Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a sheet feeding device connected to an image forming apparatus such as a printer, a facsimile, a copying machine, or the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art As a conventional paper feeding device, for example, as shown in Patent Literature 1, a paper mounting plate provided so as to be capable of moving paper up and down and a side end surface of the paper mounted on the paper mounting plate And a sheet feed roller that feeds the sheet to the image forming apparatus in contact with the uppermost surface of the sheet placed on the sheet placing plate.
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent Application No. 2001-81379 [0004]
FIG. 3 is a view showing a conventional sheet feeding device. The sheet feeding device 20 contacts both sides of a sheet placing plate 21 with both ends in the width direction of a sheet P supplied to a sheet supply port (not shown). A sheet width regulating plate 22 for guiding the feeding of the sheet P is provided. The position of the sheet width regulating plate 22 can be changed according to the width of the sheet P placed on the sheet placing plate 21, and the sheet P is prevented from being skewed while being fed. You will be guided. The position of the sheet width regulating plate 22 is adjusted by a centering method in which the sheet width regulating plate 22 is always disposed at the same distance from the center line of the sheet placing plate 21.
[0005]
The paper feed roller 23 of such a paper feed device 20 is provided at one central position in the width direction of the paper placing plate 21 so as to contact the paper P of all sizes placed on the paper placing plate 21. In general, a sheet having a length smaller than the minimum width of the sheet P is provided. That is, the feed roller 23 contacts the central position in the width direction of the paper P regardless of whether the paper P has a large size as shown in FIG. 3 or a paper P having a small size as shown in FIG. Te, the roller shaft 24 is rotated, so as to deliver only the paper P 1 of uppermost paper supply opening of the image forming apparatus. Reference numeral 25 in FIGS. 3 and 4 denotes a disabling means for disabling the paper placing plate 21 toward the paper feed roller 23.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional paper feeding device, when the flat paper P such as a normal sized paper or a postcard can be fed, the paper can be fed without any problem. When the bag-shaped paper P is stacked and pressed by only one short paper feed roller 23 at the center in the width direction, the paper P is curled by the paper P itself and the internal air layer as shown in FIG. There is a problem that only the central portion pressed by the paper roller 23 is lowered and both sides are warped.
[0007]
When both sides of the sheet P warp, both ends in the width direction are separated from the sheet width regulating plate 22, as shown in FIG. 5, and the sheet P is fed to the image forming apparatus in this state. Since the guidance by 22 cannot be obtained, there is a high possibility that a skew or a feeding jam which is obliquely fed to the image forming apparatus occurs.
[0008]
Further, in order to solve the above-mentioned problem, it is conceivable to fix the paper P in a shape in which the upper side of the paper width regulating plate 22 is inclined inward (to the side of the paper feed roller 23). Since the sheet width regulating plate 22 moves upward, excessively pressing both ends of the sheet P causes feeding resistance. There is a problem that a feeding jam occurs due to buckling of the sheet.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and has a paper loading plate connected to an image forming apparatus and provided so as to be capable of mounting paper and being movable in a vertical direction, and to be mounted on the paper loading plate. A sheet width regulating plate for sandwiching the side end surface of the placed sheet from both sides, and a sheet supply roller for contacting the uppermost surface of the sheet placed on the sheet placing plate and feeding the sheet to the image forming apparatus. In the image forming apparatus, the sheet width regulating plate is provided to be substantially vertically erected when the amount of loaded paper is small, and the upper side is inclined inward when the loaded amount of paper is large. It is what it was.
[0010]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a state in which a plurality of bag-shaped sheets P containing air are loaded inside such as an envelope in the sheet feeding device of the present invention. In the drawing, reference numeral 1 denotes a sheet placement plate on which a sheet is placed, and 2 denotes a position of the sheet P during feeding of the sheet P by changing its position in accordance with the width of the sheet P placed on the sheet placement plate 21. A sheet width regulating plate for guiding the sheet while preventing the skew of the sheet feed roller 3 for feeding only the uppermost sheet P 1 to the sheet supply port of the image forming apparatus, and 4 is a sheet placing surface of the sheet placing plate 1. The protrusions 5 formed on the opposite surface to the above are springs for urging the sheet width regulating plate 3 downward. In this embodiment, the spring 5 is used. However, an elastic member such as rubber may be used as long as the elastic member urges downward.
[0011]
According to the present invention, the paper width regulating plate 3 includes a guide portion 2a for nipping a side end surface of the paper P placed on the paper placing plate 1 from both sides, and a guide portion 2a at a position below the paper placing plate 1. An extension portion 2c which is bent and extended, and is rotatable around the bent portion 2b, and a spring 5 is connected to a lower surface portion of a tip 2d of the extension portion, whereby the sheet mounting plate 1 Depending on the position, the guide portion 2a rotates about the bent portion 2b as a fulcrum, and in particular, the upper portion of the guide portion 2a is inclined inward (to the side of the paper feed roller 3).
[0012]
Hereinafter, the operation of the sheet feeding apparatus according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a state in which a large number of bag-shaped sheets P containing air are loaded inside such as an envelope. The sheet stacking plate 1 is pushed down to a lower position because a large number of sheets are stacked. Therefore, since the protrusion 4 formed below the sheet stacking plate 4 pushes down the upper surface of the sheet width regulating plate 3 near the tip 2d of the extending portion 2c, the guide 2a of the sheet width regulating plate 3 is bent. The paper P above falls down around the center 2b and is fed to the image forming apparatus while being guided by the guide portion 2a.
[0013]
Accordingly, even when a large number of bag-shaped paper sheets P containing air are loaded inside an envelope or the like, the paper width regulating plate 2 can firmly regulate the width direction of the paper sheets P, and can skew or feed. It is possible to prevent the occurrence of a feeding failure or the like, and to realize a stable feeding.
[0014]
On the other hand, FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a state in which the paper P is fed from the state of FIG. 1 and the stacked amount of the paper P is reduced. In this case, the sheet stacking plate 1 is at a high position, and the protrusion 4 is separated from the extending portion 2c of the sheet width regulating plate 3, while the upper portion is in contact with the sheet width regulating plate 1 and pressed outward. Since the guide portion 2a is controlled by the stopper member 6, the guide portion 2a is rotated around the bent portion 2b by the spring 6, and is substantially in an upright state. Thus, even when the amount of paper P placed is small, it is possible to perform appropriate feeding without the guide portion 2a becoming a feeding resistance.
[0015]
In the present embodiment, the distance between the guide portions 2a in the upright state of the guide portions 2a is substantially equal to the width direction of the paper placing plate 1, and the spring 5 urges the extending portion 2c downward. When the stacking amount is large, the guide portion rotates against the biasing direction, and when the stacking amount is small, the guide portion 2a is substantially erect by being restricted by the stopper 6 while being pressed by the paper loading plate 1 from the inside. However, when the sheet placing plate 1 is positioned below as shown in FIG. 1, the guide portion 2 a rotates until the guide portion 2 a comes into contact with the sheet placing plate 1 without providing the protrusion 4. It is also possible to adopt a configuration in which the upper part of the guide portion 2a is inclined inward. Further, the spring 5 is configured to be urged upward, and the state shown in FIG. 1 is a state in which the projection 4 is pressed down in a direction against the urging force of the spring 5, and the state shown in FIG. May contact the stopper 6.
[0016]
In the present embodiment, the upper portion of the guide portion 2a is inclined inward linearly in conjunction with an increase in the amount of paper loaded on the paper loading plate 1 using the spring 5. If one or a plurality of threshold values are set, and the guide portion 2a is inclined stepwise each time the paper placing plate 1 passes the threshold value, the effect of the present invention can be obtained. .
[0017]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the paper feeding device of the present invention, when the paper width regulating plate fluctuates in conjunction with the loading amount of the paper placed on the paper placing plate, and the paper loading amount is large, The paper width regulating plate is set up almost vertically, and the upper part is inclined inward as the stacking amount of paper is reduced. A sheet feeding device that reliably guides the sheet in the width direction and performs stable feeding can be provided.
[Brief description of the drawings]
