遠心ファンの静穏化に係る改良は、小型化・薄型化を伴う用途の拡大で多様を極め、上術先願公知文献だけでなく、多くの策が提案されているが、その過半は回転動作に伴う騒音発生源である多翼羽根車に係る改良で、流体力学に基づくブレード形状の設定や、ブレード配置を対象とするものが多いのが実態であった。

そして、多翼羽根車の構成としては、円筒状に並ぶ多数の翼を回転体として保持するために、軸に連係するインペラボスが設けられるが、周知構成として見られるインペラボスは、例えば図5に見るように、その内部に駆動電動機を収納するためにカップ状に形成され、平坦なその頭部が遠心ファンの吸気口に対向することから、図に矢示するように、流入空気の流れは、中心部の一部が該インペラボス頭部に鋭角状に衝突する。

遠心ファンの動作音としては、上述の通り羽根車のインペラに起因するものと共に、該吸気の乱れでのインペラボスに関わるノイズも加わり、該インペラボス周りからのノイズ伝播も改善課題であることに変わりが無く、インペラボスの剛性のアップも検討課題である他、上述し図示のようなインペラボス形状によるノイズ放散が、図6に示すようにその向きを一にすることも、改善すべき点であることが浮上してきた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述の如き従来の構成は、それ相応の効果を実現して来てはいるが、実用上の改善へのニーズは止まること無く、小さな改善でも、その積み上げによる更なる静穏化の実現が望まれていることに変わりが無いのが実態であった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明に成る遠心ファンは、ケーシングと、該ケーシングの内部に回転自在に軸支される多翼羽根車と、該多翼羽根車の内側でケーシングの吸込口中央部に対向するインペラボスと、該インペラボスに内装される駆動電動機もしくはインペラボスを回転子ハブとする外転型電動機を有し、前記ケーシングの吸込口から空気を吸入し、前記多翼羽根車の回転に拠り吸入空気に遠心力を与え、ケーシング外周面の一部に形成された吐出口から高圧空気を吐出するもので、前記インペラボスはその頭部が球状面を備え、好ましくは中央部に径がインペラボス径の1/4を超える大きさの球状面とこれに連通する平坦面とより成り、もしくはインペラボス頭部中央にインペラボス径の1/2以下の径で形成される平坦面とその周縁に連通する球状面とより成るように形成されている。

【実施例】
以下図面によって本発明の実施例を説明する。

図1は、本願発明に成る遠心ファンの例の要部断面図で、駆動電動機は、インペラボスを回転子ハブとする外転型駆動電動機を使用している。該外転型駆動電動機を使用した遠心ファンの全体構造については、周知技術であるので説明を省略する。

該例は、インペラボスが吸気口に対向する頭部全体が球状面を有するもので、従来技術を示す上述図5と対比して明らかなように、インペラボスの頭部形状に特徴を有するものである。

図1に示す例では、インペラボス頭部が球状面として形成されていることから、吸気の流れが、図に矢示するように円滑になることは言うまでも無い。

そして該構成では、図2に示すようにインペラボスが吸気の流れに曝されて生じる振動や、内装される電動機の回転動作に拠るノイズの放散が八方に分散されることになって、騒音抑制に繋がっている。

図3は本願発明の第2の例で、インペラボス頭部形状を、中心部の球状面とこれに連通する周縁の平坦面として形成されているものである。

また上述実施例では、駆動電動機を回転子ハブがインペラボスを兼ね、該インペラボスの内部に回転子本体が固定保持されている外転型電動機であるものとしているが、該例も含め周知技術の範疇として、インペラボスとは別体を成す駆動電動機が、当該インペラボスに内装される構成にも適用されることは言うまでも無い。

【発明の効果】
本発明に成る遠心ファンは、上述の如き構成により、吸気から排気に至る空気の流れの円滑化や、これに関連するインペラボスのノイズ放散の分散化による騒音抑制を実現している。
