現在市販されているデジタルカメラは、販売当初と比べれば安価になってはいるが、消費者にとってはまだ高価な商品である。また、従来技術として、内蔵メモリに保存された画像データの読み出し・消去が、ある特定のコードにより制限されたデジタルカメラを用いて、デジタルカメラを消費者に安価で提供するシステムが記載されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

上記目的を達成するために、本発明の中古カメラの販売支援システムは、販売店に設置されたコンピュータにより、回収されたカメラから機能チェックデータを読取って作動の適否を判別し、適正な作動を行うものであることが確認されたときには、そのカメラの内部メモリから機種コード、シリアルナンバー、使用時間を含む固有データを読み込むとともに、これらの固有データをインターネットを経由してメーカーに設置された販売管理用サーバーに送信し、メーカーでは販売管理用サーバーで受信した固有データに基づき、そのカメラの機種及び使用時間を含む情報を付した個装箱を前記販売店に配送することを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1は、本発明の中古カメラの販売支援システムにて使用するデジタルカメラである。図1に示すように、デジタルカメラ10は、そのカメラ本体11の前面に、撮影レンズ12、ストロボ発光部13、ファインダ対物窓14、ストロボスイッチ16が設けられている。背面には、ファインダ接眼窓17、LCD表示パネル18、操作パネル19が設けられている。そして、カメラ本体11の上面には撮影スイッチ21が、側面には通信用コネクタ22及び電源スイッチ23が設けられている。カバー25は、通信用コネクタ22をその不使用時に覆うためのカバーである。
