[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the input device of the type in which the input is performed by rotating as described above has the following problem.
The Hall IC which is generally used has a long pulse drive generation timing, and the pulse drive generation time is, for example, 50 ms to 100 ms. Therefore, in order to sufficiently increase the rotation detection speed of the rotating part, a huge cost is required for the development of the Hall IC.
In addition, in the input device using such a Hall IC, the outer dimensions of the package become large. Therefore, it is difficult to mount such an input device on a thin portable electronic device, and when such an input device is mounted, it is difficult to reduce the thickness of the electronic device.
Accordingly, the present invention solves the above-described problems, and when a user applies a rotational force to input an instruction, the rotation detection speed can be sufficiently increased, and the input device and the electronic device having the input device can be reduced in thickness. The purpose is to provide equipment.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention according to
[0006]
In the first aspect, the base member is fixed to a substrate having a signal generating member that generates a signal according to an instruction. The rotation operation member is rotatably attached to the base member about a rotation center.
The key top is supported by the rotation operation member. The key top presses the signal generating member by pressing the key top toward the substrate to generate a signal.
The first magnetic detection sensor is arranged on a first circumference centered on the rotation center of the keytop with respect to the base member. The second magnetic detection sensor is arranged on a second circumference centered on the rotation center of the keytop with respect to the base member.
The plurality of first magnets are arranged along the first circumference in the rotary operation member. The plurality of second magnets are arranged along the second circumference in the rotary operation member.
The first circumference is larger than the second circumference. The plurality of first magnets and the plurality of second magnets are alternately shifted by the same angle about the rotation center.
[0007]
Thus, when the user rotates the rotation operation member about the rotation center, the first magnetic detection sensor detects the magnetism of the plurality of first magnets and generates a detection output. Similarly, when the rotation operation member rotates, the second magnetic detection sensor detects the magnetism of the plurality of second magnets and generates a detection output.
Thus, by synthesizing the detection output of the first magnetic detection sensor and the detection output of the second magnetic detection sensor, the rotation detection speed of the rotary operation member can be increased.
Further, by arranging the plurality of first magnets and the plurality of second magnets concentrically on the rotating operation member side, by disposing the first magnetic detection sensor and the second magnetic detection sensor on the base member, the rotation center is reduced. The sensor and the magnet can be arranged in the radial direction around the center. Therefore, the thickness of the input device in the rotation center axis direction can be reduced.
[0008]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the input device according to the first aspect, the first magnet and the second magnet are arranged on an inner side of the rotary operation member and on a side facing the substrate.
[0009]
In the second aspect, the first magnet and the second magnet are arranged on the inner surface side of the rotary operation member and on the side facing the substrate.
Thus, the first magnet and the second magnet can be covered from the outside by the rotary operation member, so that the magnets are not exposed to the outside.
[0010]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the input device according to the second aspect, the rotary operation member is a metal member.
[0011]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the input device according to the first aspect, the signal generating member is a metal reversing plate whose shape is elastically restored when the pressing force is released.
[0012]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the input device according to the first aspect, the first detection waveform generated by the first magnetic detection sensor and the second detection waveform generated by the second magnetic detection sensor are combined. The rotation of the rotation operation member is detected.
[0013]
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the input device according to the first aspect, the key top is disposed at a center position of the rotary operation member.
[0014]
The invention according to
[0015]
According to the seventh aspect, the base member is fixed to a substrate having a signal generating member that generates a signal according to an instruction.
[0016]
Therefore, the thickness of the input device in the direction of the rotation center axis can be reduced, and the size of the electronic device can be reduced.

As the first magnetic detection sensor S1 and the second magnetic detection sensor S2, for example, a Hall IC (integrated circuit) is used. For example, a shield member 111 is arranged between these sensors S1 and S2. Another click feeling generating magnet CM can be arranged between the shield members 111.
[0033]
By arranging the magnet CM for generating a click feeling, an attractive force is generated between the first magnet M1 and the second magnet M2, so that the user rotates the

As shown in FIG. 8, the plurality of first magnets M1 are arranged at intervals along the first circumference C1. Similarly, the plurality of second magnets M2 are arranged at intervals around the second circumference C2. The first circumference C1 is larger than the second circumference C2. The first circumference C1 and the second circumference C2 are concentric circles around the rotation center CL.
Moreover, the plurality of first magnets M1 are arranged at positions shifted from each other with respect to the plurality of second magnets M2. Therefore, the second magnet M2 is located at an angular position between the adjacent first magnets M1 and M1.
[0035]
Thus, a total of twelve first magnets M1 and second magnets M2 are arranged at equal angular intervals within an angle of 360 °. The first magnetic detection sensor S1 shown in FIG. 7 can generate six detection outputs by detecting the magnetism of the six first magnets M1. Similarly, the second magnetic detection sensor S2 can detect the magnetism of the six second magnets M2 shown in FIG. 8 and generate six detection outputs.
Thus, the detection outputs generated by the first magnetic detection sensor S1 and the second magnetic detection sensor S2 during one rotation of the

[0045]
In the embodiment of the present invention, a first magnetic detection sensor S1 and a second magnetic detection sensor S2 such as Hall ICs are used for a rotation detection mechanism of the input device. When a Hall IC is used as such a sensor, there is a problem that the drive timing of the Hall IC is slow due to the characteristics of the Hall IC.
However, by using the two Hall ICs and the first and second magnets located on the outer and inner peripheral portions facing the Hall IC, two types of detection waveforms can be generated and synthesized. Therefore, when the rotation operation member rotates, a required detection speed can be satisfied.
[0046]
