corrected based on SUMFw, for example, when the intake air amount was substantially constant, the time Tfw from the first timing to the second timing was measured, and the measured time was measured. The fuel behavior model may be modified based on Tfw and the estimated fuel adhesion amount fwfc at the start of the fuel injection stop. This is because the measured time Tfw becomes a value substantially proportional to the actual fuel adhesion amount SUMFw.
