【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、部屋の背景を表す部屋背景画像上に、家具、窓、扉などの部屋の構成要素である部屋オブジェクトを表す部屋オブジェクト画像を少なくとも一つ重ねて構成してなる部屋メタファによってメタファ空間を利用者端末の表示画面（ディスプレイ）に表示する技術に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、この種のメタファ空間に関する画像情報等は利用者端末毎に格納され、メタファ空間は各利用者端末のブラウザにより利用者端末単位で表示されていた。また、表示されるメタファ空間もテキスト表示のＷｅｂ画面に文字や画像を配置するものであった。

例えば、エキストラ、スペース、ポスター等のキャラクタによるメタファ概念で設計された図形ユーザインタフェースを用いて、テレビ、ビデオ、オーディオビジュアルプログラムの選択及び表示を簡単に行えるようにした表示装置及び表示選択方法が知られており（特許文献１参照）、また、センタで蓄積した各種の情報を情報端末へ提供して利用するサービスシステムも公知となっている（特許文献２参照）。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
このようなメタファ空間の表示方法では、利用者端末に表示される部屋メタファを構成する画像を変更しようとする場合、利用者端末に格納した画像情報そのものを変更する必要があり、その変更も利用者の操作を必要としていた。また、表示される画像はメタファのテーマに応じて各利用者共通、かつメタファ空間の提供者独自のものであり、仮想空間を実現する以外の目的には利用されていなかったので、個別企業の宣伝のための文字や画像を配置しており、特定の製品そのものを表示することができなかった。

そこで、本発明では、利用者端末がネットワークを介してメタファ空間情報データベースを有するメタファサーバへアクセスし、端末に表示された自分の部屋メタファの画像へタッチ又はクリックすることによりネットワークサービスへの接続要求を可能とし、部屋オブジェクト画像に関してもサービス領域属性に応じた画像を表示したり、企業コマーシャルを動画により表示したりすることが可能なメタファ表示システム及びメタファ表示サービスの提供方法を実現することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するため、本発明の請求項１では、部屋の背景を表す部屋背景画像上に、家具、窓、扉などの部屋の構成要素である部屋オブジェクトを表す部屋オブジェクト画像を少なくとも一つ重ねて構成してなる部屋メタファによってメタファ空間を利用者端末の表示画面に表示するメタファ表示システムであって、メタファ表示サービスを提供するメタファサーバと、少なくとも一つの利用者端末と、画像格納アドレスにより参照される画像情報を格納する画像格納サーバと、サービスアドレスにより呼び出されるサービス実態を格納するサービス提供サーバと、これらを接続するネットワークとからなり、メタファサーバは、部屋背景画像を表示する固定の部屋背景表示領域と、部屋オブジェクト画像を表示する前記部屋背景表示領域内で移動可能な少なくとも一つの部屋オブジェクト表示領域とからなる部屋メタファ表示領域に含まれる当該部屋背景表示領域又は部屋オブジェクト表示領域に関し、利用者を識別するための利用者識別情報、部屋背景表示領域又は部屋オブジェクト表示領域を識別するための表示領域ＩＤ、部屋オブジェクト表示領域に関係付けられたサービスの属性を表す領域属性、部屋背景表示領域の表示画面内での表示位置又は部屋オブジェクト表示領域の部屋背景表示領域内での表示位置、部屋背景表示領域又は部屋オブジェクト表示領域の大きさを表す領域サイズ、部屋オブジェクト表示領域に関係付けられたサービスの名称、部屋オブジェクト表示領域に関係付けられたサービスを提供する場所を表すサービスアドレス、部屋背景表示領域又は部屋オブジェクト表示領域に表示する部屋背景画像又は部屋オブジェクト画像を識別するための画像ＩＤ、部屋メタファを表示する表示画面の大きさを表すディスプレイサイズなどを１レコードに設定したメタファ空間情報テーブルと、前記部屋背景画像又は部屋オブジェクト画像に関し、部屋背景画像又は部屋オブジェクト画像を識別するための画像ＩＤ、部屋背景画像又は部屋オブジェクト画像の画像名、部屋オブジェクト画像に関係付けられるサービスの属性を表す属性、部屋背景画像又は部屋オブジェクト画像の大きさを表す画像サイズ、部屋背景画像又は部屋オブジェクト画像のメタファ空間内での位置を表すメタファ内位置情報、部屋背景画像又は部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を格納した場所を表す画像格納アドレス、部屋背景画像又は部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報の提供元を表す画像提供元情報などを１レコードに設定した画像情報テーブルとを格納したメタファ空間情報データベースと、利用者端末からのメタファ表示サービス要求を受け付け、メタファ空間情報テーブルから当該利用者端末の部屋背景表示領域及び部屋オブジェクト表示領域に対応する画像ＩＤを入手し、当該画像ＩＤに対応して画像情報テーブルに予め設定された画像格納アドレスにより特定される画像格納サーバへアクセスして部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を入手する手段と、入手した部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を利用者端末へ当該利用者端末が表示可能なデータ形式にフォーマット変換して送信する手段とを備え、利用者端末は、メタファサーバへメタファ表示サービスを要求する手段と、メタファサーバから部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を受信する手段と、受信した部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を部屋メタファ表示領域の部屋背景表示領域及び部屋オブジェクト表示領域に表示する手段と、部屋オブジェクト画像が表示された部屋オブジェクト表示領域に対する利用者のタッチ又はクリックを検出し、当該部屋オブジェクト表示領域に対応してメタファ空間情報テーブルに予め設定されたサービスアドレスにより特定されるサービス提供サーバへアクセスしてサービス提供を要求する手段とを備えたことを特徴とする。

また、請求項３では、請求項１又は２に記載のメタファ表示システムを用いたメタファ表示サービスの提供方法であって、利用者端末は、利用者からのメタファ表示サービス要求の操作を受けて予め当該端末内に保持した利用者識別情報を読み出し、該利用者識別情報を指定してメタファサーバへメタファ表示サービスを要求するステップと、メタファサーバから部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を受信し、それぞれ部屋メタファ表示領域の部屋背景表示領域及び部屋オブジェクト表示領域に表示するステップと、利用者からの部屋オブジェクト画像が表示された部屋オブジェクト表示領域に対するタッチ又はクリックを検出し、当該部屋オブジェクト表示領域に対応してメタファサーバに予め設定されたサービスアドレスにより特定されるサービス提供サーバへアクセスし、当該サービス提供サーバが格納する画像情報を受信するステップと、受信した画像情報の表示位置をメタファ空間情報及び利用者端末のディスプレイサイズを元に計算してその画像を表示し、利用者からの部屋オブジェクト画像の表示位置の移動の操作を受けても当該部屋オブジェクト画像を再表示するステップとを行い、メタファサーバは、利用者端末からのメタファ表示サービス要求を受け付けるステップと、利用者端末から受信した利用者識別情報を利用者情報データベースで検索照合し、個別情報として予め登録されている時はメタファ空間情報テーブルから当該利用者識別情報を含む部屋背景表示領域及び部屋オブジェクト表示領域に対応する画像ＩＤを取得し、取得した画像ＩＤに対応して画像情報テーブルに予め設定された画像格納アドレスにより特定される画像格納サーバへアクセスして画像情報を入手し、利用者識別情報が個別情報として未登録の時はデフォルトメタファ空間情報を格納したデフォルト画像データベースから画像情報を入手するステップと、入手した画像情報を利用者端末が表示可能な表示データ形式にフォーマットするステップと、フォーマット化された画像情報をサービスを要求した利用者端末へ返信するステップとを行うことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面を用いて説明する。

図１は本発明のメタファ表示システムの実施の形態の一例を示すもので、図中、１は利用者端末、２はメタファサーバ、３は画像格納サーバ、４はサービス提供サーバ、５は管理者端末、６は外部メモリ、７はネットワークである。

利用者端末１はメタファ表示サービスを利用する利用者が使用するもので、ＣＰＵ１１と、メモリブロック１２と、ディスプレイ１３と、入出力部１４と、通信部１５とから構成されている。

メタファサーバ２は利用者端末１からのメタファ表示サービスの要求を受け付け（Ｓ２）、該利用者端末１から受信した利用者識別情報を利用者情報データベース２２で検索照合し、個別情報として予め登録されている時はメタファ空間情報データベース２１のメタファ空間情報テーブルから当該利用者識別情報を含む部屋背景表示領域及び部屋オブジェクト表示領域に対応する画像ＩＤを取得し、取得した画像ＩＤに対応してメタファ空間情報データベース２１の画像情報テーブルに予め設定されている画像格納アドレスにより特定される画像格納サーバ３へアクセスして部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を入手し、また、利用者識別情報が個別情報として未登録の時はデフォルト画像データベース２３から部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を入手する（Ｓ３）。

前記画像格納サーバ３はメタファサーバ２からの画像情報の配信要求を受け付け（Ｓ４）、メタファサーバ２へ部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を送信する（Ｓ５）。

メタファサーバ２は、入手した前記部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を利用者端末１が表示可能な表示データ形式にフォーマット変換し（Ｓ６）、利用者端末１が表示可能なフォーマット変換された部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を要求した利用者端末１へ配信し（Ｓ７）、利用者端末１は、メタファサーバ２から配信された表示可能な部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を入手し、表示する（Ｓ８）。

ここで、部屋背景画像及び部屋オブジェクト画像の画像情報を格納した場所を表す画像格納アドレスは管理者端末５から変更が可能であり、利用者端末１では色々な所から画像配信が受けられる。

前記利用者識別情報が個別情報として予め登録されている利用者は、利用者端末１上に表示される部屋オブジェクト画像にタッチ又はクリックするとネットワーク７を介してサービス提供サーバ４へアクセスし、サービス提供を要求する（Ｓ９）。ここで、タッチ又はクリックした画像（の表示領域）は前記サービス提供サーバ４のアドレスと関連付けされているためにサーバへのアクセスが可能となる。

前記サービス提供サーバ４は利用者端末１から要求されたネットワークサービスのサービス提供要求を受け付け（Ｓ１０）、該利用者端末１へサービス提供画像情報や動画の企業コマーシャル情報を送信する（Ｓ１１）。

利用者端末１は、サービス提供サーバ４からネットワークサービスのサービス提供画像情報や動画の企業コマーシャル情報を受信し、受信した画像情報の配置位置をメタファ空間情報及び利用者端末１の表示サイズを元に計算し（Ｓ１２）、該配置位置が計算された画像情報を利用者端末１が表示する（Ｓ１３）。
