Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a laser device that focuses a laser beam of a semiconductor laser at a high density and applies it to laser processing or the like.
[0002]
2. Description of the Related Art Semiconductor lasers have a high efficiency of converting electric energy into light energy and are small in size. However, since the output from each semiconductor laser element is small, a plurality of semiconductor laser elements are arranged in a one-dimensional array or used as a stacked semiconductor laser unit in which many one-dimensional arrays are stacked.
[0003]
As a one-dimensional array semiconductor laser, a laser that obtains an output of several tens of watts using about 40 semiconductor laser elements has been put to practical use. In addition, a stack-type semiconductor laser unit that obtains an output of a kilowatt level has been put to practical use. When a one-dimensional array semiconductor laser or a stacked semiconductor laser unit is used for laser processing or end face excitation of a solid-state laser such as a YAG laser, it is important to focus a laser beam on a fine spot.
[0004]
In order to focus a one-dimensional array semiconductor laser or a stacked semiconductor laser unit, the laser beam from each semiconductor laser is controlled using a collimating optical system, the divergence angle is controlled, and then the laser beam is focused using a focusing optical system. I do.
[0005]
However, one-dimensional array semiconductor lasers and stacked semiconductor laser units generally have poor light-gathering properties in the slow direction due to the difference in beam quality between the slow and fast directions of the semiconductor laser element.
[0006]
For example, a stacked semiconductor laser unit in which 20 one-dimensional array semiconductor lasers each having semiconductor laser elements having a width in the slow direction of 100 μm and a width of 1 μm in the fast direction arranged at intervals of 250 μm in the slow direction are stacked at intervals of 1.8 mm at NA0. When condensed by the 25 condensing optical systems, the beam width becomes about 4 mm in the slow direction and about 1 mm in the fast direction.
[0007]
The difference between the widths of the converging spots in the slow direction and the fast direction degrades the processing quality in the processing application, and makes it difficult to perform uniform excitation by the end face excitation of a solid-state laser.
[0008]
In order to solve the above, as a conventional technique, the beam width in the slow direction is improved by using a condensing laser device shown in FIG. 5 (for example, see Patent Document 1). Here, FIG. 5A is a plan view, and FIG. 5B is a side view.

The
[0018]
As described above, in the conventional technique, a parallel light group obtained by collimating a laser beam from a semiconductor laser unit by a collimating optical system is divided into two, a first light group and a second light group, and these are divided into two steps in the first direction. , The size of the light source in the slow direction can be reduced to half, and the light-collecting property in the slow direction can be improved.

[0020]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above-mentioned conventional laser device, the light collecting property in the slow direction can be improved, but the laser beam is doubled in the first direction, so that the beam width in the first direction is doubled, and the light collecting property in the first direction deteriorates. There was a problem to do.
[0021]
According to the present invention, when the stacked semiconductor laser unit in which the one-dimensional array semiconductor lasers are stacked in multiple stages is condensed by the condensing optical system, the condensing property in the first direction is not deteriorated, and the condensing property in the slow direction is good. It is an object to provide a laser device.
[0022]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, a laser device according to the present invention includes a semiconductor laser unit in which an array semiconductor laser in which a plurality of semiconductor laser elements are arranged is stacked in a number of stages in a direction perpendicular to the arrangement, and the plurality of semiconductor laser elements A divergence angle control means for controlling a divergence angle of each laser light from, a right angle direction moving means for translating a predetermined number of the respective laser lights transmitted through the divergence angle control means in the right angle direction, and the predetermined number of An alignment direction moving means for parallelly moving at least one of the laser light and the remaining laser light in a direction in which the plurality of semiconductor laser elements are arranged, wherein the moving laser light is not moved between the perpendicular directions of the laser light. It is arranged by the arrangement direction moving means.
[0023]
With this configuration, it is possible to improve the light condensing property in the slow direction without substantially deteriorating the light condensing property in the first direction, and to obtain a laser device that is highly practical for processing and the like.

【The invention's effect】
As is apparent from the above description, according to the laser device of the present invention, a semiconductor laser unit in which an array semiconductor laser in which a plurality of semiconductor laser elements are arranged is stacked in a number of stages in a direction perpendicular to the arrangement, Divergence angle control means for controlling a divergence angle of each laser light from the semiconductor laser element, and a right angle direction moving means for translating a predetermined number of laser light transmitted through the divergence angle control means in the right angle direction, A direction moving means for moving at least one of a predetermined number of laser lights and the remaining laser light in parallel in a direction in which the plurality of semiconductor laser elements are arranged, and moving the moving laser light in the right-angle direction of the laser light which is not moved. Since the arrangement is performed by the arrangement direction moving means, the light collection in the slow direction can be improved without substantially deteriorating the light collection in the first direction. Machining high laser device practical is obtained like.
