【従来の技術】
従来、超音波を送受波することによって車両周囲の障害物を検知する超音波センサを備えた障害物検知システムが提供されている。この種の障害物検知システムに用いられる超音波センサとしては、パルス状の超音波(以下、超音波パルスという。)を間欠的に送波し、超音波パルスの送波から障害物での反射波を受波するまでの時間差によって所定の距離範囲内の障害物の有無を検知したり障害物までの距離および障害物の存在する方向を測定したりするものがある。この種の障害物検知システムでは、障害物に関する情報を車両の運転者に通報する報知手段(例えば、ディスプレイや発光ダイオードのような表示装置、ブザーのような音響出力装置など)と、超音波センサの出力に基づいて前記報知手段を制御する制御装置とを備えており、制御装置と超音波センサとの間はハーネスにより電気的に接続されている。

ところで、上述のような障害物検知システムに用いられる超音波センサは、車両のバンパーの表裏に貫通するように穿孔した取付孔に器体を挿入して取り付けられるのが一般的である(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。

この特許文献1に開示された超音波センサaは、図12に示すように、センサエレメントである超音波振動子(図示せず)を収納した器体100の前端縁にわたってフランジ部100aが突設されると共に、器体100の外周面においてフランジ部100aから所定距離だけ離間した部位に全周にわたって係止溝(図示せず)が形成されており、器体100をバンパーの表面x1側から取付孔に挿入しフランジ部100aを取付孔の開口部周縁に当接させた後、一端が二股状に形成された板ばねからなる固定具200をバンパーの裏面x2に沿ってスライドさせて前記係止溝に係合させて、フランジ部100aと固定具200とでバンパーXを表裏から挟持することでバンパーXに固定される。

また、バンパーXへの別の取付構造を有する超音波センサとしては、図13に示すものがある。この超音波センサbは、前端縁にフランジ部201aが突設されたベゼル部材201と、超音波振動子を収納しベゼル部材201に嵌装されるハウジングブロック101とから器体が構成される。この超音波センサbをバンパーXに取り付けるには、ベゼル部材201をバンパーの表面x1側から取付穴へ挿入し、フランジ部201aを前記取付孔の開口部周縁に当接させて図示しない係止爪とでバンパーXを表裏から挟持することでベゼル部材201をバンパーに嵌装し、その後ハウジングブロック101をバンパーXの裏面x2側からベゼル部材201へ挿入し、ハウジングブロック101の上面および下面に設けられた係止凸部101a,101aをベゼル部材201に設けられた係止孔201b,201bに凹凸嵌合させて、ハウジングブロック101をベゼル部材201に固定させる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、従来の超音波センサでは、超音波センサの器体から導出されたハーネスh1や、バンパーX内に這わされたその他の電装部品のハーネスは、クランプ部材などの別部材で束ねられて、バンパーXの裏面側に設けられた固定用孔または固定用リブ(共に図示せず)に固定されていた。

しかしながら、前記固定用孔または固定用リブは、バンパーXの意匠性向上の観点から、バンパーXに設ける場所が制限されており、そのため、ハーネスがたるんだり、ハーネスを蛇行させる必要が生じてハーネスが長くなる等の問題があった。

本発明は上記問題点に鑑みて為されたものであって、その目的とするところは、バンパー内に這わされたハーネスを固定することができる超音波センサを提供することにある。

上記目的を達成するために、請求項1記載の超音波センサは、超音波振動子を収納し、バンパーの表裏に貫通するように穿孔された取付孔から前記超音波振動子を外部に臨ませてバンパーの裏面側に突出して固定される器体と、バンパーの裏面側に突出した前記器体の部位に設けられバンパー内に這わされたハーネスを固定するハーネス固定手段とを備えたものとした。

以下、本発明を実施形態1から実施形態5によって説明する。

(実施形態1)
本実施形態の超音波センサAを図1に示す。この超音波センサAは、2個の超音波振動子(図示せず)を内蔵し、第1の超音波振動子から超音波パルスを間欠的に送波した後、障害物での反射波を第1の超音波振動子および第2の超音波振動子で受波し、第1の超音波振動子での超音波パルスの送波から受波までの時間差により障害物までの距離を測定すると共に、両超音波振動子において反射波を受波するまでの時間差から障害物の存在する方向を検知するもので、合成樹脂成形品であって略直方体形状の器体後部1aと、器体後部1aの前面(図1において左側の面。)から一体に延設された断面略角丸四角形の筒状の器体前部1bとから器体1が形成されている。

器体後部1aの内部には、超音波を送波するための信号を発生して前記第1の超音波振動子に供給したり、前記第1および第2の超音波振動子で受波した超音波を信号として受け取ったり、障害物までの距離や方向を求めたりする回路の構成部品が回路基板に実装された電子回路部(図示せず)が収納されている。

ところで、超音波センサAが取り付けられたバンパーの内側には、超音波センサAのコネクタ部に接続されたハーネスh1や、車両に用いられるその他の電装部品(例えば、ランプなど。)のハーネスh2が這わされている。

本実施形態の超音波センサAは、それらのハーネスh1,h2をハーネス固定部2に固定することができる。すなわち、ハーネスh1,h2をハーネス固定部2の片持ち片2aと略直交する方向へ向けて、片持ち片2aの先端側から支持側へと押し込むと、係止爪2bの傾斜面がハーネスh1,h2に押圧されて片持ち片2aが弾性変形して外側に開き、ハーネスh1,h2が係止爪2bを通り抜けると係止爪2bの押圧が解除されて片持ち片2aの形状が元に戻り、それ以降はハーネスh1,h2が係止爪2bに係合することで抜けが防止される。
