Abstract
Description
【0001】
SIMをベースにしていることからUSIM(Universal SIM)と呼ばれることもある。

端子板の端子配置や大きさは一般のICカード規格およびGSM(Global System for Mobile Communications)に準じたものである。
C1はVcc、C2はRST、C3はCLK、C5はGND、C6はVpp、C7はI/O用である。
なお、Vpp(プログラム用可変電圧供給)は実際には使用しない。
【0032】
C1はVcc、C2はRST、C3はCLK、C5はGND、C6はVpp、C7はI/O用である。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a SIM holder with a USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface and a SIM used for the SIM holder.
More specifically, the present invention relates to a SIM (ID module) containing a non-contact IC chip and an antenna detachably, and a SIM holder and a SIM having a non-contact interface and a USB interface.
The SIM holder and the SIM of the present invention can be suitably used particularly for an employee ID system, but the field of application of the present invention is not limited to this.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, an employee ID system using an IC card has been adopted. Due to its high security, it is also used as a network access from a personal computer (PC) or as a door gate path.
In network access, an IC card reader / writer (R / W) is connected to a PC, and access is mainly performed from the IC card R / W as a contact type IC card of an ISO7816 interface.
On the other hand, in the door gate, as a non-contact type IC card of the ISO14443 interface, the IC card is passed over the door gate in which the corresponding non-contact R / W is incorporated.
[0003]
In order to realize this use method, the contact type IC chip and the non-contact type IC chip are respectively incorporated in an external contact terminal plate, thereby connecting to a wireless antenna for non-contact and connecting these two IC chips to one. A hybrid IC card embedded and mounted on one IC card base has also been realized.
[0004]
More recently, a single IC chip having these two contact and non-contact interfaces has appeared, and a dual interface IC card in which an external connection terminal, a wireless antenna and this IC chip are connected, and which is embedded and mounted on a card base, Alternatively, a so-called two-way access IC card has appeared.
[0005]
The present invention relates to this dual interface IC card, and improves the inconvenience of conventional use. As described above, a PC is used for network access, and the R / W for the IC card is connected by RS232C or USB (universal serial bus) interface (connector).
Recently, USB connection has become popular because of its high communication speed and the possibility of plug and play.
[0006]
However, in recent years, PCs are very small and thin, making them easy to carry, and accessible not only from office desks but also from outside (such as semi-public places called customers and hot cafes). Is becoming more and more.
In this case, there is a problem that the R / W for the IC card is carried around in addition to the PC and connected to the PC at the time of use. This is the same in the office (on the desk), and has the same problem.
As a means for solving this, an integrally formed ID module called a dongle having a USB interface has appeared.
[0007]
The present invention relates to such an ID module.
Until now, the ID module, which had been equipped with a USB interface and a microcomputer and was integrally molded, was divided into a SIM and a SIM holder, and the SIM was loaded into the SIM holder and used to realize the ID module. The SIM holder is provided with an antenna coil so that it can be used not only as a USB ID module but also as a non-contact ID module.
Until now, an ID module only for network access can be used as an ID module for a gate pass, and a more suitable employee ID system can be provided.
[0008]
On the other hand, in recent years, a security ID module called a small SIM, UIM, or USIM card has been incorporated in a mobile phone. It has already been put into practical use by being incorporated into the latest mobile phones in Japan.
UIM (User Identity Module) is a small IC card that records contractor information issued by a mobile phone company, and is incorporated in a mobile phone and used to identify a user.
[0009]
This is a function extension from SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) which has the same function. In addition to subscriber information, private information such as a telephone directory and personal identification information for credit settlement are encrypted and registered. Is possible.
Because it is based on SIM, it is sometimes called USIM (Universal SIM). The SIM aims to use the GSM mobile phone service, and the UIM is considered to be used, for example, by inserting it into a cdma2000 mobile phone in the United States to receive an international roaming service.
In any case, such a SIM or UIM has an existing technology, so that manufacturing and issuing processing are easy.
[0010]

[0049]
Next, a method of using the SIM holder will be described.
The issuance of the SIM of the present invention is performed by writing data for authenticating the user, as in the case of issuing a conventional IC card.
By mounting the SIM of the present invention on the SIM holder of the present invention, when it enters a non-contact magnetic field, it functions as a non-contact ID module, and can be used without contact with external devices such as a door gate and a ticket gate.
Also, when connected to a USB connector of a PC, it functions as a USB interface ID module. If authenticated, network access becomes possible, and access by unauthorized persons can be eliminated. At this time, the IC card R / W is not required unlike the case of the conventional IC card.
[0050]
【The invention's effect】
The SIM holder according to the present invention comprises an ID module, which is conventionally provided with a USB interface and a microcomputer and is integrally formed, is divided into a SIM and a SIM holder, and is used by loading the SIM into the SIM holder. And the SIM holder is provided with an antenna coil, so that it can be used not only as a USB ID module but also as a non-contact ID module.
Therefore, an ID module for network access only can be used as an ID module for a gate path or a door gate, which is more suitable as an employee ID system.
[0051]
The SIM of the present invention is a conventional IC card obtained by bridging the SIM (processing in which the SIM is formed in a wallet-size card shape and is held in a planar state by three to four small connecting bridges). There is the convenience that it can be manufactured by the manufacturing method.
Further, there is an advantage that a personalized issuance process that is performed before removing a bridge-processed SIM from a wallet-sized IC card form body as in the past can be performed as before.
The SIM part, especially on the back side of the terminal, can be used for face photo processing, name print, and number print. A small SIM shape ID module can be made. If the SIM holder is made of a transparent plastic material, The holder itself becomes an ID module that allows the face photograph to be visually recognized.
