Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a device for reading a fingerprint image of a finger placed on a fingerprint sensor.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a conventional fingerprint image reading apparatus, a mark for detecting an optical axis shift or a focus shift of an optical system is added to a transparent finger placing section of a fingerprint input section, and the detection mark is arranged outside the area occupied by the fingerprint. (For example, see Patent Document 1).
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
JP 2000-20719 A (abstract, FIG. 1)
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the conventional fingerprint collation device as described above, since a mark for detecting a positional shift is added to the finger placing portion of the fingerprint input unit, it is useful for detecting the positional displacement of the finger. It is not possible to detect whether the button is pressed. In addition, the determination that a finger has been placed is made based on the ratio between the area of the fingerprint input unit (fingerprint sensor) and the area of the finger in close contact with the fingerprint input unit. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain stable fingerprint data because the obtained fingerprint images are different, and even if the same finger fingerprint of the same person is read, the fingerprint may be determined to be another person's fingerprint as a result of collation. There is.
[0005]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and has as its object to provide a fingerprint image reading apparatus for guiding a user to obtain stable fingerprint data.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the fingerprint image reading device according to the present invention, the annunciator is operated after the finger is placed on the fingerprint sensor until the pressing force detected by the pressure sensor exceeds a set value.
[0007]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Embodiment 1 FIG.
1 to 4 show one embodiment of the first and second inventions of the present invention. FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram of a finger rest portion, FIG. 2 is a block diagram, and FIG. FIG. 4 is an operation flowchart, and the same reference numerals in the drawings denote the same parts.
[0008]
1 and 2, the finger rest 1 is provided with a fingerprint sensor 3 for reading a fingerprint of the placed finger 2, and a pressure sensor 4 for detecting a pressing force of the finger 2 is provided in a part thereof. . The fingerprint sensor 3 is coupled to the processing unit 5. The fingerprint sensor 3 is provided with a vibration device 6 as an alarm, and the fingerprint sensor 3, the pressure sensor 4 and the vibration device 6 are connected to the processing unit 5.
[0009]
In the fingerprint collation device configured as described above, the fingerprint read by the fingerprint sensor 3 is subjected to image processing, and the fingerprint is collated with the registered fingerprint to determine the degree of coincidence between the two. The pressure sensor 4 measures the pressure of the finger 2 placed on the fingerprint sensor 3 and transmits the result to the processing unit 5. The vibration device 6 operates according to a signal from the processing unit 5 to vibrate the fingerprint sensor 3 and the processing unit 5.
[0010]
Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
First, FIG. 3 shows the relationship between the pressing force generated by placing a finger and a fingerprint image. As is clear from the figure, the fingerprint image 3a when the pressing force on the fingerprint sensor 3 is weak is small, and the fingerprint image 3b when the pressing force is strong is large.
[0011]
Next, the operation when placing a finger will be described with reference to FIG.
When the user starts placing the finger 2 on the fingerprint sensor 3 in step S1, a fingerprint image from the fingerprint sensor 3 and a pressure signal from the pressure sensor 4 are transmitted to the processing unit 5 from that moment. In step S2, the processing unit 5 outputs a vibration start signal to the vibration device 6 based on these signals, and the vibration device 6 causes the fingerprint sensor 3 to vibrate. In step S3, the user gradually increases the pressing force.
[0012]
In step S4, the processing unit 5 determines whether the pressure detected by the pressure sensor 4 has become equal to or more than the set value, and repeats steps S3 and S4 until the pressure becomes equal to or more than the set value. If it is determined that the pressure has become equal to or greater than the set value, the process proceeds to step S5, where the processing unit 5 outputs a vibration stop signal, and the vibration device 6 stops the vibration of the fingerprint sensor 3. The user who has sensed the stop of the vibration in step S6 stops increasing the pressing force any further. In step S7, the processing unit 5 reads the fingerprint image from the fingerprint sensor 3, and the user releases his / her finger from the fingerprint sensor 3 in step S8.
[0013]
Here, steps S2, S4, and S5 constitute a finger placement guide unit.
In this way, the finger placement is instructed by vibration until the pressing force by the finger placement exceeds the set value, so that most people can read the fingerprint image when placing the finger with a certain force. As a result, stable fingerprint data can be obtained, and it is possible to reduce collation failure due to unstable placement of the finger.
[0014]
Embodiment 2 FIG.
One embodiment of the third invention of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
In the first embodiment, the vibration device 6 is used as the alarm, but in the second embodiment, a display having a lighting display function is used.
That is, the display is turned on at the same time when the finger is placed, and the display is turned on when the pressing force by the finger placement becomes equal to or greater than the set value.
[0015]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the alarm is operated until the pressing force detected by the pressure sensor becomes equal to or more than the set value after the finger is placed on the fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint image can be read when placed, and stable fingerprint data can be obtained, and poor matching due to the unstable placement of the finger can be reduced.
