TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire, and more particularly, to a pneumatic radial tire having an enhanced elastic modulus of an organic fiber cord (hereinafter, also referred to as a carcass cord) of a carcass layer and excellent driving stability.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As the performance of a pneumatic radial tire, steering stability is an important characteristic, and its improvement is always required. Various methods can be considered to improve the steering stability. For example, one method is to increase the elastic modulus of the carcass cord, and various studies have been made so far, such as applying a high elastic cord or improving the vulcanization process. (For example, see Patent Documents 1 and 2).
[0003]
However, when an aliphatic polyketone fiber (hereinafter, referred to as POK fiber), aramid fiber, or the like, which is a high elastic cord, is used, the heat shrinkage is very low and heat shrinkage stress is hardly generated. There is a problem that the elastic modulus cannot be fully utilized after vulcanization because the looseness of the rubber cannot be absorbed. Further, for example, when polyester fiber is used for the carcass cord, even if the elastic modulus is increased by an adhesive application treatment (dip treatment), the elastic modulus is changed due to heat history during vulcanization, and a predetermined elastic modulus cannot be obtained. was there.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made to solve the above problem, and has as its object to increase the elastic modulus of the organic fiber cord of the carcass layer and improve the steering stability.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, a radial having a carcass layer in which at least one or more organic fiber cords are arranged around a bead core provided in a bead portion, and a belt layer inside a tread portion and outside a carcass layer In a tire, a pneumatic radial tire in which a heat-shrinkable cord having a heat-shrinkage stress of 3 N / cord or more in a temperature range of 100 to 180 ° C. is wound around a carcass layer and a bead core by at least one turn in a tire circumferential direction and arranged. provide.
[0008]
Further, the present invention provides a pneumatic radial tire using an organic fiber cord having a dry heat shrinkage of 3.0% or less for the carcass layer.
[0009]
Further, the present invention provides a pneumatic radial tire in which the organic fiber cord of the carcass layer has a tensile strength of 2.0 GPa or more and an elastic modulus of 70 GPa or more.
[0010]
Here, the heat shrinkage stress is a dry heat shrinkage force measured according to JIS L-1017. After a predetermined initial load is applied to determine the test length, the temperature is raised from room temperature to 250 ° C. by 3 ° C./min. This is the stress that occurs when the temperature rises at a rate. According to JIS L-1017, the dry heat shrinkage was measured by applying an initial load to the cord and measuring the test length, and then heating was performed at 150 ± 3 ° C. for 30 minutes in a no-load state, and further left for 30 minutes or more in a standard state. Thereafter, it is a dry heat shrinkage after heating measured by applying an initial load. The tensile strength is a load per cord cross-sectional area at break measured according to JIS L-1017.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 shows an example of the pneumatic radial tire of the present invention, wherein 1 is a tread portion, 2 is a belt layer, 3 is a belt cover layer, and 4 is a bead portion. A carcass layer 5 in which carcass cords extending along the width direction of the tire are arranged between the left and right bead portions 4 is mounted on the inner side of the tire. It is folded from inside to outside. Two belt layers 2 are provided on the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer 5 of the tread portion 1, and one belt cover layer 3 is provided on an outer peripheral end of the two belt layers 2. In the bead portion 4, a single heat-shrinkable cord 8 wound continuously four times in the tire circumferential direction between the carcass layer 5 and the bead core 6 is arranged in a ring shape.
[0012]
In the present invention, after the tire vulcanization step and the tire vulcanization are completed, the heat shrinkage cord 8 is cooled in a so-called post-cure inflation (hereinafter referred to as PCI) step by applying internal pressure to prevent heat shrinkage. Shrinkage stress is generated by the heat to be received, and it tries to shrink. The generated heat-shrinkage stress causes the heat-shrinkage cord 8 to shrink, so that the carcass cord is tensioned in order to reduce its ring diameter, and vulcanization can be performed with the tension applied. Similarly, in the PCI step, cooling can be performed under tension. Since the tension can be effectively applied to the carcass cord in this manner, it is possible to suppress a decrease in the elastic modulus due to heat in the vulcanization and PCI steps, and it is possible to increase the elastic modulus of the carcass cord.
[0013]
When a low heat shrinkable fiber cord such as POK fiber or aramid fiber is used for the carcass cord, the slack of the carcass cord generated during vulcanization can be absorbed, and vulcanization can be performed under tension. . As described above, the carcass layer of the vulcanized tire can have higher elasticity, so that the steering stability of the tire can be improved.
[0014]
In the present invention, the heat-shrinkable cord 8 is not particularly limited as long as it is between the carcass layer 5 and the bead core 6, and is between the carcass layer 5 and the inner peripheral side of the bead core 6 or the side of the carcass layer 5 and the bead core 6. However, as shown in FIG. 1, it is preferable to arrange between the carcass layer 5 and the inner peripheral side of the bead core 6 because tension can be effectively applied to the carcass cord. As described above, one heat-shrinkable cord 8 may be wound continuously around the tire in the circumferential direction of the tire. May be wound one or more turns in the tire circumferential direction, or at least one heat shrink cord 8 may be used and wound at least one turn in the tire circumferential direction. . Preferably, it is good to wind around 4 to 8 times a plurality of times.
[0015]
The heat-shrinkable cord 8 must generate a sufficient heat-shrinkage stress during vulcanization, and must have a heat-shrinkage stress of 3 N / cord or more in a temperature range of 100 to 180 ° C. Preferably, it is 4 N / code to 7 N / code. When the heat shrinkage stress is less than 3 N / cord, a sufficient tension is not applied to the carcass cord, which is not preferable. The material of the heat-shrinkable cord 8 of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it has a necessary and sufficient heat-shrinkage stress at the vulcanization temperature, but nylon fibers, polyester fibers and the like are preferably used.
[0016]
The carcass cord of the present invention is not particularly limited, and polyester fibers, POK fibers, aramid fibers, and the like can be used, but an organic fiber cord having a dry heat shrinkage of 3.0% or less is preferable. More preferably, it is 2.0% or less. If the dry heat shrinkage exceeds 3.0%, the deformation in the cooling step after vulcanization increases, which is not preferable.
[0017]
Further, the carcass cord of the present invention preferably has a tensile strength of 2.0 GPa or more and an elastic modulus of 70 GPa or more from the viewpoint of improving the steering stability of the tire.
[0018]
【Example】
In the pneumatic radial tire having a tire size of 205 / 65R15 94H and having the tire structure of FIG. 1, the cords constituting the carcass layer and the heat-shrinkable cords arranged between the carcass layer and the bead core are varied as shown in Table 1. Pneumatic radial tires of Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Examples 1 to 6 were manufactured, respectively.
[0019]
For these test tires, the cornering power of the tire, which is a measure of the steering stability of the tire, was evaluated by the following method. Table 1 shows the results.
[0020]
Cornering power: When the test tire is mounted on a rim of 15 × 6JJ at an air pressure of 210 kPa, a drum having a diameter of 1707.6 mm is run at a speed of 10 km / hr under a load of 2942 N and a slip angle of 1 ° rightward. The average of the absolute values of the lateral force and the lateral force when the slip angle was 1 ° to the left was measured. For the one-ply carcass tire, the measured value of the tire of Comparative Example 2 was indicated by an index using the measured value of the tire of Comparative Example 6 as the reference (100) for the two-ply carcass tire. The larger this value is, the larger the cornering power is, and the more excellent the steering stability is.
[0021]
[Table 1]
[0022]
As is clear from this table, the pneumatic radial tires of the present invention (Examples 1 to 7) can increase the elastic modulus of the carcass cord as compared with the tires of Comparative Examples 1 to 6, and thus have a high cornering power. It can be seen that the steering stability has been improved.
[0023]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the pneumatic radial tire of the present invention, a carcass layer in which at least one or more organic fiber cords are arranged around a bead core provided in a bead portion is mounted, and the inside of the tread portion and the carcass layer are formed. At least one round of a heat-shrinkable cord having a heat-shrinkage stress of 3 N / cord or more in a temperature range of 100 to 180 ° C. between the carcass layer and the bead core of the radial tire having a belt layer on the outside is wound around the tire at least once. Because of the arrangement, the elastic modulus of the carcass cord of the carcass layer can be increased, and the steering stability can be improved.
