Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mounting structure of an over fender provided along a wheel arch portion of a vehicle body, and particularly to a mounting structure of a lower edge portion thereof.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, RV vehicles and the like include a vehicle equipped with a wide tire. In this type of vehicle, an over fender is attached to a wheel arch portion of a vehicle body so that a tire does not protrude from a side surface of the vehicle body. As shown in FIG. 6, the over fender 2 has an arch shape along the wheel arch portion 10 of the vehicle body outer panel 1, and has an upper edge fixed to an outer surface of the vehicle body outer panel 1 and fixed to a central portion of a lower edge. ing.
[0003]
FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA of FIG. 6 showing a mounting structure of the lower edge center portion of a conventional typical over fender. A mounting hole 13 is formed in the vehicle body outer plate 1 and the grommet 7 is formed therein. The upper end of the bracket 8 made of a metal plate and having a substantially L-shaped cross section is screwed and fixed to the grommet 7. Then, a flange 21 provided on the lower edge of the over fender 2 and projecting toward the vehicle interior is overlapped with a lower end portion 80 of the bracket 8 projecting to the vehicle exterior, and both are fastened (riveted) together with the rivets 6. . In FIG. 7, reference numeral 5 denotes a wheel house liner that covers the inner surface of the wheel house, 4 denotes a stud bolt protruding from the inner surface of the wheel house, and 52 denotes a resin nut that fixes the wheel house liner 5 to the stud bolt 4.
[0004]
Further, as another conventional mounting structure of an over fender, a bracket protruding to the outside of the vehicle is riveted to a flange at a lower edge of a wheel arch portion of a vehicle body, and a flange of the over fender is overlapped with an outer end of the bracket. There is one that is riveted together (for example, see Patent Document 1).

[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 05-076972 [0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the former conventional technique, there is a problem that an operation for forming the mounting hole 13 for inserting the grommet 7 on the vehicle body side and an operation for mounting the bracket 8 on the vehicle body side are required, and the number of operation steps is large. Further, when the bracket 8 and the over fender 2 are riveted, the lower end portion 80 of the bracket 8 is easy to swing along the vehicle body outer plate 1 around the fastening portion to the grommet 7, and the riveting bracket 8 is fastened. There has been a problem that the hole positions of the holes and the fastening holes of the over fender 2 are shifted, and the workability of fastening the bracket 8 and the over fender 2 is poor. Similarly, in the latter conventional technology, the problem that the number of working steps is large also occurs, and the bracket must be fastened to the flange of the wheel arch portion, so the amount of projection of the flange to the inside of the vehicle increases, and the tire in the wheel house and Has a disadvantage that it is difficult to secure the clearance. Therefore, the present invention can reduce the number of work steps, does not require any work such as alignment of the fastening holes, has good mounting workability, and further ensures a sufficient clearance between the overfender mounting portion and the tire in the wheel house. An object of the present invention is to provide a mounting structure for an over fender that can be provided.
[0007]

As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3 and FIG. 5, a rectangular boss 37 on which a reinforcing member 3b described later is mounted protrudes from a plate surface inside the wheel house (inside the vehicle) of the substrate portion 36. A pair of locking claws 371 are provided on both side surfaces of 37. The both locking claws 371 are formed so as to be inclined such that the claw ends protrude from the protruding end of the boss 37 toward the substrate portion 36 side.
[0017]
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the lower half of the substrate portion 36 has a shape facing the flange 11 of the wheel arch portion 10 and projecting toward the inside of the vehicle so as to avoid the flange 11. Is provided with a fitting groove 32 having a substantially U-shaped cross section which opens to the side opposite to the direction of extension so as to fit with the flange 11. The upper portion 321 of the fitting groove 32 has a width wider than that of the substrate portion 36, and improves the contact with the upper surface when the flange 11 is fitted. The lower portion 322 of the fitting groove 32 is hollow, and when the flange 11 is fitted into the fitting groove 32, the hollow lower portion 322 is pressed against the lower surface of the flange 11. A thin lip 324 is formed on the edge of the lower portion 322 and projects in an inclined manner toward the fitting groove 32. When the flange 11 is fitted into the fitting groove 32, the lip 324 Is guided to the fitting groove 32 and is hardly removed from the fitting groove 32.
[0018]
Further, at the lower end of the substrate portion 36, a flat fastening portion 33 extending toward the vehicle outside is formed below the fitting groove 32. In the center of the fastening portion 33, an elongated fastening hole 331 is formed along the extension direction. On the lower surface of the fastening portion 33, a small circular protrusion 332 for engaging the reinforcing member 3b is provided to protrude downward.
[0019]
The reinforcing member 3b is a metal plate having the same width as that of the clip body 3a, and is formed by bending a series of metal plates along the lower surface of the fastening portion 33 from the inner surface of the board portion 36 of the clip body 3a. In the upper half of the reinforcing member 3b, a square hole 372 for fitting the boss 37 is formed at a position corresponding to the boss 37 of the clip body 3a. At the lower end of the reinforcing member 3b, a fastening hole 331 corresponding to the fastening hole 331 of the fastening portion 33 of the clip body 3a is formed. A through-hole 333 for fitting the protrusion 332 is formed near the fastening hole 331 at a position corresponding to the protrusion 332 on the lower surface of the fastening portion 33.
[0020]
The reinforcing member 3b is disposed so as to be superimposed on the lower surface of the fastening portion 33 from the plate surface on the vehicle interior side of the substrate portion 36 of the clip body 3a, and the boss 37 of the clip body 3a is fitted into the square hole 372 of the reinforcing member 3b. The locking claws 371 on both sides of the boss 37 are locked on both side edges of the square hole 372, and the protrusion 332 on the lower surface of the fastening portion 33 of the clip body 3a is fitted and fixed in the through hole 333 in the lower half. Is done. The fastening hole 331 at the lower end of the reinforcing member 3b matches the fastening hole 331 of the clip body 3a.
[0021]
As shown in FIG. 1, the clip 3 is fitted from the inside of the wheel house into the through hole 34 of the base wall 311 of the clamp portion 31 with the tip end of the stud bolt 4 projecting from the wheel house liner 5 being fitted into the fitting groove 32. Is fitted to the flange 11 of the wheel arch 10. In this case, since the through hole 34 of the clamp portion 31 is formed to be vertically long, the through hole 34 can be easily formed even if the protruding angle of the stud bolt 4 toward the vehicle interior differs from the protruding angle of the flange 11 toward the vehicle interior. The stud bolt 4 can be fitted into the stud bolt 4.
[0022]
Then, the clamp portion 31 abuts the base wall 311 around the mounting hole 51 of the wheel house liner 5, and presses the wheel house liner 5 against the inner surface of the wheel house. The stud bolt 4 is sandwiched between the locking claws 35, and the claw ends of the both locking claws 35 are locked to the valleys between the thread portions of the screw portion 41 on the outer periphery of the stud bolt 4. At this time, the flange 11 of the wheel arch portion 10 is fitted into the fitting groove 32 to its deepest portion, and the flange 11 is vertically sandwiched between the wide upper portion 321 and the hollow lower portion 322 of the fitting groove 32. To hold.

The rivet 6 is a cylindrical body provided with a flange portion, and a rivet having a ball-shaped caulking shaft inserted into the cylinder is inserted into the fastening hole 331 from the flange 21 side (below) of the over fender 2 and the caulking is performed. By pulling out the shaft, the tip is buried in the cylinder, the diameter of the cylinder increases, and the fastening portion 33 of the clip 3 and the flange 21 of the over fender 2 are fastened.
[0024]
According to the present embodiment, when the clip 3 is mounted on the vehicle body, the clamp portion 31 of the clip 3 is engaged with the stud bolt 4 for mounting the wheel house liner 5 projecting from the inner surface of the wheel house. Therefore, unlike the conventional structure, it is not necessary to form a hole in the vehicle body outer plate or provide a member such as a bracket, so that the number of working steps can be reduced. Further, since the wheel house liner 5 is also integrally fastened to the stud bolt 4 by the clamp portion 31 of the clip 3, a nut member or the like for fastening the wheel house liner 5 to the stud bolt 4 unlike the conventional structure is not required. .
[0025]
Further, the clip 3 has a structure in which the clamp portion 31 is engaged with the stud bolt 4 and the fitting groove 32 and the flange 11 of the wheel arch portion 10 are fitted, so that the clip 3 can be easily attached to the vehicle body with one touch. In addition, when the clip 3 is attached to the vehicle body, the fastening portion 33 at the lower end does not swing as in a bracket or the like having a conventional structure, and accurate positioning of the fastening portion 33 can be easily performed. Therefore, the hole positions of the fastening hole 22 of the flange 21 and the fastening hole 331 of the fastening portion 33 do not shift, and it is not necessary to adjust these positions. In this embodiment, the fastening portion 33 of the clip 3 and the flange 21 of the over fender 2 are riveted. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the two may be welded, bonded by an adhesive, or screwed.
[0026]
In addition, according to the mounting structure of the present invention, unlike the conventional mounting structure of an over fender, a bracket or the like is not directly fastened to the flange 11 of the wheel arch portion 10; , The amount of protrusion of the flange 11 toward the wheel house can be reduced, and the amount of protrusion of the clip 3 fitted with the flange 11 toward the wheel house can be reduced. The clearance between the wheel and the tire in the wheel house can be sufficiently secured.
[0027]
In the above embodiment, the clip 3 in which the reinforcing member 3b is attached to the clip main body 3a is used, but the over fender 2 can be fixed with only the clip main body 3a. However, the attachment strength of the over fender can be enhanced by providing the reinforcing member 3b.
[0028]
【The invention's effect】
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to the mounting structure of the over fender of the present invention, the number of work steps for mounting the over fender to the wheel arch portion of the vehicle body can be reduced, and the work for mounting such as positioning of the fastening holes of each member is not required. Can be improved. Further, a sufficient clearance between the overfender mounting portion and the tire in the wheel house can be secured.
