TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a valve gate of a hot runner mold for injection molding.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a hot runner mold for injection molding, the valve gate is designed so that the gate can be opened and closed mechanically. (1) The mold is forcibly cut off the gate without waiting for cooling and solidification of the molten material (resin, metal). The molding cycle can be shortened by opening the mold. (2) With a mold with multiple cavities, one of the gates is not used (closed) and molding can be performed only with the necessary cavities. In the case of gates, it is used for the purpose of controlling the flow state of a material by changing the opening / closing timing of each gate.
[0003]
In a general valve gate, a valve pin is reciprocated by an air or hydraulic cylinder to open and close a gate hole. Among them, prior art A, which is the most common structure (for example, see Non-Patent Document 1), disposes a cylinder above a manifold block and directly above a gate hole, and allows a valve pin to penetrate through the manifold block to form a material. This is to cut through the flow path. With this structure, (1) it is necessary to penetrate the manifold block, (2) it is necessary to join the material flow path from the side with respect to the vertical line of the gate, and it cannot be used when the gate is directly below the molding machine nozzle (3) Space in the height direction (usually the thickness of the fixed mounting plate) is required. (4) Mold assembly and maintenance are poor. (5) Flow resistance is generated due to the valve pin traversing the material flow path. In particular, there is a problem that the flow resistance increases as the total length of the valve gate increases.
[0004]
In order to solve these problems, various structures have been proposed.
In the prior art B (for example, see Non-patent Document 2), a valve pin is arranged in an oblique direction with respect to a material flow path on a central axis, (1) there is no need to penetrate a manifold block, and (2) molding. There is an advantage that it can be placed directly below the machine nozzle, (3) the height space can be reduced, (4) assembly and maintenance are easy, and (5) the material flow path and the valve pin are independent and do not have flow resistance. .
Further, in the prior art C (for example, see Non-Patent Document 3), a rotary motion from the outside of the valve gate, which is perpendicular to the central axis, is converted into a reciprocating motion by a cam or a gear to move the valve pin up and down. The flow path is formed so as to detour from right above the gate and pass on the axis again, and the same advantages are realized.

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the prior arts B and C also have problems.
In the prior art B, since the air cylinder is in the high temperature portion, it is easily damaged by heat, and the material may leak into the clearance of the sliding portion of the valve pin. Further, the prior art C has a complicated structure and a high cost.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, in the present invention, a material flow path is formed along a central axis of a body arranged in a vertical direction, and a gate hole communicating with a cavity is provided at a lower end thereof, and a central hole of the body is provided at the lower end. On the other hand, a cylinder for reciprocating the piston on a diagonally upper straight line forming a predetermined angle, connected to the piston, curved from the operating shaft toward the center axis of the body, closing the gate hole at the limit of advance of the piston, A flexible valve pin mounted to open a gate hole at the retreat limit to communicate with the material flow path, and guides the operation of the valve pin between the cylinder and the body, while dissipating heat by the surface area effect of the crease shape. A hot runner mold valve gate for injection molding having a guide sleeve configured to be elevated.
[0007]
In the valve gate, the material of the flexible valve pin is preferably spring steel.
[0008]
The valve gate according to the present invention is effective in preventing resin leakage, has a simple structure, and can be manufactured at a low cost, while inheriting the improved advantages of the conventional technologies B and C over the conventional technology A.
[0009]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a fixed mold of a general hot runner injection mold. A manifold block 3 and a plurality of valve gates 1 and 1 are attached to the fixed mold plate 7. The fixed mold is attached to a base plate (not shown) of the injection molding machine by an attachment plate 6.
Inside the manifold block 3, a branched main flow path 4 communicating with the material flow paths 12, 12 of the plurality of valve gates 1, 1 is formed from the nozzle touch portion 3 a. Heated.
[0010]
In the valve gate 1 of FIG. 2, a cap 21 is screwed to a tip of a body 11. The body 11 has a cylindrical shape including a flange portion 11a and a body portion 11b, and a material flow path 12 passes through the central axis. A projection 11c is formed on a side surface of the body 11b in one direction.
The flange portion 11a is received by the fixed mold plate 7, abuts on the manifold block 3 on the material inflow side, and is heated by the cartridge heater 13 to the melting temperature of the material. The body 11b is heated to the melting temperature of the material by the band heater 14 except for the portion that interferes with the protrusion 11c.
A seat surface 16 for attaching the guide sleeve 31 on a straight line at a predetermined angle θ with respect to the central axis is defined as a break point at the point on the central axis whose height from the gate hole 22 is K. Are formed, and the valve pin hole 15 communicates with the material flow path 12.
On the central axis of the cap 21, the material flow path 12 is narrowed in a tapered shape to form a gate hole 22, and a center guide 25 is inserted into the material flow path 12.
[0011]
In the center guide 25, as shown in FIG. 3, an outer ring 25a and an inner ring 25b are connected by a plurality of ribs 25c, and a gap between the ribs 25c is a passage hole 25e. The guide hole 25d at the center of the inner ring 25b is adapted to be fitted with a tip portion 35d of a valve pin 35, which will be described later, and plays a role of centering the tip portion 35d of the valve pin 35 with respect to the gate hole 22 and opening and closing. .
Further, the cross-sectional shapes of the inner race 25b and the rib 25c are formed in a streamlined manner along the material flow direction as shown in FIGS.
[0012]
Next, the guide sleeve 31 includes a fin portion 31a and a tightening portion 31b. The fin portion 31a has a fold shape in which the outer diameter alternates between a large diameter portion and a small diameter portion. Numeral 32 is adapted to engage with an intermediate portion 35b of the valve pin 35. The fastening portion 31b is screwed to the seat surface 16.
Although the heat of the body 11a and the cap 11b is transmitted to the guide sleeve 31 via the protrusion 11c and the valve pin 35, the fin 31a has a fold shape, has a large surface area, and is easily radiated and cooled. Therefore, even if the molten material enters the sliding hole 32, it is cooled and solidified, so that there is no fear of leakage beyond the guide sleeve 31.
[0013]
Next, the cylinder 41 is fixed to the flange portion 11a of the body 11 via the stay 43 so that the piston 45 is on an extension of the guide sleeve 31. A heat insulating plate 44 is inserted between the stay 11 and the stay 43 and between the stay 43 and the cylinder 41, respectively, to prevent the heat of the body 11 from being transmitted to the cylinder 41. A flange 35a of the valve pin 35 is connected to a tip of the piston 45 by a connection bolt 46 and a holder 47, and air is supplied to the air supply ports 42 by opening and closing a solenoid valve (not shown). Stroke and reciprocate.
It should be noted that a hydraulic cylinder may be used instead of the air cylinder.
[0014]
As shown in FIG. 6, the valve pin 35 includes four parts: a brim portion 35a, an intermediate portion 35b, a flexible portion 35c, and a tip portion 35d. These may be processed as an integral material, or may be connected to another material by welding, screwing, or the like. The flange 35a is connected to the piston 45 of the cylinder 41 by a holder 47. The intermediate portion 35b slides in the sliding hole 32 of the guide sleeve 31. The flexible portion 35c curves from the intermediate portion 35b toward the tip portion 35d. The tip portion 35d is guided by the center guide 25 and has a role of opening and closing the gate hole 22.
[0015]
By the way, the total length L of the valve gate 1 varies depending on the size of the fixed mold plate 7 and the shape of the cavity 8, but when the break point height K is constant and the angle L is large, the angle θ is small and L If the angle θ is large, the distance D from the central axis to the cylinder 41 can be kept almost constant, and since K is constant, the magnitude of the flow resistance hardly changes.
[0016]
Next, an example of the operation of the present embodiment will be described.
First, the manifold block 3 and the valve gate 1 are heated to a predetermined temperature at which the material is melted, and then the injection nozzle 9 of the injection molding machine (not shown) is pressed against the nozzle touch portion 3a of the manifold block 3. Further, the piston 45 of the cylinder 41 is set to the retreat limit, and the gate hole 22 is opened.
When a predetermined amount of molten material is injected from the injection nozzle 9 by operating the injection molding machine, the molten material flows from the main flow path 4 of the manifold block 3 to the material flow path 12 of the valve gate 1, and the flow path hole of the center guide 25 is formed. The cavity 8 is filled from the gate hole 22 through 25e.
[0017]
After the filling is completed, when the piston 45 of the cylinder 41 is set to the forward limit, the valve pin 35 is pushed out, and the front end portion 35d follows the center guide 25 to close the gate hole 22. At this time, since the flexible portion 35c of the valve pin 35 is flexible, it can operate smoothly even in a curved state.
[0018]
Next, the mold is opened, and the product is taken out. However, since the gate hole 22 is closed by the tip 35d of the valve pin 35, the molten material in the material flow path 12 adheres to the product, causing a thread break phenomenon. Nothing.
[0019]
At this time, there is a slight clearance between the sliding hole 32 of the guide sleeve 31 and the intermediate portion 35b of the valve pin 35, and the molten material enters the clearance by the injection pressure generated in the material flow path 12. However, as the temperature increases above the guide sleeve 31, the distance from the heating section increases, and the temperature decreases due to the heat radiation effect of the fin section 31a. Therefore, the molten material is cooled, solidified, and sealed. Therefore, the molten material does not leak outside.
[0020]
Further, by changing the valve opening / closing timing of the plurality of valve gates 1 and 1, the filling balance from each gate hole 22 to the cavity 8 can be adjusted.
[0021]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the valve gate of the present invention has the following advantages. (1) The air cylinder is disposed at a position independent of the manifold block except at the position directly above the gate. Not required, (2) Can be placed directly below the molding machine nozzle, (3) Reduced height space, (4) Easy to assemble and maintain, (2) Material flow except for a small area at the tip of valve pin (5) The flow resistance (pressure loss) is small due to being independent of the path, and especially the flow resistance can be kept almost constant even if the total length of the valve gate is long. (3) The sliding range of the valve pin (6) Prevention of material leakage by providing cooling fins, and (4) Excellent effect of (7) Inexpensiveness due to simple structure.
