Thus, various wireless metering systems have begun to be used on a trial basis.
[0003]
FIG. 4 shows the entire configuration of a conventional water meter wireless meter reading system. 4, reference numeral 1 denotes a water meter, 2 denotes a wireless communication device for water meter reading of a slave station connected to the meter 1, and 3 denotes a handy terminal connected to a wireless communication device for water meter reading carried by the meter reader. . The water meter reading wireless communication device 2 of the slave station includes a wireless circuit 11, a control circuit 12, a battery 13, and an antenna 15, and an address number for specifying the water meter is set in each of the water meters.
In a meter reading operation by a wireless meter reading system of a water meter, for example, in a visiting meter reading operation, a meter reader approaches a meter in which the meter is to be metered, sets an address (ID) number of the meter in the handy terminal 3, and then sets the handy terminal 3. By issuing a communication request and calling the water meter meter reading wireless communication device 2 of the slave station connected to the meter of the designated address (ID) number, the integrated value of the meter is wirelessly read by the handy terminal 3. Done.
[0004]
The water meter reading wireless communication device 2 of the slave station is composed of only a low power consumption microprocessor and a few peripheral circuits that consume very little power, and the total power consumption is set to a small value. . As the battery of the water meter reading wireless communication device 2 of the slave station, a lithium primary battery which has a long-term storage performance and is generally easily available is used.
In the wireless meter reading system, in order to maximize the advantages of the wireless system such as ease of installation and low operating cost, a built-in battery is used as a power source and the meter is replaced by a metering cycle. For 10 to 10 years, extremely weak radio waves with low power consumption are used in order to operate the battery without replacing it. (Patent No. 3264642)
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The wireless meter reading system of a water meter can facilitate the meter reading operation of a water meter in an environment where meter reading is not easy by a meter reader, for example, in a snowy country, where the meter is covered with snow during the snowy season, which is difficult. A great advantage.
However, as shown in FIG. 5, the water meter reading radio communication device using an extremely weak radio wave with low power consumption is required to be installed at the location where the integrating meter MT is installed due to snowmelt, constantly flowing snowmelt, heavy rain, and the like. When the meter box MB is flooded, the water is attenuated by the water when the meter box MB is flooded to a level at which the portion of the antenna 15 is submerged even if the water meter reading wireless communication device 10 is waterproofed. Therefore, there is a problem in that communication with the handy terminal 3 for meter reading cannot be secured, and a technology for stably operating the wireless metering system of a water meter installed in such a situation where meter reading is difficult is being put to practical use. Has not been reached.
For this reason, the wireless meter reading system of the water meter has not been able to practically leave the trial area for a long time even now, and as a result, the realization of the wireless meter reading system of the water meter that can withstand practical use has been widely implemented. Long awaited.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention provides a water meter wireless metering system that measures the value of an integrating meter indicating the amount of water used, using wireless communication.
The antenna part of the water meter meter reading wireless communication device is provided with a buoyant space where the antenna part floats on the water surface when flooded, and the water meter meter reading wireless communication body and the antenna are integrally sealed and covered with a waterproof cover. If the location of the integrating meter is flooded due to snowmelt, snowmelt that is constantly flowing, heavy rain, etc., the wireless communication device for water meter reading floats and the antenna part comes out above the water surface, The wireless meter reading system can be operated stably by ensuring communication.
[0007]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
【Example】
FIGS. 1 and 2 are perspective views of an outer case of a wireless communication device main body for explaining a configuration of a water meter reading wireless communication device having a waterproof cover according to the present invention.
The embodiment in FIG. 1 shows an example in which the main body of the wireless meter for water meter reading is square, and the embodiment in FIG. 2 shows an example in which the main body of the wireless meter for water meter reading is flat. It is shown.
1 and 2, reference numeral 10 denotes a wireless meter for water meter reading, and reference numeral 20 denotes an antenna of the wireless meter for water meter reading. Reference numeral 30 denotes a signal line connecting the water meter reading wireless communication device 10 and the water meter, and reference numeral 40 denotes a waterproof cover that integrally covers the water meter reading wireless communication device body and the antenna. The waterproof cover 40 integrally covers the main body of the water meter meter reading wireless communication device 10 and the antenna 20 in a hermetically sealed manner, and is provided with a water-penetrating through hole 31 through which the signal line 30 penetrates. It is pulled out while keeping it waterproof.
[0008]
A space 31 is provided in the antenna portion of the waterproof cover 30 above the water meter reading wireless communication device 10 so that the antenna portion has a buoyancy to float on the water surface when it is submerged.
By providing the space 31 inside the waterproof cover 30, the center of gravity G between the main body of the water meter meter reading wireless communication device 10 and the antenna 20 covered with the waterproof cover 30 is located below the waterproof cover 30. Therefore, when this is put in water, the antenna 20 always floats in a state where the antenna 20 comes to the upper part of the main body of the water meter reading wireless communication device 10.
The water meter reading wireless communication device having the waterproof cover of the present invention configured as described above is installed in the meter box MB in the same manner as the conventional water meter reading wireless communication device. The water meter reading wireless communication device 10 is installed in a free state without being fixed anywhere, and is connected to the water meter MT via a signal line 30.
In the meter reading operation by the wireless meter reading system, for example, in a visit meter reading operation, the meter reader approaches the vicinity of the meter MT that performs the meter reading, sets the address (ID) number of the meter on the handy terminal 3, and then mounts the meter on the handy terminal 3. A wireless communication device 10 issues a communication request, calls the water meter reading wireless communication device 10 connected to the meter MT of the specified address (ID) number, and wirelessly transmits the integrated value of the meter to the handy terminal 3. This is done by reading.
[0009]
FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a state where the meter box MB in which the water meter reading wireless communication device 10 having the waterproof cover of the present invention is installed is flooded.
In FIG. 3, the same portions as those in FIGS. 1 and 2 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and description thereof will be omitted.
When the water meter reading wireless communication device 10 of the present invention is installed in the meter box MB, the water meter reading wireless communication device 10 is installed in a free state without being fixed anywhere in the meter box MB. And connected to a water meter MT via a signal line 30.
As shown in FIG. 3, when the meter box MB provided with the water meter reading wireless communication device 10 having the waterproof cover of the present invention is flooded, the meter box MB is provided at the portion of the antenna 15 in the waterproof cover. Due to the buoyancy of the space 21, the water meter reading wireless communication device 10 having the waterproof cover floats on the water surface, and the antenna 15 portion comes out on the water surface.
Accordingly, even when the meter box MB is flooded, communication with the handy terminal 3 for meter reading is ensured, so that stable meter reading can be performed at all times.
[0010]
【The invention's effect】
As is clear from the above description, the wireless communication device for water meter reading having the waterproof cover according to the present invention is a wireless communication device that measures the value of the integrating meter indicating the amount of water used by using wireless communication. In the remote meter reading system, a water-proof cover is provided in which the antenna part of the water meter meter reading wireless communication device has a buoyant space in which the antenna part floats on the water surface when submerged in water, and the water meter meter reading wireless communication body and the antenna are integrated. When the location of the integrating meter is flooded by snowmelt, snowmelt that is constantly flowing, heavy rain, etc., the antenna part of the wireless meter for water meter reading will float above the water surface. Thus, the wireless metering system can be stably operated by ensuring communication.
For this reason, by applying the water meter meter reading wireless communication device having the waterproof cover of the present invention to a water meter which has conventionally been difficult to read, the meter reading operation of the water meter can be easily performed. At the same time, in the snowfall area, it is almost impossible to solve the regional distress, such as the inability to read the meter itself in the winter period and to obtain accurate monthly meter values. As a result, it is possible to obtain a wide range of effects such as being able to provide the public benefits originally intended by the public utility as a new additional information service and contributing to the creation and development of new industries.
