近年における携帯電話のめざましい普及に伴い、更なる情報端末への進化の為高機能と高品質が求められている。また、携帯電話のドームスイッチ部にはクリック感触、照光、耐久性、耐環境性等の特性が求められている。その中で、ドームスイッチを搭載する導体回路を有する両面フレキシブルプリント配線板は、そのドームスイッチのクリック感、精度、フレキシブルプリント配線板の適度な硬さ、スイッチ部の平滑さが求められている。
従来、ドームスイッチを搭載する導体回路が設計された両面フレキシブルプリント配線板にあっては、ドームスイッチ搭載領域の反対面にも部品搭載領域よりも狭い導体回路が複数本設けられており、その導体回路の凹凸がドームスイッチ搭載面の導体回路に凹凸を発生させ、それがドームスイッチのクリック感を悪くする。またドームスイッチ搭載領域の反対面にある導体回路がない場合には、フレキシブルプリント配線板の剛性が十分でなく軽快なクリック感が得られずスイッチが完全に作動しているかどうか確認が取れないなどの問題があった。

本発明の両面フレキシブルプリント配線板は、ドームスイッチの搭載領域の反対面にドームスイッチ搭載領域と同じ導体巾又はそれ以上の導体巾を設けることを特徴とする両面フレキシブルプリント配線板である。ドームスイッチ搭載領域の反対面に導体回路がないと、両面フレキシブルプリント配線板の適度な剛性や平滑さが損なわれ、クリック感が失われる。
