Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a belt-type continuously variable transmission of a type in which a power transmission belt is wound between a pair of variable pulleys having variable groove widths and power is transmitted, and particularly to the power transmission belt.
[0002]
[Prior art]
BACKGROUND ART A belt-type continuously variable transmission of a type in which a transmission belt is wound between a pair of variable pulleys having variable groove widths and power is transmitted is used for a vehicle drive device or the like. This belt-type continuously variable transmission is provided to the input-side variable pulley by frictional force between a contact surface of an element of the transmission belt wound around the variable pulley and a sheave surface of the variable pulley that is in contact with the element. The transmitted torque is transmitted to the output side variable pulley. For this reason, prevention of slip between the elements of the transmission belt and the variable pulley, improvement of transmission efficiency, improvement of durability of friction surfaces, and the like are desired.
[0003]
On the other hand, by making the contact surface of the element of the transmission belt and the sheave surface of the variable pulley to have a surface roughness of 3 to 10 μmRz by using shot peening, the mutual contact surface between the element of the transmission belt and the variable pulley is reduced. Since the wear amount is reduced, the durability of the belt-type continuously variable transmission is increased, and the friction coefficient at the mutual contact surface between the elements of the transmission belt and the variable pulley is increased, so that the allowable transmission torque is increased, and the torque is rapidly increased. There has been proposed a technique in which the transmission belt is prevented from slipping at the time or the like, or the belt-type continuously variable transmission can be made smaller than before. For example, this is described in Patent Document 1.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in recent years, as a belt-type continuously variable transmission for vehicles, high transmission torque capacity accompanying high output and high torque of an engine, and small size and light weight for improving environment and space efficiency have been increasingly required in recent years. . For this purpose, it is necessary to further increase the friction coefficient between the element of the transmission belt and the variable pulley, but at present, when the element of the transmission belt and the variable pulley are lubricated with the lubricating oil, they are included in the lubricating oil. Since the additive forms a reaction film on the contact surface and suppresses abrasion, rust and the like, the friction coefficient of the contact surface cannot be sufficiently improved, and the friction coefficient μ is only μ = 0.1 or more.
[0006]
In addition, it is conceivable that high torque is transmitted by increasing the pressure with which the variable pulley sandwiches the transmission belt. In this case, however, the amount of wear on the contact surface increases, and the durability of the belt-type continuously variable transmission can be sufficiently obtained. May not be present, and wear may reduce the coefficient of friction.
[0007]
In addition, as a belt-type continuously variable transmission for vehicles, quietness has been increasingly required in recent years in terms of ride comfort and noise problems. In particular, when the transmission belt is a tension transmission belt, the pitch of the elements constituting the belt is relatively large as compared with the compression transmission belt, and at the entrance where the element contacts the variable pulley, the element is intermittent with respect to the variable pulley. As a result, the noise due to the collision increases.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to obtain a high coefficient of friction on a contact surface between a transmission belt and a variable pulley, with a small amount of abrasion and a low noise level. It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved transmission belt for a belt-type continuously variable transmission.

[Means for Solving the Problems]
The gist of the present invention for achieving this object is a transmission belt for a belt-type continuously variable transmission that is wound around a pair of variable pulleys having variable groove widths for power transmission, It consists of a material in which a short fiber material and a powder material are mixed as a filler with a thermosetting resin material as a material, and a resin coating adhered to a contact surface that comes into contact with a variable pulley of an element constituting the transmission belt. , I have prepared.
[0010]
【The invention's effect】
In this way, the contact surface with the variable pulley becomes a resin coating, and furthermore the strength, abrasion resistance, and the like by mixing the short fiber material in addition to the properties of the thermosetting resin itself which is the base material of the resin coating. Since the friction coefficient is increased and the friction coefficient is further increased by mixing the powder material, the strength can be increased and the high friction coefficient can be obtained while sufficiently suppressing the wear amount.
[0011]
As a result, at the mutual contact surface between the element of the transmission belt and the variable pulley, while ensuring the durability, the variable pulley secures sufficient strength against the pressure pinching the element of the transmission belt, and the friction coefficient is increased. In addition, the allowable transmission torque can be further increased, the slip of the transmission belt can be prevented when the torque suddenly increases, or the belt-type continuously variable transmission can be configured to be smaller and lighter than before.
[0012]
Further, by using a short fiber material for the fiber material serving as a filler, a fixing method such as dipping or spray coating suitable for mass production can be used in a manufacturing process of fixing a resin film to an element of a power transmission belt. .
[0013]
Other aspects of the invention
Here, preferably, the resin coating is made of a material containing the thermosetting resin material as a base material in a weight ratio of 50% or more. With this configuration, the strength of the resin film is ensured, so that the resin film is not broken by the pressure of the variable pulley sandwiching the elements of the transmission belt.
[0014]
Preferably, the resin coating is made of a material containing 5-30% by weight of the short fiber material as the filler and 5-30% by weight of the powder material. is there. By doing so, the friction coefficient and wear resistance can be enhanced while ensuring the strength of the resin film.
[0015]
Preferably, the resin coating is made of a material further containing at least one of a hard particle material and a self-lubricating agent as the filler. In this case, the friction coefficient and abrasion resistance are further enhanced by the hard particle material, and the stability of the friction coefficient with respect to speed can be ensured by the self-lubricating agent.
[0016]
Preferably, the element is made of metal, and the thermosetting resin material constituting the base material of the resin film fixed to a contact surface that comes into contact with the variable pulley is any one of a phenol resin and an epoxy resin. Is. In this case, the phenolic resin or the epoxy resin has a strong adhesive force to the metal, while the phenolic resin or the epoxy resin has a strong adhesive force with respect to the force for peeling off the resin film caused by the frictional force acting on the contact surface between the element and the variable pulley. When the belt-type continuously variable transmission is used, a sufficient adhesive force can be ensured so that the resin coating does not peel off from the element. Also, in the manufacturing process of fixing the resin film to the element, a pretreatment for strengthening the adhesive force, such as a precoat, is not required, and the phenol resin or the epoxy resin itself is relatively low cost among thermosetting resins. Therefore, the manufacturing cost can be reduced. Furthermore, since the base material itself has excellent wear resistance, reinforcement with a filler is facilitated.
[0017]
Preferably, the short fiber material includes at least one of glass fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber, and copper fiber. By doing so, the strength and wear resistance of glass fiber, carbon fiber and aramid fiber can be further improved. In particular, the effect of the aramid fiber is large even in a small amount. Further, the copper fiber can further improve not only the wear resistance but also the coefficient of friction.
[0018]
Preferably, the powder material contains at least one of cashew dust, iron powder, copper powder, barium sulfate, calcium carbonate, zirconium silicate, and zirconium silicate rubber coat. By doing so, the coefficient of friction can be further improved. In addition, these are intended to improve the coefficient of friction by adhesion rather than as an abrasive, and the resin coating does not increase the wear of the sheave surface of the variable pulley in contact with the element.
[0019]
Preferably, the filler is alumina (Al) as the hard particle material. 2 O 3 ), Silica (SiO 2 ), Cemented carbide (WC), chromium carbide (Cr 3 C 2 ), Silicon carbide (SiC), chromium iron carbide (FeCrC), and at least one of graphite, molybdenum disulfide and ethylene tetrafluoride as the self-lubricating agent. In this way, alumina, silica, WC, Cr 3 C 2 , SiC and FeCrC can further improve the coefficient of friction and the wear resistance. In addition, graphite, molybdenum disulfide, and ethylene tetrafluoride can further secure the stability of the friction coefficient with respect to speed.
[0020]
Preferably, the thickness of the resin coating is 0.1 mm to 1 mm. In this case, when the thickness is 0.1 mm or more, a sufficient thickness for the wear amount is secured, and the performance of the transmission belt is maintained. When the thickness is 1 mm or less, the function of the transmission belt is impaired because the thickness is too large. In addition, the production cost can be kept low without excessive quality.
[0021]
Preferably, the transmission belt for the belt-type continuously variable transmission includes: (a) an endless annular hoop and a thick-plate-shaped block which is formed as a plurality of the elements in the thickness direction along the hoop. Or (b) a link plate and a connecting pin as the element, wherein the ends of the alternately stacked link plates are connected to each other by the connecting pin. This is a tension type transmission belt which forms an endless ring link chain. With this configuration, since the resin coating is fixed to the contact surface of the element with the variable pulley, the strength can be increased and the high coefficient of friction can be obtained while sufficiently suppressing the amount of wear. In addition, compared to the case where the contact surface of the element with the variable pulley is made of metal, the resin coating has a smaller elastic modulus and thus suppresses the impact at the time of contact with the variable pulley, so that noise can be reduced. . In particular, in the case of the tension type transmission belt, the effect is reduced because the impact force is reduced with respect to the intermittent collision at the entrance where the element contacts the variable pulley. Also, in the manufacturing process of the belt-type continuously variable transmission, only a step of attaching a resin coating to the element portion of the transmission belt is added, so both the contact surface of the element and the sheave surface of the variable pulley are surface-treated. The manufacturing cost can be reduced as compared with the case where the processing is performed to improve the performance.
[0022]
Also, preferably, the element is made of metal, and a projection, a dent, or an unevenness is formed on the contact surface that comes into contact with the variable pulley, and the resin coating is formed of the projection, the dent, or the like. Alternatively, it is fixed on the unevenness. By doing so, the adhesion area between the contact surface and the resin coating becomes larger, and the force for peeling off the resin coating generated by the frictional force acting on the mutual contact surface between the element and the pulley, Sufficient adhesive strength can be ensured so that the resin coating does not peel off during use of the belt-type continuously variable transmission.
[0023]
Preferably, the element is made of metal, and the contact surface that comes into contact with the variable pulley has a hole formed therein, and a surface substantially perpendicularly adjacent to the contact surface formed with the hole. Is formed with a second hole communicating with the hole, and the resin coating is caused to flow so that the material fills the hole and the inside of the second hole by injection molding, It is fixed to the contact surface and a surface substantially perpendicularly adjacent to the contact surface, and is also integrated with the material flowing into the hole and the second hole. With this configuration, the resin coating adhered to the contact surface and the surface substantially perpendicularly adjacent to the contact surface has a structure in which the resin adhered through the inside of the element is unified and cannot be removed. When the belt-type continuously variable transmission is used, a sufficient adhesive force that does not cause the resin film to peel off against the force that peels off the resin film caused by the frictional force acting on the mutual contact surface between the belt and the variable pulley. Can be secured.

[0035]
In this embodiment, as the short fiber material, a fiber material having an average fiber diameter of about 0.3 to 30.0 μm and a fiber length of about 0.01 to 6 mm is used. In particular, Table 2 shows the shape of the short fiber material shown in Table 1. The cashew dust of the powder material shown in Table 1 is obtained by purifying a shell liquid (cashew oil) extracted from cashew nut shells as a main component, adding a crosslinking agent (formaldehyde, hexamine, furfural, etc.), polymerizing and curing. , Obtained by pulverizing the solidified material. The copper powder uses CuSn, CuP or the like.

In Table 1, the resin serving as the base material of the
[0038]
On the other hand, the sample No. containing a phenol resin or an epoxy resin as a thermosetting resin in a weight ratio of 50% or more. In Nos. 1 to 15, good results were obtained in all of the friction coefficient, the wear amount and the strength characteristics. Further, the sample No. With Nos. 16 to 18, good results were not obtained in the amount of wear and strength characteristics. This is due to the fact that the weight ratio of the phenol resin as the base material is less than 50%, so that a strong molded product can be obtained by mixing the phenol resin, that is, the thermosetting resin with the filler. Conceivable. From this result, it is considered that a thermosetting resin is suitable for the resin serving as the base material, and the mixing ratio is required to be at least 50% or more by weight.
[0039]
Further, the sample No. It is considered that the reason why the wear amount was 50 μm and the numerical value of the limit of judging the usability in 14 was that the weight ratio of the short fiber material and the powder material as the filler was as small as 5% each. From this result, it is considered that the short fiber material and the powder material, which are fillers, need to be at least 5% or more by weight, respectively. Further, the sample No. Sample No. 1 contains 30% of short fiber material, In No. 11, 30% of powder material is mixed. From these results, it is considered that in the case where the resin serving as the base material is mixed at 50% or more, good results can be obtained with the short fiber material or the powder material if the mixing ratio is within 30%.
[0040]
Further, the sample No. 1 and sample no. Comparison of Sample No. 2 It is considered that the reason why the wear amount of No. 1 is suppressed to half or less is that the short fiber material as the filler is more mixed. From this result, it is considered that the short fiber material is effective in improving the wear resistance.
[0041]
Further, the sample No. 16 and sample no. Sample No. 18 is a sample No. 17, Sample No. 19 and sample no. It is considered that the reason why the coefficient of friction is improved as compared with 20 is that the powder material is mixed. From this result, it is considered that the powder material is effective for improving the coefficient of friction. Although not shown in Table 1, the same effect can be obtained with iron powder such as FeC and SUS, zirconium silicate, and zirconium silicate rubber coat.
[0042]
Further, the sample No. 9 and sample no. Comparing Sample No. 10 with Sample No. 10 In No. 10, the coefficient of friction is improved, and the amount of wear is suppressed to less than half. This is because the hard particle material as the filler is mixed more and the aramid fiber of the short fiber material is mixed. It is thought that it is because. From these results, it is considered that the hard particle material has an effect of further improving the friction coefficient and the abrasion resistance, and the aramid fiber of the short fiber material has a large effect of improving the abrasion resistance even in a small amount. Hard particle materials are not shown in Table 1, but Cr 3 C 2 , SiC have the same effect.
[0043]
Further, the sample No. 3 and sample no. Comparing Sample No. 6 with Sample No. 6 6 is that the friction coefficient is the same despite the fact that the combined weight ratio of the powder material and the hard particles that are effective in improving the friction coefficient is small, because the copper fibers are mixed. Conceivable. As a result, it is considered that the copper fiber of the short fiber material is effective not only for improving the wear resistance but also for improving the friction coefficient.
[0044]
Further, the sample No. 4 and sample no. 7 was compared with Sample No. 7. In No. 4, it is considered that the reason why the improvement in the coefficient of friction was suppressed and the amount of wear was reduced to half or less was that graphite, a self-lubricating agent as a filler, was mixed. From this result, it is considered that the self-lubricating agent has an effect of ensuring the stability of the friction coefficient with respect to speed by lubricating the contact surface. Although the self-lubricating agent is not shown in Table 1, the same effect is obtained with molybdenum disulfide and ethylene tetrafluoride.
