Description

【0001】

[Field of the Invention]
The present invention relates to a camera tripod having a simple structure, and more particularly to a camera tripod capable of supporting a camera in both vertical and horizontal directions in relation to a center of gravity of the camera and a screw hole for mounting the tripod.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A camera tripod of this type has two front legs and one rear leg that can be opened in three directions, and a head for mounting the camera, and the front legs are pivotally bracketed so as to open and close left and right. The pan head has a three-pronged mounting part which is combined with a two-pronged mounting part of a bracket and a two-pronged mounting part of a rear leg, and is rotatably connected to each other by a pivot and tightening screw. By being attached to the leg. The head, which is positioned substantially horizontally with the front legs and the rear legs that are opened forward and backward, is tightened together by a tightening lever that is screwed to a tightening screw on the combined mounting portion of the placket, the rear legs, and the head. By doing so, it is fixed in place. The head also includes a locking screw with a knob adapted to screw into a screw hole of the camera to secure the camera to the head.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Regardless of whether the camera is horizontally long in the normal state or vertically long like some instant cameras, the lens of the camera is located almost in the center of the front, so the screw hole for attaching the tripod is almost directly under the lens, in other words, It is located near the center of gravity of the camera. In the case of such a camera, since the center of gravity of the camera is located substantially at the center of the tripod when the camera is fixed to the camera platform with the fixing screw with the knob, the camera is stably supported without falling over with the tripod having the above structure. be able to. However, the tripod having the above structure cannot support the camera in a horizontal position.
[0004]
The applicant of the present invention has proposed a camera tripod designed to support such a camera even in a horizontal position as Japanese Patent Application No. 2002-105687. The tripod includes a bracket that rotatably supports the front leg so that it can be opened and closed to the left and right, and a support arm that is rotatably connected at one end together with a rear leg and a pan head at the other end. The head includes a support head that pivots in one direction about its pivot and in one position, folds over the support arm and holds the head mounting screw upwardly adjacent the center of the tripod. When it is positioned and pivoted in the other direction about the pivot and in the other position, it extends upward with respect to the support arm, and the pan head fixing screw is laterally offset from the center of the tripod to the side. It is made to let.
[0005]
In some digital cameras and instant cameras, the lens is deviated from the center of the front of the camera by design, and the screw hole for attaching the tripod is deviated in one direction or the other from the center of gravity of the camera due to the displacement of the center of gravity due to this. Cameras that are being installed are emerging. In the configuration of the camera tripod according to the above-mentioned Japanese Patent Application No. 2002-105687, the center of gravity of the camera is considerably deviated from the center of the tripod, even if such a camera is mounted on a tripod, whether vertically or horizontally. However, no matter how much the front and rear legs were stretched, there was a problem that the legs could not support the camera and would fall.
[0006]
It is an object of the present invention that the screw hole for attaching the tripod is located almost directly below the lens located substantially at the center of the front of the camera, in other words, the center of the front of the camera as well as the camera located near the center of gravity of the camera. Due to the relationship of the lens deviated from the position, in other words, the displacement of the center of gravity, even the camera provided in one direction or the other direction from the position, the camera is set such that the center of gravity is located substantially at the center of the tripod. An object of the present invention is to provide a camera tripod that can be mounted on a tripod and that can stably support the camera without falling down.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The above object of the present invention is to pivotally fasten together with two front legs and one rear leg that can be opened in three directions, and a bracket and a rear leg that rotatably support the front legs so that the front legs can be opened and closed right and left. A support arm, one end of which is rotatably connected by a screw and tightened by a tightening knob, and a mounting arm, which is rotatably connected to the other end of the support arm by a pivot and tightening screw, and tightened by a tightening knob, A head mounted pivotally so as to be rotatable parallel to the plane, the head being elongated in its longitudinal direction, and a locking screw with a knob being repositioned along the elongated hole; This is achieved by providing a camera tripod, including:
[0008]
In a preferred embodiment, the head has a click-stop mechanism which can click-stop the head at a predetermined angle with respect to the mounting arm about the pivot, and the click-stop mechanism includes a click-stop disk fixed to the head. And a W-shaped leaf spring provided on the outer peripheral surface of the click-stopping disk, the click-stop groove being formed at regular intervals of, for example, 45 degrees, and being engaged with one of the click-stop grooves. And a click stop in the form.
[0009]
[Action]
During use, loosen the tightening by the tightening lever, open the front leg and rear leg back and forth, open the front leg left and right, and then adjust the support arm according to the position of the camera lens and the position of the tripod mounting screw hole. With the mounting arm superimposed on it, rotate it around the pivot until it is almost horizontal toward the rear leg, and place the camera head on the mounting arm in an aligned state. Rotate 45 degrees to the right or left to protrude to the right or left as seen in, rotate the support arm around the pivot toward the front leg, and move the mounting arm upward with respect to the support arm around the pivot Or the pan head is rotated 180 degrees with respect to the mounting arm so as to extend from the mounting arm. Obviously, as the support arm and the mounting arm rotate, the tightening by the tightening knob is loosened and then tightened by the tightening knob to secure them in place.
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring to the drawings, a camera tripod according to the present invention is basically made of a hard plastic material except for a screw portion, and has two front legs 1, 1 and 1 behind which can be opened in three directions. It includes a leg 2, a support arm 4, and a mounting arm A for the camera platform 3. The front legs 1, 1 are rotatably connected to a bracket 6 by a pivot 5 so that they can be opened and closed right and left. The support arm 4 has trifurcated portions 7 and 8 at both ends thereof. The trifurcated portion 7 at one end of the support arm 4, that is, the proximal end, the bifurcated portion 9 of the bracket 6, and the rear leg 2. The bifurcated mounting portions 10 are combined with each other and are rotatably connected to each other by a pivot / clamping screw 11. The tightening screw 11 is provided with a tightening knob 12 which is screwed thereto and fixes the front leg and the rear leg and the support arm, which are opened forward and backward, and the supporting arm in place by tightening their combined or mounting portions together. I have. The mounting arm A of the camera platform 3 has a bifurcated mounting portion B at the distal end thereof combined with the other end of the supporting arm 4, that is, a trifurcated mounting portion 8 at the distal end. Is rotatably connected to the three-pronged mounting portion 8. The tightening screw 15 is provided with a tightening knob 16 which is screwed into the tightening screw, and which fixes the mounting arm A and the support arm 4 in place by tightening the mounting portion where the mounting arm and the support arm are combined and the mounting portion. Have been. The head 3 is pivotally mounted on the proximal end of the mounting arm A about a pivot C, and is screwed into a tripod mounting screw hole of the camera to fix the camera to the head 3. And a fixing screw 13 with a knob. The fixing screw 13 with a knob can be moved along an elongated hole D formed along the length of the camera platform 3. The pan head 3 is preferably provided with a click stop mechanism E which can be clicked at a predetermined angle with respect to the mounting arm A about the pivot axis C. For this reason, the click stop mechanism E includes a click stop disk F fixed to the camera platform 3, a click stop groove G formed on the outer peripheral surface of the click stop disk F at equal intervals of, for example, 45 degrees, A click stop I in the form of a W-shaped leaf spring which is adapted to engage with one of the stop grooves and is provided in contact with the shoulder H of the mounting arm A.
[0011]
When the tripod according to the present invention is to be set up, the tightening by the tightening knob 12 is loosened, the front leg 1 and the rear leg 2 are opened back and forth around the pivot, and the front legs 1 and 1 are pivoted around the pivot 5 of the bracket 6. Open left and right. At the same time, the support arm 4 is pivoted about the pivot to a position horizontal to the open tripod, positioned above the rear leg 2, and tightened by the tightening knob 12 to move the leg and the support arm to their positions. Fix with. When the camera is mounted on a tripod having a lens in the center of the front and a screw hole for mounting a tripod in the center of the bottom, the mounting arm A is folded into the support arm 4 as shown in FIG. The arms are fixed to the teeth by tightening the tightening knob 16 in the overlapped state. With the pan head 3 aligned with the mounting arm A, the knob fixing screw 13 is moved along the elongated hole D toward the proximal end of the pan head, and at that position the knob fixing screw 13 is screwed into the camera. Screw it into the hole to secure the camera to the head. Then, since the center of gravity of the camera is located near the center of the upright tripod, the camera can be stably supported by the tripod.
[0012]
FIG. 4 shows how the camera is mounted on a tripod having a lens offset from the center of the front and a screw hole for attaching a tripod offset from the center of the bottom. The camera platform 3 is rotated about the pivot C from the position shown in FIG. Then, the pan head is protruded to the right when viewed from the front in FIG. 4, and the position of the fixing screw 13 with the knob is adjusted as appropriate by aligning the lens of the camera with substantially the center of the tripod. Screw it into the screw hole and fix the camera to the camera platform. As a result of the center of gravity of the camera being located substantially at the center of the tripod, the tripod can stably support the camera without falling. Examples of such cameras are mainly compact digital cameras.
[0013]
FIG. 5 shows how the camera is mounted on a tripod in which the camera is mainly vertically long and has a screw hole for attaching a tripod which is deviated from the center of the bottom in a direction opposite to that of FIG. The head 3 is rotated counterclockwise by 45 degrees with respect to the mounting arm A about the pivot C from the position shown in FIG. 1 against the action of the click mechanism. Then, the pan head is protruded to the left when viewed from the front in FIG. 5, and the position of the fixing screw 13 with the knob is adjusted as appropriate by aligning the lens of the camera with substantially the center of the tripod. Screw it into the screw hole and fix the camera to the camera platform. As a result of the center of gravity of the camera being located substantially at the center of the tripod, the tripod can stably support the camera without falling. An example of such a camera is an instant camera from which photos are retrieved from above.
[0014]
FIG. 6 shows an instant in which the camera is mainly vertically elongated, has a lens in the center of the front, and has a screw hole for attaching a tripod in the center of the bottom, so that the photograph can be taken out from above as in FIG. This shows the case of a camera. The manner in which the camera is mounted on the camera platform is the same as in the case of FIG. 1 described above.
[0015]
FIGS. 7 and 8 show the instant camera shown in FIGS. 6 and 5 mounted on a tripod in a landscape orientation. In FIG. 7, first, the tightening by the tightening knob 12 is loosened, and the support arm 4 is rotated 180 degrees around the pivot to the position opposite to the position in FIG. And tighten the tightening knob 12 again to lock the support arm 4 in that position. Next, the tightening by the tightening knob 16 is loosened, the mounting arm A is raised vertically with respect to the upright tripod, and the tightening knob 16 is tightened again to fix the mounting arm A in that position. Head 3 remains aligned with mounting arm A. The position of the fixing screw 13 with knob is adjusted as appropriate along the elongated hole D, and the fixing screw 13 with knob is screwed into the screw hole of the camera (the camera shown in FIG. 6) to fix the camera to the camera platform. In this case, as is apparent from the figure, the camera is supported by the tripod while turning 90 degrees with the front and rear legs of the opened tripod. The camera is fixed horizontally to the camera platform, but since the center of gravity of the camera is located near the center of the tripod, the camera can be stably supported by the tripod.
[0016]
In the case of the camera shown in FIG. 8, the camera is mounted on the tripod sideways by rotating the camera platform 3 by 180 degrees with respect to the mounting arm A from the use state of the tripod shown in FIG. This is made possible by placing it on top.
[0017]
