本発明は上記のような従来の問題点を解決して、発光性および抗菌性の二つの特性を発揮して、視認性の向上と雑菌繁殖の防止を図ることができる携帯用機器を提供することを目的して完成されたものである。

上記の課題を解決するためになされた本発明の携帯用機器は、機器本体の表面に発光物質及び抗菌機能を有する物質を含有する塗装膜を形成したことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、図面を参照しつつ本発明の好ましい形態を示す。
図面は本発明の要部の断面図を示すものであり、図において1は携帯電話機やカメラ等の機器本体、2はその表面に形成された厚みが1〜100μm程度の薄い塗装膜である。前記機器本体1は、加工性の高いABS樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、アクリル樹脂等からなり、樹脂そのもののは無色、白色あるいは透明であるため、着色した前記塗装膜2を表面に形成することで外観品質を高めるよう構成されている。

そして本発明では、機器本体1の表面に形成する塗装膜2を、発光物質3及び抗菌機能を有する物質4を含有したものとする点に特徴的構成を有する。

前記発光物質3としては、蛍光顔料あるいは蓄光顔料がある。
蛍光顔料とは、蛍光性をもった染料を合成樹脂に溶解し、樹脂の硬化後、微粉砕した有機顔料で、鮮明な発色をするものである。また蓄光顔料とは、太陽光または人工照明の光を照射した後、暗所において比較的長い時間りん光を発する無機顔料をいう。
このような発光物質3を塗装膜2中に含有させることで発色作用を奏し、例えば取扱い時において落下させてしまったような場合でも、よく目立つので直ぐに発見することができ、特に暗闇で置き忘れや紛失等した場合は視認性が非常によいため容易に見付け出すことができることとなる。

抗菌機能を有する物質としては、銀又は銅を含有する無機質抗菌剤がある。
この無機質抗菌剤は、より具体的には硝酸銀、ハロゲン化銀、酸化銀の中から選ばれた少なくとも一種類の物質を硝子原料あるいは耐火物原料とともに加熱し、その後、粉砕したものである。なお、無機質抗菌剤は粒状であり、その平均粒径は0.01〜20μm程度のものを用いる。
このような抗菌機能を有する物質4を塗装膜2中に含有させることで抗菌作用を奏し、長期にわたって使用して機器本体1の表面に手垢や汚れが付着したとしても、雑菌の繁殖を的確に防止することができ、極めて衛生的である。

更には、発光物質及び抗菌機能を有する物質の粉末は、塗装膜の表面に突出した状態で保持されているため表面がわずかに凹凸状となり、グリップ力が大幅に高まって滑り落ちる危険性が少ないという利点もある。

アクリル系樹脂塗料100重量部に対し、市販されている蓄光材料(SrAl:Eu2+・Dy3+)を20重量部、銀系無機質抗菌剤を0.5重量部含有させた塗料を作成した。この塗料を、ABS樹脂からなる携帯電話の表面にスプレーガンによって塗装し、塗装膜を形成した。
(効果の確認)
このようにして得られた携帯電話を、D65光源の蛍光灯を使用し、400ルクスで1時間照射後に、暗闇の状態で確認した結果、塗装膜中の蓄光顔料が発光し、視認性が大いに高められることが確認できた。
また、塗装膜の表面に10個/mlの大腸菌液を1ml滴下させ、温度37℃、湿度90%以上の環境下で24時間経過した後の生存菌数を調べることにより、抗菌性を評価した。この結果、10個以上の菌数減少が認められ、本発明の優れた抗菌性が確認できた。
更に、同様に表面に10個/mlの黄色ブドウ球菌を1ml滴下させ、温度37℃、湿度90%以上の環境下で24時間経過後の生存菌数を調べることにより、抗菌性を評価した。この結果、10個以上の菌数減少が認められ、本発明の優れた抗菌性が確認できた。
