Abstract
Description
【0001】

【0062】

Here, FIG. 12 is an explanatory diagram for explaining the format (predetermined format) of the data registration mail. In the body of the mail, the registered contents of the mail include the date and time of mail creation (MM / DD / YYYY / DD / HH / NN), telephone number (09012345678), record number (1234), total count value (999999999), section count (4 days ago) ( 1234), section count (three days ago) (1234123341234 ... 1234), section count (two days ago) (123421341234 ... 1234), section count (one day ago) (123421341234 ... 1234), section The count (today) (123421341234... 1234) is entered on a new line. Here, the record number indicates the serial number of the data registration mail from the time of resetting, and the total count value indicates the total count value from the reset time by outputting eight digits, that is, the total number of steps. Means that the number of steps for each predetermined time unit stored in the number-of-

(Setting change processing)
Next, the setting change processing will be described. FIG. 13 is a flowchart showing the display and the transition of the display during the setting change process. First, the setting change screen (H401) is displayed by pressing the DOWN key on the data registration screen (H301). When the SET key 13a is pressed, the screen changes to a screen (H402) for changing the model setting first. However, in the same manner as (initial setting processing, user registration processing), a change of various settings and user registration are performed using the SET key, the UP key 13b, or the DOWN key 13c.
[0055]
Next, an outline of a processing procedure in the
[0056]
Specifically, user authentication can be performed by comparing a telephone number or the like attached to the already registered user registration mail with a telephone number or the like attached to the received data registration mail. At this time, it is also possible to perform a process of transmitting a mail to that effect or registration, for example, when the registration has not been made.
[0057]
The calculation of the date and time for the number of steps for each predetermined time unit will be described using the data registration mail of this example. If the mail creation date and time is “13:15 on January 10, 2003”, four days before, "January 6, 2003", which is listed in chronological order, so that the initial number of steps "1234" is changed from "0:00:00 on January 6, 2003 to 0:59:59", and The number of steps “1234” is “from 1:00:00 on January 6, 2003 to 1:59:59”, and the date and time can be sequentially associated. Similarly, three days before is “January 7, 2003”, and the date and time can be similarly sequentially associated. The association is performed in this way, and the number of steps is counted in addition to the number of steps counted in the past. At this time, if the number of steps whose date and time overlap is already counted, the existing number of steps is left as it is, and the new number of steps is discarded. Note that the number of steps may be replaced with a new number. In this way, the date and time can be associated with each and counted. In the above description, the date and time are made to correspond sequentially from the oldest one, but the date and time may be made to correspond sequentially from the newest one. In this case, the newest step count is “12:00:00 on January 10, 2003 to 12:59:59”.
[0058]
Further, in this example, the number of steps per hour is divided into units of one day. However, for example, if the number of steps is arranged in chronological order without dividing the date, the mail creation date The date and time of the oldest step count can be associated with the number of section data, and the date and time can be sequentially associated with the oldest one. Also in this case, the date and time may be made to correspond in order from the newest one.
[0059]
The reference date and time may be the mail transmission date and time. In this case, for example, the transmission time is shifted from 13:00 to 13:00 even though the mail creation time is 12:59. In some cases, the counting may be shifted. Therefore, using the mail creation time can eliminate the deviation of the total.
[0060]
Further, when creating the data registration mail, the

Further, when the information to be provided becomes tired, the information provided by the server can be added or changed by adding or changing application software, and there is no need to replace the pedometer. Further, if desired information can be selected from various types of information, the pedometer can be improved in taste.
[0063]
In the above description, a mobile phone is used as the communication device. However, the communication device may be a personal computer having a function of enabling input from a pedometer or application software.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the step count information of the pedometer can be transmitted to the server via the network using the communication device, and further, the server can count the step count in correspondence with the date and time. Then, various information can be provided by the total result and the application software prepared in the server. Further, by adding or changing the information that can be provided, it is possible to provide information that does not get tired.
[0066]
Therefore, the user can confirm the number of steps, raise the consciousness of ensuring proper daily exercise, and improve the health of the user.
