Abstract
Description
【0001】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, a conventional IC card reader / writer has a problem that a card holder and a holder pedestal are integrated, and when used on a desk, a large installation space is required, which hinders operation.
Furthermore, since the IC card reader / writer does not have a receiving socket for connecting another device, there is a problem that data of an external device cannot be used.
The inventor of the present application has researched that the card holder and the holder pedestal can be used separately and that other terminal devices can be connected to a PC via a reader / writer for an IC card. The invention has been completed.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The gist of the present invention for solving the above-mentioned problem is that a card holder having a terminal plate and a USB socket conforming to the ISO7816 standard and for inserting an IC card, and a card holder pedestal having a USB receiving socket and a USB cable are formed of a USB. The socket and the USB receiver socket have a structure that can be used by fitting them. With this structure, the card holder can be used as an IC card reader / writer in a state fitted to the card holder pedestal, and without using the card holder pedestal. An IC card reader / writer that can be used as an IC card reader / writer by itself, wherein the card holder base further includes a USB receiving socket for connecting an external device and a USB hub device. Reader / writer.
[0009]
In the above IC card reader / writer, a plurality of external device connection USB receiving sockets can be provided. If a projecting member is provided at the USB socket mounting portion of the card holder, the USB socket connection of the card holder can be strengthened. If the card holder is provided with a convex member for identifying the front and back, and the holder pedestal is provided with a concave groove into which the convex member is inserted, the front and back are not mistaken.
