しかし、上記のような従来の生ごみ乾燥処理機では、容器内に直接生ごみを投入する為、作業者の手や周囲を汚し、不衛生な上、元々置かれていた生ごみを生ごみ乾燥処理機に移し替え、更に乾燥処理終了後は廃棄のため別の容器または袋に移し替える手間がかかる、等の問題を有していた。
