Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting fixture with improved decorativeness by changing an appearance according to the brightness of surroundings and lighting on/off of a light source. <P>SOLUTION: A cover 2 is provided with a first decoration part 3 showing a first pattern seen when the light source is lit or when the surroundings are bright, and a second decoration part 4 showing a second pattern seen when the light source is put off and the surroundings are dark. Further, the second decoration part 4 is covered with the first decoration part 3 as seen from outside of the cover 2. Since different patterns are shown on the cover 2 when the light source is lit and the surroundings are bright and when the light source is put off and the surroundings are dark, decorativeness is improved by changing of an appearance due to brightness of the surroundings and lighting on/off of the light source. 【従来の技術】
従来から、この種の照明器具において、残光性蛍光体によってカバーに模様を描いたものが提供されている（例えば、特許文献１参照）。この照明器具は、光源が消灯し且つ周囲が暗いとき、残光性蛍光体が発光することにより、カバーに光る模様が現れるものである。この光る模様により、無地の照明器具に比べて装飾性を高めている。また、子供が寝るときの恐怖心を和らげるなどの心理的な効果もあった。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。

本実施形態は、図２に示すように、天井などの施工面Ｃに配設され、豆電球Ｌ１や環状蛍光灯Ｌ２（以下、この２つを総称して「光源Ｌ」と呼ぶ）を支持する器具本体１と、透光性材料からなり光源Ｌを覆うカバー２とを備える。器具本体１は、金属性の円盤状であって一面を施工面Ｃに向けて固定される基部１１と、基部１１の他面の周縁部に突設された周壁１２とを備える。周壁１２の外側面の先端部には保持突起１３が突設されている。基部１１において周壁１２に囲まれた部位には、環状蛍光灯Ｌ２を点灯するための点灯回路を構成する電子部品が実装された回路基板が収納された回路収納部１４と、回路収納部１４内の回路基板と環状蛍光灯Ｌ２とを電気的に接続する蛍光灯用ソケット１５と、金属板からなり一部がＵ字状に曲成され環状蛍光灯Ｌ２を引掛けて保持するランプホルダ１６と、豆電球Ｌ１が取り付けられる豆電球用ソケット１７とが設けられている。

カバー２はドーム形状であって、周縁部が内側へ反っており、窪んだ側の面を器具本体１へ向けて端部が器具本体１の保持突起１３に係止されることによって器具本体１に保持されている。また、カバー２は施工面に直交する方向から見て図１に示すように円形状に形成されている。カバー２の外面には、太陽のキャラクターとその周囲の光芒とを象った第１の模様を表す第１の装飾部３が設けられ、カバー２の内面には、三日月のキャラクターとその周囲に配置された星とを象った第２の模様を表す第２の装飾部４が設けられている。第１の装飾部３は透光性塗料を用い、第２の装飾部４は残光性蛍光体を用いて、それぞれカバー２上に例えばシルク印刷を施すことによって形成されている。従って、周囲が明るいとき及び光源Ｌの点灯時には第１の装飾部３が照らされて図３に示す第１の模様が現れ、光源Ｌが消灯し且つ周囲が暗いときには第２の装飾部４が発光して図４に示す第２の模様が現れる。ここで、カバー２の外側から見ると、三日月のキャラクターは太陽のキャラクターに覆われ、星は光芒に覆われている。つまり、第２の装飾部４はカバー２の外側から見て全体が第１の装飾部３に覆われている。また、光源Ｌを消灯しかつ周囲が明るいときには第２の装飾部４が見えない程度に、第１の装飾部３の透明度は低くしてある。

第１の模様及び第２の模様の他の例として、例えば第１の模様を図５に示すようにカバー２の外周に沿って並んだ複数の動物のキャラクターがそれぞれ目を開けている様子を象ったものとし、第２の模様を図６に示すように第１の模様と同じ動物のキャラクターがそれぞれ眼を閉じて眠っている様子を象ったものとしてもよい。このように第１の模様と第２の模様とを関連させてストーリー性を持たせることによって、面白みが増し子供に喜ばれる照明器具とすることができる。
