Description

【0001】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Although it is possible to determine the authenticity of a forgery-preventing printed matter using a conventional digital watermark, more reliable authenticity determination is desired in order to cope with forgery due to improvement in electronic technology. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been developed to meet such a demand, and an object of the present invention is to provide a forgery prevention printed material using a digital watermark in which the authenticity of authenticity is further improved.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve this object, a printed material for preventing forgery using a digital watermark according to claim 1 of the present invention is obtained by printing information in the form of a digital watermark for authenticity discrimination with a dropout color ink. .
[0006]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment in the case where the present invention is applied to an entrance permit will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Here, FIG. 1 is a plan view of the entrance permit, FIG. 2 is an explanatory view showing a procedure for creating the entrance permit, and FIG. 3 is an explanatory view showing a procedure for determining whether the entrance permit is true or false.
[0007]
As shown in FIG. 1, an entry permit 1 which is a printed matter for preventing forgery permits entry into a research facility of a company, and is formed in a card shape. On one side of the card base material 2, a title 3, an issue number 4, a name of a holder who is a subject of permission 5, an expiration date 6, an issuer display 7 as a person in charge of the research facility, an imprint of the issuer 8, a company symbol Mark 9 is printed. The digital watermark form information for authenticity discrimination uses the above-mentioned issue number 4, which is printed with dropout color ink and embedded in the imprinter 8 of the issuer. The information in the digital watermark form for authenticity discrimination cannot be identified by the naked eye.
[0008]
Next, a procedure for creating the above-mentioned entrance permit 1 will be described with reference to FIG. Note that the arrows in FIG. 2 indicate the flow of data. Creation of the entrance permit 1 is performed by the digital watermark image data generating means 10, the print data generating means 11, and the printing means 12. Each of these means 10, 11, and 12 can be constituted by software and hardware of a known data processing system such as a computer and a workstation.
[0009]
The watermark image data generating means 10 inputs an issue number 4 which is information for making a digital watermark form and a publisher imprint 8 which is an image in which the issue number 4 is embedded, and digital watermark image data having information of the digital watermark form To generate the data of the imprinter 8 in which the issue number 4 is embedded.
[0010]
The print output data generating means 11 includes digital watermark image data generated by the digital watermark image data generating means 10 and general print data to be printed on the card base material 2 other than the digital watermark image data, that is, the title 3, the owner name 5, the expiration date 6, the issuer display 7, and the symbol mark 9 are edited to generate print output data in a form to be printed out on the card base material 2. As described above, the print output data generation unit 11 is an editing system that edits and processes various types of data that are materials to be printed on the card base material 2.
[0011]
The printing means 12 is for inputting the print data generated by the print data generating means 11 and performing print output on the card base material 2. An appropriate one can be selected from known printers and used. The information in the form of a watermark is printed with a drop-out color ink, which cannot be read by a scanner reading with normal white light, but becomes readable by reading with monochromatic light corresponding to the color. Print with normal printing ink. Then, the entrance permit 1 is created by printing on the card base material 2, and the information in the form of the digital watermark is embedded in the imprint 8 of the issuer. The issuer's seal 8 makes it more difficult to view.
[0012]
Next, a procedure for determining the authenticity of the entrance permit 1 configured as described above will be described with reference to FIG. Note that the arrows in FIG. 3 indicate the flow of data. First, the imprinter 8 having the issue number 4 of the entrance permit 1 embedded therein is read by the scanner 20. The read image data is input to the image information reading means 21 and the image information reading means 21 generates image information. At this time, since the scanner 20 cannot read the digital watermark form issue number 4 printed with the dropout color ink, the digital watermark form issue number 4 does not exist in the generated image information.
[0013]
The image information is input from the image information reading means 21 to the digital watermark issue number extracting means 22, and the issue number 4 in the form of a digital watermark is extracted. Become. Therefore, when the digital watermark issue number 4 extracted by the digital watermark issue number extraction unit 22 is input to the authenticity discrimination unit 23, the issue number 4 is printed with normal printing ink. Therefore, the authenticity discriminating means 23 outputs a judgment that the entry permit 1 is forged, and if the issue number 4 in the digital watermark form is not input, the authenticity discriminating means 23 outputs Proof 1 outputs a tentative determination of authenticity.
[0014]
If the entry permit 1 is provisionally determined to be authentic, the drop-out color ink printing / imaging means 24 further reads the issuer seal 8 in which the issue number 4 of the entry permit 1 is embedded. The reading by the drop-out color ink printing / imaging means 24 and the reading by the above-described scanner 20 may be performed in the reverse order. The drop-out color ink printing / imaging means 24 may use a scanner that performs reading with monochromatic light according to the color of the used drop-out color ink. The read image data is input to the image information reading means 21 in the same manner as described above, and the image information reading means 21 generates image information. At this time, since the dropout color ink printing / imaging means 24 can read the digital watermark form issue number 4 printed with the dropout color ink, the generated image information includes the digital watermark form issue number 4 Exists.
[0015]
The image information is input from the image information reading means 21 to the digital watermark issue number extracting means 22, and the digital watermark form issue number 4 is extracted. . Therefore, the issue number 4 in the digital watermark form extracted by the electronic watermark issue number extraction means 22 is input to the authenticity discrimination means 23, and if this coincides with the separately input issue number 4, the authenticity discrimination means 23 Outputs a final determination that the entry permit 1 is authentic. If the issue number 4 in the digital watermark form is not input or does not match the issue number 4 that has been separately input, the authenticity determination means 23 This entrance permit 1 outputs a judgment of forgery.
[0016]
Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment. For example, the information in the digital watermark form is not limited to the issue number 4, but may be information in which the owner name 5 is encoded. Further, information in the form of a digital watermark may be embedded in the symbol mark 9 instead of the imprint 8 of the publisher. Further, it goes without saying that the present invention can be applied to printed materials other than the entrance permit 1.
[0017]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the forgery prevention printed matter using the digital watermark information according to claim 1 of the present invention, the information in the digital watermark form is read by the imaging means capable of reading the dropout color ink used for printing. If it is possible to do so and if it cannot be read by a normal scanner, it is identified as a genuine printed matter, so it is possible to easily and reliably determine the authenticity and contribute to the prevention of forgery. It works.
