Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a television camera device, and more particularly, to a television camera device that switches between a color image and a near-infrared black-and-white image of a camera installed outdoors and picks up an image.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The sensitivity characteristics of an imaging device such as a CCD used for a color television camera are usually in a wavelength range of about 400 nm to 900 nm. A cut filter is arranged in front of the light receiving surface of the image sensor to remove a wavelength component of about 700 nm or more in the near infrared region.
[0003]
Therefore, for example, a good color image can be obtained when there is a large amount of wavelength components in the visible light region of 400 nm to 700 nm which are bright in the daytime. Also, when such a color television camera is used as a surveillance camera, monitoring is difficult. An easy-to-use color image is obtained. However, on a rainy day or in the evening when the light is dim, or at night, the visible light component is reduced, making it difficult to see a color image, and also makes it difficult to monitor an intruder for monitoring. I do.
[0004]
In some cases, the sensitivity may be improved by automatic gain control (hereinafter abbreviated as AGC) or the sensitivity may be improved by image storage using a frame memory. However, when the sensitivity is improved by AGC, there is a disadvantage that the S / N ratio is reduced. Further, in order to improve the sensitivity by the image accumulation operation, it is necessary to lengthen the image accumulation period. However, when the image accumulation period is lengthened, there is a disadvantage that blurring occurs when a fast-moving subject is imaged. Therefore, in order to maintain the image quality, it is impossible to increase the AGC gain or to prolong the image accumulation period.
[0005]
One way to improve these is to attach an infrared cut filter to the entire surface of the image sensor to emphasize color reproducibility when using an image sensor that has sensitivity to near-infrared light. There is a television camera device that takes an image of a subject and automatically or manually removes an infrared cut filter when dark, and obtains a black-and-white image using a wavelength component in the near-infrared region (for example, see
[0006]
Thus, when the infrared cut filter is automatically or manually switched as described above, the switching timing becomes a problem. In particular, when near-infrared illumination is irradiated with the infrared cut filter removed, the luminance level may be higher than when a color image is captured with the infrared cut filter inserted. Therefore, in the case of the method of switching the filter by detecting the luminance level, an infrared cut filter may be attached and the image may be returned to the color image. However, when the image returns to the color image, the image is switched to the black and white image again because the luminance level is low. Can be This operation is repeated. That is, so-called hunting occurs in which color images and black-and-white images are alternately switched. In order to prevent this hunting, in the conventional method of detecting a change in luminance level, once switching to black-and-white video is performed, a method of making it difficult to switch from black-and-white video to color video by giving a large amount of hysteresis so that switching to color video is not performed for a while. An infrared cut filter is attached to a part of the light receiving surface of the image sensor to determine the brightness of the image sensor, and a microcomputer calculates a black and white signal obtained through the infrared cut filter and a black and white signal obtained from a part other than the infrared cut filter, There is a method of controlling so that hunting does not occur (for example, see Patent Document 3).
[0007]
In addition, as a monitoring camera (for example, see Patent Document 4), a first photographing mode for photographing with sunlight or indoor lighting and a second photographing mode for irradiating a subject with infrared light to perform photographing are provided. A technique for switching between the first and second imaging modes using the set timer is described.
[0008]
In addition, the television camera device (Japanese Patent Application No. 2002-280725, filed on Sep. 26, 2002) filed by the present inventor has a sunrise or sunrise in order to prevent hunting due to insertion and removal of an infrared cut filter. A technique of switching with a timer including information on whether or not sunset has been proposed.

[0010]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The above-mentioned sunrise and sunset times vary throughout the year, and also vary with longitude and latitude. Furthermore, since it differs depending on whether it is a flat ground or a highland, it is necessary to individually set these depending on the place where the television camera device is installed. However, this is extremely complicated and maintenance and inspection are not easy. Further, in order to prevent hunting due to the insertion and removal of the infrared cut filter described in Patent Document 3, an infrared cut filter having a special structure is required, and its control circuit is also complicated. In addition, when the hysteresis is increased, the state of a color image may be maintained even when the image becomes dark, or the state of a black and white image may be maintained even when the image becomes bright.
[0011]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a television camera device which eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks and prevents a monochrome image and a color image from being output alternately.
[0012]
It is another object of the present invention to provide a television camera device that can automatically detect sunrise and sunset times throughout the year and in accordance with a place and switch between a black-and-white image and a color image.

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, since it is not a method of detecting a change in luminance, in monitoring at low illuminance such as outdoors at night, hunting in which color images and black and white images alternate alternately does not occur even when infrared illumination is applied, and monitoring is performed. This has an extremely excellent effect of reducing the burden on an intruder and making it easier to identify an intruder or the like.
