Abstract
Description
【0001】

この図4に示されるように、画像処理部201では、8×8画素の単位ブロックB1(JPEGの場合はMCU:Minimum Coded Unitであり、MPEG:Motion Picture Experts Groupではマクロブロックと呼ばれる単位)ごとに可変長復号処理及び逆量子化処理が施されて出力される。

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, a threshold value for removing the high-frequency component is calculated according to the reduction ratio of the image, the high-frequency component is removed based on the calculated threshold value, and the reduction is performed separately from the inverse discrete cosine transform processing. By performing the processing, the reduction processing to an arbitrary size can be performed while suppressing aliasing distortion.
