Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a body surface monitor, and more particularly, to a structure of a body surface monitor.
The body surface monitor functions as a body surface radiation measuring device, which is installed in, for example, a nuclear power plant, a nuclear fuel processing facility, or the like. That is, a body surface monitor is installed at the entrance of the radiation control area, and radiation is measured for workers who enter the radiation control area and who leave the radiation control area for controlling their exposure.
A conventional body surface monitor generally includes a main body, an entrance door, an exit door, and the like. Conventionally, when the entrance door is in the open state and the exit door is in the closed state, the worker enters the measurement room, in which the worker turns 90 degrees, and the right and left hands formed on the front face are turned. Insert your hand into the measuring unit. In that state, the entrance door is closed and radiation is measured for a predetermined time. After the measurement is completed, the exit door is opened, and the worker leaves the measurement room. Then, the exit door is closed and the entrance door is opened. This process is repeated for each worker. In addition, Japanese Patent No. 2807168 discloses a body surface monitor that can perform measurement without changing the direction in a measurement room.
In a conventional body surface monitor, a measurement chamber as a cavity has a box shape or a rectangular shape. A plurality of planar radiation detectors are arranged on the inner surface. On the other hand, a human body in a standing state roughly has an outer shape whose middle part is expanded and whose top and bottom are narrowed. Therefore, when measuring the worker in the measurement room, the upper and lower parts of the worker tend to separate from the radiation detector. As a result, a problem such as a decrease in detection efficiency or sensitivity occurs.
Some body surface monitors have a head detector that moves up and down to accommodate workers of various heights. However, there is a problem that when the heavy head detector is further vertically lowered and positioned near the head in the state of being confined in the measurement room, a considerable psychological oppression is generated.
Further, in order to cope with various heights, it is desired to raise and lower the hand detector in accordance with the height, but in that case, there is a problem that the device configuration becomes complicated.
Further, it is desired to measure the radiation in a state facing the inner surface of the exit door without changing the direction in the measurement room. In this case, it is difficult to arrange two hand detectors at the exit door. There is a problem.
An object of the present invention is to improve detection sensitivity in a body surface monitor.
Another object of the present invention is to eliminate the feeling of psychological pressure as much as possible.
It is another object of the present invention to be able to accommodate subjects of various heights.
Another object of the present invention is to reduce the apparatus cost.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a preferred embodiment of a body surface monitor according to the present invention, and FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view thereof.
The body surface monitor shown in FIG. 1 is installed at, for example, a nuclear power plant. Specifically, the body surface monitor is provided at an entrance of a radiation control area, and measures body surface contamination of workers entering and leaving the area. It is a device to do.
The body surface monitor is roughly divided into a
The
In the
The
Therefore, as described above, the
Describing the radiation detector further, in the present embodiment, the
Of course, the arrangement of the radiation detectors is an example, and various arrangement methods can be used. However, it is desirable to arrange each radiation detector so that body surface contamination can be measured over the entire body of the worker who is the subject.
FIG. 2 shows a schematic cross section of the body surface monitor shown in FIG. 1 as viewed from above. In the configuration shown in FIG. 2, 18A indicates an inlet opening, and 18B indicates an outlet opening. Each opening is provided with the above-described
Returning to FIG. 1, in the present embodiment, the height of the apex of the
Next, the operation will be described. First, with the
When the radiation measurement is completed, only the
In the body surface monitor of the present embodiment,
FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the body surface monitor. In FIG. 3, the measurement chamber has a rhombic shape as a whole, which is the same as the configuration shown in FIG. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, a radiation detector S20 of a double-sided detection type is provided in the
Further, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the two radiation detectors S4 provided at the top are configured to be able to change the inclination. For this purpose, an
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, only the uppermost two radiation detectors S <b> 4 are adjusted in their postures. However, it is needless to say that the postures of the other radiation detectors can be changed according to their height or body type. You may. In any case, the detection efficiency can be increased by bringing the radiation detector as close to the body surface as possible.
Incidentally, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the surface corresponding to the lower inner surface shown in FIG. 1 is constituted by the vertical surface and the inclined surface, but the rhombic shape is maintained in the entire measurement chamber.
In the above description, the two radiation detectors S4 are equally inclined, but only one of them may be inclined. For example, if one of the radiation detectors S4 is tilted so as to be parallel (horizontal) with respect to the floor surface, the detection sensitivity of the head can be increased for a shorter person.
10 body, 12 entrance door, 14 exit door, 18 measurement room (cavity), 26 hand detection unit, 28 grooves, S1 to S11, S20 radiation detector.
