Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of quickly searching a desired service. <P>SOLUTION: When a control section of the broadcast receiver checks service configuration information in a DAB broadcast signal received by a DAB (digital audio broadcast) reception section for searching a service, the control section also references the service configuration information after a configuration change denoted by predictive information when the predictive information exists as well as the service configuration information as to a service at present to check whether or not a desired service exists, and when the service configuration information as to the service includes no desired service but the predictive information includes the desired service, the control section makes the broadcast receiver output the desired service after awaiting a configuration change. As a result, an overlooking at the time of checking the service configuration information in the DAB broadcast signal, when only the service configuration information as to the service broadcast at present is referred to and the desired service is started in the DAB broadcast just after the referencing, can be avoided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI

Description

【0001】
1つのアンサンブルよる多重化放送は図4に示す如くDAB伝送フレームにより構成されており、この内、MSC(Main Information Channel;メイン情報チャンネル)には各サービスの実体データが含まれており、FIC(First Information Channel ;ファースト情報チャンネル)にはアンサンブル識別情報、放送に含まれるサービスの構成を示すサービス構成情報等のDAB放送管理情報が含まれている。
【0003】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a broadcast receiving apparatus and a broadcast receiving method, and in particular, a plurality of services (audio programs, information programs such as weather / traffic, etc.) are multiplexed on one carrier frequency such as DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast). The present invention relates to a broadcast receiving device and a broadcast receiving method for receiving a multiplex broadcast.
[0002]
[Prior art]
DAB, which provides mobile stations with high-quality radio programs, has been put to practical use in Europe. DAB has the advantage that it can receive a large number of audio programs, weather information or traffic information at any time.
For each broadcasting channel of the current DAB, an empty frequency between reception frequencies allocated to each channel of television broadcasting is used. A carrier frequency group corresponding to each broadcast channel is called an ensemble, and a plurality of services are multiplexed in each ensemble. A multiplexed broadcast by one ensemble is composed of DAB transmission frames as shown in FIG. 4. Among them, an MSC (Main Information Channel) includes entity data of each service, and an FIC (Main Information Channel). First Information Channel (First Information Channel) includes ensemble identification information and DAB broadcast management information such as service configuration information indicating a configuration of a service included in the broadcast.
[0003]
By the way, the DAB is allowed to arbitrarily change the service configuration (the number of services and the audio bit rate) during the broadcast, and this is called MRC (Multi Re-Configuration; multiplex reconfiguration). When the MRC function will be described with reference to FIG. 5, the service configuration service A currently being broadcast, B, it is C, considered service A at timing t S, B, and vary the configuration of the C. Service configuration information services A currently being broadcast, if earlier than the timing t P 6 seconds configuration change occurs, B, only the configuration information about the D. In addition to the service of the service configuration information now on air becomes the timing of t P, Service A after configuration change, B, and notice information that notified the configuration information and D, are transmitted together the time information to configuration changes You. Then, after the configuration change occurs, there is no notice information, and only the service configuration information on the currently broadcast services A, B, and D is returned. The details of such a function of the MRC are described in JP-A-11-68597.
[0004]
FIG. 6 shows a general configuration of a DAB broadcast receiving apparatus. Reference numeral 1 denotes an antenna, and 2 denotes a DAB receiving unit, which receives a DAB broadcast signal (multiplexed broadcast signal) by tuning to an arbitrary ensemble in a DAB broadcast band at a variable reception frequency and receives a DAB included in the FIC. It decodes and outputs broadcast management information (service configuration information and the like), reproduces and outputs audio of a music program desired by the user, and extracts and outputs weather information or traffic information desired by the user. Reference numeral 3 denotes a display unit for displaying information on the selected service, weather information, traffic information, and the like. Reference numeral 4 denotes an operation unit for selecting a desired service. When a desired service is selected by the operation unit 4, a control unit 5 controls each unit to output voice, weather information, or traffic information relating to a service desired by the user.
[0005]
FIG. 7 is a flowchart showing a conventional service search process by the control unit 5. When a desired service is selected by the operation unit 4, the control unit 5 controls the DAB receiving unit 2 and firstly controls the DAB receiving unit 2 in the predetermined DAB band. The first ensemble having the lower frequency is tuned to the frequency (steps S10 and S11). Then, it is checked whether the DAB receiving section 2 has received the DAB broadcast signal (step S12). If not, it is checked whether or not the ensemble with the highest frequency in the DAB band has been searched (step S13). Since it is NO in this case, the frequency is tuned to the frequency of the next ensemble whose frequency is one step higher (steps S14 and S11). Then, it is checked whether the DAB receiving section 2 has received the DAB broadcast signal (step S12). If it can be done this time, it waits for the DAB receiving unit 2 to decode the DAB broadcast management information (step S15), and when it is decoded, inputs it and refers to the service configuration information of the currently broadcasted service to determine the desired service. It is checked whether it is currently being broadcast (step S16). If NO, the DAB receiver 2 is controlled again to tune to the frequency of one ensemble related to the channel whose frequency is one step higher (steps S13, S14, S11), but if YES in step S16, the DAB receiver 2 If the desired service is an audio program, the sound of the desired program is reproduced and output. If the desired service is weather information or traffic information, the desired information is extracted and input. Is displayed (step S17). As a result, a service desired by the user can be output.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Meanwhile, when a certain DAB broadcast is received during the search for the desired service D selected by the operation unit 4 and it is checked whether the desired service is currently being broadcast (step S16), the broadcast of the desired service D is started by the DAB broadcast. when was just before 3 seconds before (see t x in FIG. 5), the service currently being broadcast a, B, because becomes C only there NO, resulting in transition to the reception of the next ensemble. For this reason, the search error of the desired service is violated, and after searching for the ensemble of the highest frequency in the DAB band, the search is performed again by returning to the ensemble of the lowest frequency in the DAB band. There was a problem that they had to wait for a long time to finish.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and has as its object to provide a broadcast receiving apparatus and a broadcast receiving method that can quickly search for a desired service.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the broadcast receiving apparatus according to the first aspect, a multiplex broadcast in which a plurality of services are multiplexed on one carrier frequency is received, and voice or information of a desired service is output, or service configuration information is extracted and output. And a selection unit for selecting a desired service to be searched, and whether there is advance notice information that changes to a new service configuration in the service configuration information output by the reception unit. When the desired service is selected by the determination unit and the selection unit, the reception unit is controlled to sequentially tune to a plurality of multiplexed broadcasts existing within a predetermined band, and the reception unit performs a certain multiplexed broadcast. Upon reception, the service configuration information received from the multiplex broadcast is checked, and if a desired service is present in the service configuration information currently being broadcast, tuning to the certain multiplex broadcast is performed. Then, the desired service is reproduced and output. If there is no desired service in the service configuration information currently being broadcast and there is no notice information, it is tuned to the next multiplexed broadcast, and the desired configuration is included in the service configuration information currently being broadcast. If there is no service and there is advance information but there is no desired service in advance information, it is tuned to the next multiplexed broadcast, and there is no desired service in the service configuration information currently being broadcast, but advance information exists and Service search control means for, when the desired service is included in the advance notice information, continuing to tune to the certain multiplexed broadcast and waiting for the start of the broadcast of the desired service to reproduce the desired service; And
[0008]
In the broadcast receiving method according to the second aspect, receiving a multiplexed broadcast in which a plurality of services are multiplexed on one carrier frequency, reproducing a desired service, and extracting and outputting service configuration information. When a desired service is selected in a broadcast receiving apparatus provided with means, the receiving means is controlled to sequentially tune to a plurality of multiplexed broadcasts existing within a predetermined band, and the receiving means receives a multiplexed broadcast. Then, the service configuration information received from the multiplex broadcast is checked, and if there is a desired service in the service configuration information currently being broadcast, tuning to the multiplex broadcast is continued to reproduce the desired service. If there is no desired service in the service configuration information currently being broadcast and there is no notice information, it is tuned to the next multiplexed broadcast, and the desired service is included in the service configuration information currently being broadcast. If there is no notice information but there is no desired service in the notice information, it is tuned to the next multiplexed broadcast, and there is no desired service in the service configuration information currently being broadcast, but there is notice information and notice information When there is a desired service, the tuning to the certain multiplexed broadcast is continued, and the desired service is reproduced after the start of the broadcasting of the desired service.
[0009]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a DAB broadcast receiving apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention, and the same components as those in FIG. 6 are denoted by the same reference numerals.
In FIG. 1, reference numeral 2 denotes a DAB receiving unit which receives a DAB broadcast signal (multiplexed broadcast signal) in synchronization with an arbitrary ensemble in a DAB broadcast band at a variable reception frequency, and receives a DAB included in the FIC. When a desired service is selected by the operation unit 4, a control unit 5 </ b> A controls each unit to output voice, weather information, or traffic information relating to a service desired by the user.
[0010]
When the control unit 5A checks the service configuration information received by the DAB reception unit 2 to search for a service, the control unit 5A indicates not only the service configuration information on the currently broadcasted service but also the advance notice information if there is advance notice information. It is checked whether a desired service exists by referring to the service configuration information after the configuration change. Then, when the desired service is not present in the service configuration information of the service currently being broadcast, but is present in the notice information, the desired service is output after waiting for a configuration change.
The other components are configured exactly the same as in FIG.
[0011]
FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing a service search process by the control unit 5A, and FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram of the service search process. Hereinafter, the operation of the above-described embodiment will be described with reference to these drawings.
When a desired service, for example, service D, is selected by the operation unit 4, the control unit 5 controls the DAB reception unit 2 to tune to the frequency of the first ensemble having the lowest frequency in a predetermined DAB band (step S10). , S11). Then, it is checked whether the DAB receiving section 2 has received the DAB broadcast signal (step S12). If not, it is checked whether or not the ensemble with the highest frequency in the DAB band has been searched (step S13). Since it is NO here, the DAB receiving unit 2 is controlled to tune to the next ensemble with the next higher frequency (step S14). S11). Then, it is again checked whether the DAB receiver 2 has received the DAB broadcast signal (step S12). If this is possible, the DAB receiving unit 2 waits for the DAB broadcast management information to be decoded (step S15). If the DAB broadcast management information is decoded, the DAB receiving unit 2 inputs the DAB broadcast management information. Is currently being broadcast (step S16). At this time, it is assumed that services E, F, and G are currently being broadcast in the second ensemble as shown in FIG. If the determination in step 16 is assumed to be the timing of t 1, it is determined NO in step S16. At this time, subsequently, it is checked whether or not the service configuration change notice information exists in the DAB broadcast management information (step S18). Here, too, the result is NO, so that the DAB receiver 2 is controlled to tune to the next ensemble whose frequency is higher by one step (steps S13, S14, S11).
[0012]
Then, it is again checked whether the DAB receiver 2 has received the DAB broadcast signal (step S12). If it can be done again, it waits for DAB broadcast management information to be decoded by the DAB receiving unit 2 (step S15), and when it is decoded, inputs the DAB broadcast management information and firstly refers to the service configuration information of the currently broadcasted service to obtain the desired service. Is currently being broadcast (step S16). At this time, in the third ensemble, as shown in FIG. 3 (2), the services H, I, and J are currently being broadcast, but immediately before the configuration changes to the services H, I, and D. It is assumed that time information is being broadcast together. If the determination in step 16 is assumed to be the timing of t x, it determines NO in step S16. At this time, subsequently, it is checked whether or not the service configuration change notice information exists in the DAB broadcast management information (step S18). This time is YES, so it is checked whether or not the desired service exists in the service configuration after the configuration change indicated by the advance notice information (step S19). If NO, the DAB receiver 2 is controlled again to tune to the frequency of one ensemble related to the channel whose frequency is one step higher (steps S13, S14, S11), but here, YES is determined in step S19. At this time, the remaining time until the input and configuration changes in the new DAB broadcast management information from the DAB receiver unit 2 repeats of checks becomes zero, when the configuration change occurs (see t S in FIG. 3 (2)) In step S20, YES is determined, and the DAB receiving unit 2 is instructed to reproduce and output the sound of the desired program if the desired service is an audio program, and to the desired information if the desired service is weather information or traffic information. Is extracted and input, and the desired information is displayed on the display unit 3 (step S17). As a result, it is possible to promptly output a service desired by the user.
[0013]
According to this embodiment, when the control unit 5A checks the service configuration information in the DAB broadcast signal received by the DAB reception unit 2 to search for a service, the control unit 5A uses only the service configuration information for the service currently being broadcast. If the notice information is present, it is checked whether the desired service exists by referring to the service configuration information after the configuration change indicated by the notice information. Then, when the desired service is not present in the service configuration information of the service currently being broadcast, but is present in the notice information, the desired service is output after waiting for a configuration change. As a result, when the service configuration information in the DAB broadcast signal is checked, if only the service configuration information of the service currently being broadcast is referred to, the case where the desired service starts immediately in the DAB broadcast is overlooked. However, the search for the desired service can be completed quickly without such mistakes.
[0014]
In the above-described embodiment, a case has been described as an example in which a DAB broadcast practically used in Europe is to be received. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and other types of multiplexing may be used. It goes without saying that the present invention can be similarly applied to a case where a broadcast is to be received.
[0015]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, when checking the service configuration information of a multiplex broadcast for searching for a desired service, not only the service configuration information of the service currently being broadcast but also the advance notice information transmitted before a configuration change occurs. , The search for the desired service can be completed promptly without any search error.
