Abstract
Description
【0001】

The present invention relates to a coin management device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in stores that sell goods and services, a coin depositing and dispensing machine is provided to manage change reserves required for cash sales. Generally, a cash register is provided at a checkout station in a store, and a cashier or the like in charge of the checkout of the store stores cash received from a customer as money in the register machine and needs cash as change. Cash is taken out of the cash register and handed over to the customer. Most of the change is coins, and in order to prevent the change from occurring and the receipt of money from the customer from being delayed, coins of each denomination, that is, one yen, are provided in advance as change reserves. After counting coins, five-yen coins, ten-yen coins, fifty-yen coins, hundred-yen coins, and five hundred-yen coins, the coins are sorted and stored in the register machine (for example, Patent Document 1). reference.).
[0003]
In this case, since the operation of counting and managing loose coins, that is, coins that are separated one by one, is a time-consuming operation, managing the change reserve using the coin depositing and dispensing machine. That is, a predetermined amount of change reserve is paid out. In the coin depositing and dispensing machine, a plurality of denominations of loose coins can be deposited at a time, and a plurality of denominations of different types of coins can be mixed in the dispensing of a required amount of change reserve. It is supposed to be paid out.
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional coin depositing and dispensing machine, change reserves could not be properly managed. However, when paying out the change reserve, only the specified number of coins and the required number of coins will be paid out for each denomination, so even if you use the conventional coin deposit and withdrawal machine, For example, by sorting coins into one denomination and paying them out, it is possible to realize the task of sorting out and paying out coins as required change reserves.
[0006]
However, when the day's business at the store ends and the change fund stored in the register machine is collected, the remaining cash reserve prepared at the start of the operation and the day-to-day sales proceeds are stored in the register machine. And are mixed.
[0007]
At the end of a business day, part of the change reserve prepared with coins at the start of business is replaced by banknotes. This bill needs to be exchanged at a bank or the like and returned to coins for business the next day. Therefore, when cash is collected from the register machine, it is necessary to sort the collected cash according to the counting result, which is troublesome.
[0008]
The present invention solves the above-mentioned conventional problems, and it is possible to distinguish the remaining balance of the change reserve from the sales amount only by depositing coins collected from the cash register machine at the end of a business day, and An object of the present invention is to provide a coin management device capable of indicating the amount of money to be exchanged from bills to coins for use as a change reserve of the day.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore, in the coin management device of the present invention, it is a coin management device that counts and manages coins, a plurality of coin dispensing units that dispenses coins, a depositing unit that counts deposited coins, and the dispensing unit. A data storage unit for storing the amount of coins, and an operation unit for performing an operation based on the amount of the fed-out coins and the amount of the received coins. Based on the amount of coins paid out and the amount of coins collected and deposited from the cash register, an amount considered to be a part of the sales proceeds in the cash register is calculated and output.
[0010]
In another coin management device of the present invention, a coin management device that performs counting and management of coins, a plurality of coin payout units that pay out coins, a deposit unit that counts deposited coins, and the fed coins A data storage unit for storing the amount of coins paid out and an operation unit for performing an operation based on the amount of the fed coins and the amount of the deposited coins. The operation unit is fed out to be stored in a register machine. Based on the amount of coins collected and the amount of coins collected and deposited from the register machine, the amount of coins collected as banknotes among the coins stored in the register machine is calculated and output.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[0012]
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a coin management device provided in a store according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0013]
As shown in the figure, the store 11 is provided with register machines 12a to 12d for counting sales and storing sales and the like. The number of the register machines 12a to 12d may be singular or plural, and can be set arbitrarily. Here, the store 11 is, for example, a store such as a convenience store, a supermarket, a department store, or a restaurant such as a restaurant or a coffee shop, but any store that sells products and services. Is also good.
[0014]
When the customer who visits the store 11 purchases a product or service sold in the store 11 and pays for the cash, the register machines 12a to 12d take charge of the cash settlement operation such as a cashier in the store 11. This device is operated by a user to input the price as the sales amount of goods and services, to total the total sales amount, and to store the cash received from the customer as the payment amount. The person in charge takes out cash required as change from the register machines 12a to 12d and hands it to the customer. In this case, the coins are sorted by denomination and stored in the drawers of the register machines 12a to 12d.
[0015]
Further, the register units 12a to 12d may function as POS terminals in a so-called POS (Point of Sales) system. In this case, not only the sales amount but also sales information such as product items for each product or service purchased by the customer is input to the register machines 12a to 12d. In this case, the store 11 is provided with a
[0016]
Further, the
[0017]
The store 11 is provided with a change management device 17 as a coin management device. The change management device 17 stores and manages change funds set in the register machines 12a to 12d of the store 11. That is, a change reserve for several days required for business in the store 11 is stored in the change management device 17, and the person in charge of the store 11 sends the necessary amount of change preparation from the change management device 17 as necessary. The money can be dispensed and set in the register machines 12a to 12d.
[0018]
Further, the person in charge collects the change reserve remaining in the register machines 12a to 12d and deposits the change reserve into the change management device 17. Then, when the collected change reserve is deposited, the change management device 17 counts the collected change reserve, and based on the difference between the first change-out change collected and the collected change reserve. Perform payment processing. The change funds can be managed in units of the register machines 12a to 12d, and the person in charge of managing each of the register machines 12a to 12d can adjust and change the change reserve for each of the register machines 12a to 12d in charge. Can manage.
[0019]
The change management device 17 is connected to a monitoring center 19 via a communication line 18. The monitoring center 19 collects the operation information of the change management device 17 via the communication line 18 and replenishes when the change reserve is insufficient, and monitors when the change management device 17 is attacked by robbery or the like. I do.
[0020]
The change reserve includes 1-yen coins, 5-yen coins, 10-yen coins, 50-yen coins, 100-yen coins and 500-yen coins, and 1,000-yen, 2,000-yen and 5,000-yen coins. You need a banknote. There are six kinds of coins, and the number of coins to be prepared is 50 to 100 per general register machine depending on the kind of coins, and it takes time and effort to manage the coins. On the other hand, in the case of banknotes, it is sufficient to prepare about 10 to 20 thousand yen banknotes and several 2,000 yen banknotes and 5,000 yen banknotes per general register machine, so it takes time to manage. There is no. Therefore, in order to reduce the cost of the change management device 17, it is desirable that the bills as change funds be managed manually and the coins only be managed by the change management device 17.
[0021]
Thus, in the present embodiment, a case will be described in which the change management device 17 manages only coins.

[0081]
Here, a description will be given from the preparation before opening the store to the replacement of a person in charge of payment settlement work such as a cashier during the business, and the closing after closing the store.
[0082]
First, preparations before opening the store will be described.
[0083]
In this case, the cash in the drawers of the register machines 12a to 12d has been emptied the day before. Therefore, it is necessary to set a change reserve in the register machines 12a to 12d before opening.
[0084]
First, the person in charge A at the time of opening the store inserts his ID card into the

The "individual withdrawal" is an operation for designating the number of coins of each denomination each time and paying out the coins, and is used, for example, when replenishing change during the course of business when shortage occurs.
[0089]
Further, "clerk deposit" is an operation of depositing the change management device 17 while counting coins and the like in the drawers of the register machines 12a to 12d. For example, when change is excessive during business, for example, It is used, for example, when depositing some coins in the drawers of the register machines 12a to 12d into the change management device 17.
[0090]
The “inquirer inquiry” is an operation of displaying the operation history of the payment and the payment, and printing the receipt on the receipt. It is possible to check the progress of payment and payment during a specific period.
[0091]
In addition, the “clerk settlement” means that after collecting all coins in the drawers of the register machines 12a to 12d, depositing the coins into the change management device 17 while counting them, the person in charge in the current business first starts. This is an operation for summing up and paying out all payout and depositing operations after dispensing the change reserve, and is used, for example, when the work of the person in charge of the day has finished.

In this way, change preparation before the opening of the store is completed. Then, when the store is opened, the person in charge A uses this change reserve to perform the payment settlement business.
[0100]
Next, a description will be given of the operation of replacing the payment settlement business in the middle of business, that is, the operation of replacing the payment settlement business in the register machines 12a to 12d with another person in charge.
[0101]
Conventionally, when a person in charge is replaced, the person taking over the work, the person in charge A who has been performing the work so far, and the person in charge B who takes over the work are present together, counting all cash in the register machine 12a, Check your balance. At this time, the balance is the sum of the change reserve prepared before the opening of the store and the sales from the opening of the store until the handover. In this case, by operating the register machine 12a, the total sales from the opening of the store until that time can be output. However, it is necessary for two persons in charge of taking over to count and check the cash together, which takes a great deal of time, and in the meantime, the payment operation in the register machine 12a is stopped. Will also cause trouble.
[0102]
When the change management device 17 according to the present embodiment is used, there is no need for two persons to collectively count cash, and there is no need to stop the payment processing in the register machine 12a.
[0103]
The person in charge B, who has newly taken over the payment settlement business, withdraws the change reserve used by himself from the change management device 17. Note that the operation of dispensing the change reserve is the same as the case of the person in charge A, and a description thereof will be omitted.

In this way, the takeover of the payment settlement business in the register machine 12a is completed. Therefore, the stoppage time of the cash settlement operation in the register machine 12a is only the time for the person in charge A to withdraw cash from the register machine 12a and the time for the person in charge B to store the change reserve from the dispensing
[0107]
On the other hand, the person in charge A brings the cash raised from the cash register 12a and the receipt printed with the sales amount issued from the cash register 12a to the place where the change management device 17 is provided. Then, only the coins of the cash are deposited into the change management device 17 and settled.
[0108]
Next, the procedure of the settlement by the person in charge A will be described.

[0112]
Here, the movement of cash in the register machine 12a will be described.
[0113]
First, at the start of business, the person in charge A stores the change reserve in the cash register 12a. Here, as shown in FIG. 18, it is assumed that a change reserve and a change bill reserve are stored. In this case, coins as change reserves and 1,000-yen bills as change reserves were stored in the register machine 12a.
[0114]
Then, when the payment settlement business is started, the sales amount is deposited into the cash register 12a, and the bills and change are paid out. When the cash settlement operation is completed, a change reserve, a change bill reserve, and a sales amount are stored in the register machine 12a, but the change settlement operation and the change amount of the change bill reserve are started. The same as when However, the change was that all change funds at the start of the payment settlement business were coins, but at the end of business, they would be bills and coins. Similarly, the bill reserve (thousand-yen bills) will be bills other than the thousand-yen bill and 1,000-yen bills at the end of the payment settlement operation.
[0115]
On the other hand, the sales amount is 0 at the start of the payment settlement business, but is an amount according to the sales amount, and is constituted by bills and coins. In the settlement of the register machine 12a, the change management device 17 receives a mixture of the change balance (coins) and the sales (coins) at the end of the settlement operation.

Here, the settlement amount is represented by the following equation (1).
Settlement amount = Sales (coins) + Change balance (coins) ... Equation (1)
On the other hand, the change reserve (coins) is represented by the following equation (2).
Change reserve (coin) = change balance (banknote) + change balance (coin) ... Equation (2)
The change balance (banknote) is represented by the following equation (3).
Change Balance (Bill) = Change Reserve (Coins)-Change Balance (Coins)
= Change reserve (coin)-(payment amount-sales amount (coin)) ... formula (3)
The change balance (banknote) is an integral multiple of 1,000 yen.
[0118]
Here, assuming that the sales amount (coins) is 0 to 999 yen, the change balance (banknote) is represented by the following equation (4).
Change balance (banknote) = INT [{Change reserve (coins)-
(Payment amount -999) $ / 1000] x 1000 ... Equation (4)
Here, INT (x) is a function that gives only the integer part of x.
[0119]
Further, the sales amount (coins) is represented by the following equation (5).
Sales (coins) = Settlement amount-Change reserve (coins)
= Settlement amount-(Change reserve (coins)-Change balance (banknotes))
= Settlement amount + (Change remaining (banknote)-Change reserve (coin)) ... Equation (5)
The change balance (coins) is expressed by the following equation (6).
Change Balance (Coins) = Change Reserve (Coins)-Change Balance (Bills) ... Equation (6)
For example, in the present embodiment, it is assumed that the change fund is 8,870 yen. Then, assuming that the settlement amount is 2981 yen, the change balance (banknote) is substituted into Expression (4),
Change balance (banknote) = INT [{8870-(2981-999)} / 1000] x 1000
= INT (6889) x 1000
= 6000
And the proceeds (coins) are substituted into equation (5),
Sales (coins) = 2981 + 6000-8870
= 111
And the change balance (coins) is substituted into equation (6),
Change balance (coins) = 8870-6000
= 2870
It becomes.

Then, the person in charge A gives the receipt and the bill at hand (in this case, 94,000 yen) to a person in charge of the store 11 such as a store manager, and completes the work. The error is subtracted from the change fund.
[0127]
In this way, the settlement of the person in charge A can be performed away from the register machine 12a, so that the settlement work of the cash register 12a is not hindered. In addition, since the change having a large number can be counted by the change management device 17, the bill A having a small number can be counted by the person in charge A himself during the waiting time during the counting of coins, so that an efficient settlement is performed. be able to.

When the one-day business in the store 11 ends in this way, the person in charge of the store 11 closes the sales of the store 11 on the day. In this case, the daily sales of the entire store 11 can be totalized by operating the register machines 12a to 12d or the

Further, the “inquiry setting” is used to inquire the operation history of the change management device 17 by day or by person in charge, and to set various settings, for example, the set number of “set
[0133]
Here, it is assumed that there are only two persons in charge of the payment settlement business, the person in charge A and the person in charge B. If the result of the settlement of the person in charge A and the person in charge B is as shown in FIGS. 22 and 23, the person in charge presses the function key 25f corresponding to "close" to change the change. The device 17 issues a receipt as shown in FIG.
[0134]
As shown in FIG. 25, the settlement result is a total of the settlement for each of the register machines 12a to 12d. The total of the coins is the sum of the coins for each of the register machines 12a to 12d, but the sum is different from the sum of the coins. In the present embodiment, the total sales (coins) of the person in charge A (111 yen) and the person in charge B (952 yen) is 1063 yen, and when the sales amount exceeds 1,000 yen, the change balance (1000 yen) is used. Coins).
[0135]
Similarly, in the bill breakdown, 1000 yen is transferred from the sum of change balance (bank bill) to the sum of sales. When the sales proceeds are put together in this process, they can be collected by banknotes.
[0136]
As described above, in the present embodiment, the change of the day is completed only by collecting the cash from the register machines 12a to 12d after the business day ends and depositing the coins in the register machines 12a to 12d into the change management device 17. A distinction can be made between the balance of the reserve and the sales.
[0137]
Further, it is possible to indicate the amount of change reserve money that must be exchanged for coins at banks or the like instead of banknotes.
[0138]
It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, but can be variously modified based on the gist of the present invention, and they are not excluded from the scope of the present invention.
[0139]
【The invention's effect】
As described above in detail, according to the present invention, the balance of the change reserve and the sales amount can be distinguished only by depositing coins collected from the register machine at the end of the business day, and The amount to be exchanged from bills to coins can be indicated for use as daily change reserves.
