本発明は、モータの水冷構造に関し、特に、輪状ステータの外側の筒状ケースの周面に形成した溝を利用して水路部とし、パイプを用いない構造とするための新規な改良に関する。

従来、用いられていたこの種のモータの水冷構造としては、モータの外周にパイプで形成した水冷用のジャケットを巻付ける構成が採用されていた(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
すなわち、図示していないが、螺旋状に形成したパイプ内に水を循環させ、モータ自体の温度上昇を抑えるようにしていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来のモータの水冷構造は、以上のように構成されていたため、次のような課題が存在していた。
すなわち、モータの筒状ケースの周面に、この筒状ケースとは別体で形成された螺旋状のパイプを取付けていたため、この螺旋状のパイプの製作が容易でなく、多大の労力とコストを必要とし、コストダウン及び信頼性向上の大きい障害となっていた。

本発明は、以上のような課題を解決するためになされたもので、特に、輪状ステータの外側の筒状ケースの周面に形成した溝を利用して水路部とし、パイプを用いない構造としたモータの水冷構造を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明によるモータの水冷構造は、輪状ステータを内面に有する筒状ケースと、前記筒状ケースの両端に設けられ軸受を有する前蓋及び後蓋と、前記軸受に回転自在に設けられ前記輪状ステータの内側に設けられたロータと、前記筒状ケースの周面に形成され輪状外筒によって覆われた溝からなる水路部と、前記水路部に接続された水の入口及び出口とよりなり、前記水路部に水を循環させることにより水冷を行うようにした構成である。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面と共に本発明によるモータの水冷構造の好適な実施の形態について説明する。
図1において符号1で示されるものは輪状ステータ2を内面1aに有する筒状ケースであり、この筒状ケース1の周面1bには、螺旋状又はジグザグ状等で形成されこの周面1bを覆うように構成された溝からなる水路部3が形成されている。

前記筒状ケース1の周面1bには、この水路部3を密閉状に覆うように輪状外筒4がOリング4aを介して設けられ、この輪状外筒4にはこの水路部3に連通するように入口5及び出口6(図示は省略している)が形成されている。

前記筒状ケース1の両端には、前蓋7及び後蓋8がボルト9で接続固定されており、この前蓋7及び後蓋8には軸受10、11が各々設けられている。
前記各軸受10、11間には、回転自在な回転軸12を介してロータ13が回転自在に設けられ、このロータ13は輪状ステータ2の内側に位置している。

次に、動作について述べる。まず、図1のように密閉された水路部3が形成された状態で、入口5から水を注入し、出口6を用いて水路部3内に水を循環させると、モータの駆動によって輪状ステータ2の温度が上昇するが、この温度上昇が水冷部3への水の循環によって防止され、モータの定格迄の出力を発揮することができる。
尚、各蓋7、8の中の一方のみは筒状ケース1と一体に形成することもでき、水路部3への水の入口5と出口6の構成も、パイプ等の他の構造とすることもできる。

【発明の効果】
本発明によるモータの水冷構造は、以上のように構成されているため、次のような効果を得ることができる。
すなわち、筒状ケースの周面に形成された溝状の水路部を輪状外筒で覆っているため、従来のパイプを加工して得る水路部と比較すると、製作が大幅に容易となり、コストダウン及び信頼性の向上を得ることができる。
