Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an engine starter for measuring the voltage of a vehicle-mounted battery such as an automobile and starting and charging the engine when the voltage is equal to or lower than a predetermined value.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, an engine starting device is often installed afterwards in a vehicle or the like, and when the engine is started at a time arbitrarily set by a timer or when a start signal issued by a remote control operation is received, the engine is started. In order to start the engine, electric power is supplied from a vehicle-mounted battery to a drive circuit of the starter motor via electrical contacts, and the starter motor is driven to start the engine. In addition, when it is confirmed that the engine has started, the vehicle is kept in an idling state so that the driver can get on after the engine is warmed up and the inside of the vehicle is properly cooled and heated. Therefore, it is necessary to always supply power to the device itself so that the operation can be started at any time in response to a start signal issued unpredictably from the user.
[0003]
This power is supplied from the on-board battery when the engine is stopped, and if this state continues for a long period of time, in addition to spontaneous discharge, the power consumption of the engine starting device causes a decrease in the battery voltage, and the engine starts. There has been a case where a so-called dead battery phenomenon, which is impossible, is caused.
In order to prevent this dead battery condition, conventionally, there is a method of suppressing power consumption such as intermittent supply of power or stopping power supply when the engine is stopped for a long period of one week, for example. It was done.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, as described above, there is a limit in a method of suppressing the power consumption of the engine starting device itself, and even if the power consumption is reduced, it is not enough to prevent the battery running down phenomenon for a long time.
[0005]
The present invention has been proposed in view of the above circumstances, and provides an engine starting device that measures the voltage of a vehicle-mounted battery, starts the engine when the voltage falls below a predetermined voltage, charges the engine, and prevents the occurrence of a dead battery state. The purpose is to:
