本発明は、温風供給手段を備え、機外から吸気し、機外へ排気するようにした洗濯乾燥機に関する。

近年、洗濯物の洗濯、すすぎおよび脱水に加え、温風によって乾燥もできるようにした攪拌式の洗濯乾燥機が供されている。

従来技術による洗濯乾燥機は、機外の空気を吸気し内部のヒータにて加熱した後ファンにて温風を供給する温風供給装置を有し、脱水行程の終了後に洗濯槽の中の洗濯物に前記温風供給装置により温風を吹きつけ、かつ洗濯物を若干攪拌することにより乾燥させるようにしている。その際、湿った洗濯物に接することによって湿気を含んだ洗濯槽内の温風は、洗濯槽内および外箱内上部に滞留しつつ、外箱とトップカバーの隙間、洗濯蓋に設けた手掛部、水槽の周りを通して外箱下面の開口部等から排気することが一般的であった(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、上記のような乾燥機能を設けた洗濯乾燥機においては、乾燥行程時に洗濯物からの湿気を含んだ温風の排出は、上記隙間等から必ずしも効率良く行われないため洗濯機内部に滞留しやすく、乾燥効率を低下させる要因となっていた。また、カラー鋼板等、板金からなる洗濯機の外郭を構成する外箱の内面に結露を生じ、その結露水が床を濡らす等、不具合を生じさせることもあった。さらに、上記した洗濯蓋の手掛部に排気穴を形成するものにおいては、埃等の侵入を許し易く、美観も損なってしまうばかりでなく、洗濯蓋直上に置かれた物により塞がれてしまうおそれもあった。

本発明は、上述の事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、従ってその目的は、スムーズに排気することにより乾燥効率を向上させるとともに、洗濯機内部に結露を生じさせず、洗濯機内部への埃等の侵入を防止しつつ、さらに美観を損ねることのない洗濯乾燥機を提供するにある。

上記の目的を達成するために、本発明の洗濯乾燥機は、第1の手段として、外箱と、前記外箱内部に収容された水槽と、前記水槽に収容され、洗濯物の洗濯、すすぎ、脱水及び乾燥に供する洗濯槽と、前記外箱上部に設けられ、洗濯物を出し入れする開口部を有したトップカバーと、前記トップカバーの開口部を開閉可能に覆い、周縁にフランジ部が設けられた洗濯蓋と、前記外箱外部から吸気する送風ファンと吸気した空気を加熱するヒータから成る前記洗濯槽への温風供給手段とを具備し、前記洗濯蓋は、前記温風供給手段からの温風を機外から排出する通風部をフランジ部に有することを特徴とする(請求項1の発明)。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、本発明による洗濯乾燥機の一実施例について図1ないし図3を参照して説明する。まず、図1は、洗濯乾燥機の全体構成を示す縦断側面図で、この図に示すように洗濯乾燥機本体は、四角筒状の金属製の外箱1と、この外箱1の上端開口に装着したトップカバー2とにより洗濯機本体の外殻を構成し、該外箱1の内部には水槽3を配置している。この水槽3は、外箱1上端から吊り下げた四本(二本のみ図示)の吊り棒4にばね5を介して弾性支持されており、この内部には洗濯槽6を回転可能に内設している。洗濯槽6の内底部には攪拌体7が設けられており、水槽3外底面に取付けられたモータ等から構成される駆動装置8により、回転軸9を介して洗濯槽6と攪拌体7が選択的に回転駆動されるようになっている。

前記トップカバー2は、前記洗濯槽6への洗濯物の出し入れが可能な開口部2aを有するとともに、例えば二つ折り構造の洗濯蓋10がその後面に設けられたヒンジ10aにより開閉可能に取付けられている。また、特に図2の斜視図に示すようにトップカバー2の前部上面には、洗濯乾燥機の運転操作をするための操作パネル11を設けており、この操作パネル11の下部内方には制御装置12が配置されている。また、トップカバー2の後部上面には給水手段としての給水弁13や温風供給手段としての温風供給装置14などが配設されていて、着脱自在なバックカバー15によってトップカバー2の後面開口部全体が覆われている。

上記温風供給装置14は、全体を吸気口16aと吹出し口16bを有するケーシング16にてユニット化されていて、その内部には送風ファン17とヒータ18が設けられ、一方、前記送風ファン17を駆動するモータ19はケーシング16の外面に取着されていて、回転軸を介して前記送風ファン17と連結している。そして、ヒータ18は送風ファン17の風下側に配置されている。この温風供給装置14を覆う前記バックカバー15には温風供給装置14の吸気口16aを塞がないように、これと対向する位置に通気孔15bが形成されている。

また水槽3の上面には、水槽カバー20が配設され、水槽カバー20には、その中央の開口部分を開閉する内蓋21が回動可能に設けられている。内蓋21は、その略中央に例えば複数のスリット溝から成る開口部21aを形成しており、その開口部21aには、これを覆うように排気フィルター22を着脱可能に設けている。また、水槽カバー20にはケーシング16の吹出し口16bと連結した蛇腹状のダクト23が接続されている。

さて、図3に示すように前記洗濯蓋10の周縁には垂下壁状にフランジ部10bが全周に亘って形成されており、その前後面および二つ折れ蓋の各側面のフランジ部10bには、これを一部切り欠くようにして通風部である切欠部10cを設けてあり、洗濯蓋10を閉じた状態においてこれとトップカバー2との間に隙間、いわゆる通風部が形成されるようになっている。

またトップカバー2には、その開口部2aにおける前記洗濯蓋10のヒンジ10aに沿った壁面に、これと洗濯蓋10とで形成される隙間に向けた連通路となす傾斜面2bを形成することにより、開口部2aの上部にいわば逃げ部が形成されて、洗濯蓋10との隙間への入口が広がるため、更に湿気を含んだ温風を機外に排出しやすくすることができる。あわせて、これと対向する洗濯蓋10側のフランジ部10b端を前記トップカバー2の傾斜面と略平行に傾斜させたエッジ形状とすると、この効果を一層高めることができる。

加えて、図1に示す温風供給装置14のケーシング16には、吸気口16aの外周を囲むように係合部16cを凸リング状に形成している。そして、これと対向するバックカバー15側には、その通気孔15bの外周にこれも凸リング状の被係合部15aを、前記係合部16cと係合できるよう若干径大に形成している。従って、温風供給装置14のケーシング16とバックカバー15とが、前記係合部16cと被係合部15aとで係合することで位置決めされるようになっている。なお、バックカバー15には、その通気孔15bを覆うように着脱可能に設けたフィルターたるフィルターケース24を有している。該フィルターケース24には通気孔15bに対向した位置にメッシュ部24aが設けられ、該メッシュ部24aは前記排気フィルター22と比較すると粗い目となっている。

また、温風供給装置14のケーシング16の係合部16cとバックカバー15に設けた被係合部15aとを互いに係合させたことにより、両吸気口部の開口位置を正確に一致させることができ、もって外気をスムーズにかつ洩れなく吸気することができる。

この様に構成された洗濯乾燥機の作用につき説明すると、操作パネル11を操作することにより洗い・すすぎ・脱水の各行程を順次実行するようになっている。まず洗い行程においては、洗濯槽6内に洗濯物を投入した後に、洗剤と共に水道水を給水弁13を介して洗濯槽6内に供給し、所定の水量を貯水する。そしてその後に撹拌体7を駆動装置8により自動反転などして回転駆動することにより洗濯物を撹拌し、もって洗濯物の汚れを落とす洗い行程が実行される。

この洗い行程が終了すると、排水した後に、洗濯槽6を高速回転させて中間脱水が行なわれる。これにより洗剤分を含んだ洗濯液の大半が洗濯物から搾り出されて機外へ排出され、もってその次のすすぎ行程を効率良く短時間にも済ませることができるようにしている。そのすすぎ行程も、基本的に前記洗い行程と同様にして行なわれる。

そしてすすぎ行程が終了すると、次には仕上げの脱水行程が洗濯槽6を高速回転させることにより実行され、もって洗濯物は脱水された状態となる。

さて、このようにして脱水行程まで完了した洗濯物を乾燥するにあたり、本発明による洗濯乾燥機の乾燥行程の動作を以下に説明する。

乾燥行程では、まず温風供給装置14におけるモータ19の駆動により送風ファン17が回転し、これによってバックカバー15の通気孔15bとケーシング16の吸気口16aを通して外箱1の外部から温風供給装置14内に空気が取り込まれる。なお、図1中に空気および温風たる乾燥風の流れを矢印で示している。その後、ケーシング16内を通風路に沿って送られた空気はヒータ18によって加熱され、ダクト23を通じて洗濯槽6内に温風として供給される。この温風は、洗濯物と接するうちに洗濯物中の水分に気化熱を与えることにより洗濯物から蒸発させ、もって水分を奪うため温風は湿気を含んだ状態になる。その結果、暖かくかつ湿った空気となった温風は洗濯槽6内を上昇し、内蓋21に設けられた開口部21aと排気フィルター22とを通過して洗濯槽6外に排出され、そして、洗濯蓋10周縁部のフランジ部10bに設けた切欠部10cとトップカバー2との間に形成された隙間から機外に自然排気される。この様に、乾燥行程における湿った温風は、従来では主に洗濯蓋10と内蓋21との間の空間に滞留し勝ちであったが、本実施例によれば洗濯蓋10の周りの広範囲の隙間から速やかに排出され、もって外箱1内に温風が滞留することを極力防止できる。

よって、外箱1内部に湿った温風が滞留しないから、金属製で熱交換し易い外箱1の裏面が湿気により結露するという状態も未然に防止できる。また、洗濯槽6内の湿気を含んだ温風をスムーズに排出することで、代わって新たな温風の導入を促し、全体として温風の流れを良好にし乾燥効率を向上させることができる。更には、乾燥に寄与した後の湿気を帯びた温風の排出は、洗濯蓋10周りのフランジ部10bの切欠部10cを利用とすることで、洗濯蓋10上に置かれた物で直接塞がれたり、本体上面の美観を損ねることもない。
(変形例)
次に、図4は本発明の変形例を示す要部の拡大断面図で、このものは、温風供給装置14のケーシング16に設けた係合部16dの外周面と、バックカバー15の通気孔15b外周に設けた被係合部15cとが係合する内周面を互いに傾斜面とした構成にある。この結果、組立時にバックカバー15のケーシング16への挿入作業性がよくなる。

また、上記と同様に、フィルターとしての前記フィルターケース24のメッシュ部24aの外周にも凸リング状の係合部24bを設けるとともに、これと対向するバックカバー15面側の通気孔15b外周に設けた被係合部15dとを互いに係合させるべく、係合部24bを若干径大な構成にした。この場合、両係合部15d、24bの内外両面を共に傾斜面とすると、フィルターケース24のバックカバー15への脱着が上下方向であることから、傾斜面により両者の係合・離脱がスムーズに行なわれ、もってフィルターケース24のメッシュ部24aとバックカバー15の通気孔15bの両開口位置を正確に一致させることができ、もって外気をスムーズにかつ洩れなく吸気することができる。

なお、本発明は上記しかつ図示した実施例に限らない。洗濯蓋のフランジ部の切欠部については、洗濯蓋のフランジ部において内外を連通させるものであればよく、例えばフランジ部に開けた穴でもよい。また、洗濯蓋は二つ折り構造に限らず、フィルター構造も種々変形可能など、実施に際して本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で具体的に変更して実施可能である。
