Abstract
Description
【0001】

【0034】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a fixing system for fixing an unfixed toner image transferred to an image support such as paper in an image forming apparatus such as an electrophotographic copying machine or a printer by applying heat and pressure to the image support. It relates to the fixing belt used.
[0002]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
2. Description of the Related Art In an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, generally, an electrostatic latent image corresponding to an image obtained by an image reading device is formed on the surface of a charged photoconductor, and the electrostatic latent image is developed by a developing device. The toner image is electrostatically transferred (primary transfer) to an intermediate transfer belt, and then transferred again from the intermediate transfer belt to an image support such as paper (secondary transfer) to form a final toner image. Form an image.
The unfixed toner image transferred to the image support as described above is then nipped and heated between a pressure roller and a fixing member such as a fixing belt in a fixing system, and fixed as a permanent image on the image support. You.
[0003]
[Prior art]
The fixing belt of the fixing system is required to have low hardness, releasability, heat resistance, abrasion resistance, and the like. As a fixing belt satisfying these characteristics, the fixing belt may be a heat-resistant resin seamless belt provided with a fluorinated resin for the purpose of releasing properties, or a silicone rubber, fluorine An elastic body such as rubber is used, and in many cases, a fluororubber or fluororesin layer is provided on the surface of the elastic body (for example, see Patent Document 1).
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-2002-169394 [0005]
As described above, the fixing belt in which the silicone rubber is used as the elastic layer and the fluororesin layer is provided on the surface layer has high image quality, good thermal responsiveness, good fixability during continuous paper feeding, and has durability. Because it was used a lot.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In recent years, higher image quality has been desired for image forming apparatuses, and as one of the measures, toner has been miniaturized. With the miniaturization of the toner, the fixing belt is required to have smoothness and low hardness for smoothly fixing the toner image on an image support such as paper or a transparent film.
In the fixing belt having the above-mentioned fluororesin layer as a surface layer, a toner image composed of minute toner cannot be fixed smoothly, which is a problem.
Further, the conventionally provided fixing belt generally has a multi-layer structure such as the above-described one in which a surface layer is further formed on an elastic layer. The release layer formed on the surface generally has poor adhesion to the base material. Therefore, in order to form the surface layer on the elastic layer, the surface of the elastic layer is usually treated with a primer or the like. It was necessary to perform a separate treatment such as a treatment or an adhesive layer.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a fixing belt comprising a single layer, wherein the single layer mainly comprises a polyimide silicone resin.
[0008]
As the polyimide silicone resin used for the fixing belt,

[0030]
Since the polyimide silicone resin layer of the present invention has excellent heat resistance, durability, and smoothness and toner releasability that can cope with fine toner as described above, the present invention provides the polyimide silicone resin layer at least on the surface. It is also possible to provide a fixing member having a layer, such as a fixing belt and a fixing roll.
[0031]
Hereinafter, an example of a method for synthesizing the polyimide silicone resin solution composition used for the fixing belt of the present invention will be described.
