本発明は、デジタルカメラ、コンパクトカメラ、一眼レフカメラ、ビデオカメラ等における把持部分を可動にした可動グリップに関する。

【従来の技術】
デジタルカメラ、コンパクトカメラ、一眼レフカメラ、ビデオカメラ等の外装部材に可動グリップを有するものがある。また、可動グリップの位置により、電源のＯＮ／ＯＦＦ切換を行うようにしたものもある。従来の可動グリップは、正面の外装面に取付けているだけであった。

これに対し、カメラボデイの側面位置から後面位置に亘って回動可能にした可動グリツプを備えたカメラもある（例えば、特許文献１参照。）。この技術は、カメラの携帯の有利性を高めるために、カメラボデイの小型化、薄型化が進められている実情に鑑み、小型化、薄型化が極端に進められて、カメラのグリップ部の使い勝手が悪くなるのを改善するものである。すなわち、グリップを回動可能にし、カメラの側面側に張出すようにしてグリップ機能を確保しようとするものである。この技術は、モニタ装置とファインダ光学系を有するデジタルカメラの小型化と携帯性を重視した結果、却って意匠性を損うという問題がある。なお、この技術でも、グリップの位置に応じて電源のＯＮ／ＯＦＦ動作をするグリップスイッチを備えている。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、上記問題点を解決するためになされたもので、次の技術手段を講じたことを特徴とする可動グリップである。すなわち、本発明は、カメラの正面側に設けられ横移動するグリップであって、グリップの摺動面をカメラの正面外装面より凹んだ位置に設け、撮影位置では可動グリップが横移動してカメラの正面外装と可動グリップの端面との間に溝を生ずるように形成されていることを特徴とする可動グリップである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下図面を参照して本発明の実施の形態を説明する。図１、２は本発明の実施例の断面図で、可動グリップ１０とカメラ本体１との関係を示す説明図である。可動グリップ１０はカメラ本体１の正面２側に設けられ横移動する。

図１は可動グリップ１０をカメラ本体１の側面５側に移動させた状態を示すものでグリップ把持状態を示している。図２は可動グリップ１０を不使用状態に戻した図である。カメラ本体１の正面２の外装面と可動グリップ１０が摺動移動する面４とは段差があり、摺動移動する面４はカメラ本体１の正面２の外装面より凹んでいる。可動グリップ１０がカメラ１の側面５側に移動したとき、移動距離３は、形成される溝内にグリップを把持した指の先が入る幅となるような大きさとする。そして、この溝の底となる部分、つまりグリップが摺動移動する面４には、指の滑り止めを施しておくと好ましい。滑り止めとしては、ゴム等の摩擦が大きく弾性のあるシート等を添着したものでもよく、ローレット加工などの粗面加工を施したり、エンボス加工などの凹凸処理をしたものでもよい。

【発明の効果】
本発明の可動グリップは以上のように構成されているので、カメラを撮影状態に保持したときに、適切な指掛かりができ、指がすべることがなく、グリップの保持性が著しく向上した。また、カメラ不使用状態の時、カメラの正面外装ラインと可動グリップの側面のラインが一致しているので、見栄えがよく、収納性の向上を図ることができる。
