Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an ink supply tube, and more particularly, to an ink supply tube for connecting an ink tank and a printing unit in an ink jet printer.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Ink jet printers are broadly classified into those with an integrated ink tank and printing section, and those with a separate type where the ink tank and printing section are separated. In the case of the latter type, ink for supplying ink from the ink tank to the printing section is used. A supply tube (for example, an ink supply tube disclosed in Patent Document 1) is required.
[0003]
Such an ink supply tube is required to have durability against the ink passing through the inside and a barrier property for preventing the ink component from evaporating through the wall surface. Further, at the time of printing, the printing section reciprocates in the width direction of the recording paper, so that the ink supply tube is required to have flexibility.
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-9-300652
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the ink supply tube disclosed in the above publications shows sufficient flexibility at normal temperature (about 23 ° C.), but loses flexibility at a low temperature of about 5 ° C. due to a sudden increase in elasticity, and the printing section moves. In some cases, the printing unit may not be driven normally. At a low temperature of about 5 ° C., the tube may be bent due to the reciprocating movement of the printing unit, and the ink passage may be crushed, impeding the flow of the ink or causing the tube to crack.
