Abstract
Description
【0001】

C=627.7であれば、「627.70〜627.79」をすべて検索対象とする。
【0030】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a book information search system, a program, and a recording medium, and more particularly, to a book information search technique for searching books stored in a library.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Recently, networks such as the Internet and intranet have become widespread in homes and workplaces, and a book search system using this network can search for books stored in libraries located in remote locations from homes and workplaces. Became.
[0003]
As a method for retrieving book information, a "method of performing a search using a search key designated by the searcher himself" is common. In this case, the search key to enter is
(1) Bibliographic items such as titles, author names, etc. relating to material information (2) Classification numbers according to the Japan Decimal Classification Table (NDC).
[0004]
The classification used in this library is based on a classification method in which the contents written in the book are classified into ten basic divisions (primary divisions), and each field is further classified into ten fields. The result obtained is represented by a symbol using ten numbers “0” to “9”, and is classified into a tertiary category (1,000 items) (see FIG. 10). However, the 1,000 items in the tertiary category alone are not enough, so the sub-category items are further set below “.”.
This classification number is assigned to a book by library staff using its expertise to identify the field from the contents of the target book.
[0005]
With these search methods, a user who does not know an appropriate search key or classification number cannot obtain necessary information.
In order to solve this problem, in the “material information search method using a classification number-related file” in
[0006]
On the other hand, books are arranged on the bookshelf of the library in the order of the classification numbers described above, and as a result, related books are arranged in a group (see FIG. 11). Further, each book is usually provided with a call number consisting of a classification number and a book symbol. The book symbol is used to determine the order of books having the same classification number, and is generally obtained from the initials of the book title or the author name.
[0007]
When books are placed in this way, they are connected via a network by the above-mentioned material information search method, and when they search for materials (books), they actually go to the library and place them on the bookshelf. There is a problem that it is not possible to enjoy the advantages caused by viewing books.
[0008]
For example, if you actually go to a library, you may be interested in books placed around the target book, and as a result of grabbing the book, "this book is more important" There are many things to recognize.
[0009]
In order to solve this problem, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H11-216,1992 discloses a book information providing server, a book information providing method, and a computer-readable recording medium storing a program for causing a computer to execute the method. When the bookshelf is designated, provide video data of close-up images so that users can recognize the design or characters on the cover or spine of each book stored in the bookshelf, and actually go to the library and put it on the bookshelf. The advantage generated by viewing the placed books can be provided to a user who searches for book information from a remote place via a network.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the technique of
In addition, in the technique of
[0012]
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and by using a classification number and a call number that are always assigned to a library book, no special work is required. A library information retrieval system that provides the same benefits to users in remote locations as actually visiting the library and looking at the bookshelf, a program for realizing the functions of the library information retrieval system, and a program for implementing the program. It is an object of the present invention to provide a recorded computer-readable recording medium.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, a book information search system according to
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the book information search system according to the first aspect, when a book in the list is specified, the search unit searches for the same classification number as the specified book. When the number of results does not reach the predetermined number, the target classification number is expanded to adjacent classification numbers until the predetermined number is reached.
[0014]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the book information search system according to the second aspect, when the search unit expands the target classification number to a close classification number, the search unit may search for a different classification number of a large classification. It is characterized by being outside.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the book information search system according to the first, second, or third aspect, the list display means sorts the list information of the search result books in the order of request symbols. It is characterized by.
[0015]
A program according to a fifth aspect of the present invention is a program for causing a computer to function as the book information search system according to the first, second, third, or fourth aspect.
A recording medium according to a sixth aspect of the present invention is a computer-readable recording medium on which the program according to the fifth aspect is recorded.
[0016]
With the above configuration, the library books always use the assigned classification number and call number, so that no special work is required, and even for users in remote locations, It can offer the same benefits as going to the shelves and looking at them.
[0017]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of a book information search system according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following embodiment, the present invention will be described using an example applied to a case where book information arranged on a book shelf of a library is provided. The present invention can be similarly applied to the case of providing information on an arbitrary product classified on the shelf and arranged on the shelf.

When displayed in this way, for example, as shown in FIG. 11, it is possible to know from a remote place what kind of book is placed close to the specified search book.
[0026]
Hereinafter, a modified example of the above-described embodiment will be described.
In the above-described embodiment, when the book information is displayed, and when the user wants to see another book placed on the bookshelf close to the book and presses the “see surrounding books” button, the search means 12 Searched for books with the same classification number.
However, when the number of books having the same classification number as the specified book is small, the classification numbers of the books arranged in close proximity are not the same.
In this modification, not only the same classification number but also a classification number close to this classification number is searched until a predetermined number of search results are obtained, and the library is actually visited. You can get the same effect as looking at the bookshelf.
[0027]
FIG. 7 is a block diagram showing a functional configuration of the book information search server according to the present modification. As shown in FIG. 7, the book
Among these components, those having the same functions as those of the above-described embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and only the differences between the functions will be described.

FIG. 8 is a flowchart illustrating a processing procedure of the
First, the class number of the book received from the
[0029]
A book belonging to the classification number stored in the memory C is searched from the book information DB 13 (step S2).
The above-mentioned “belongs to the classification number” means that the lower-level classification included in this number classification is included. For example, if the classification number stored in the memory C is the classification of the secondary classification, A search including the tertiary section and its sub-items is performed. If the classification of the memory C is the classification number of the tertiary division, a search including lower-order details is performed. For example, if C = 62, “620, 621,..., 629” and all of these items, including these sub-items, are searched.
If C = 627.7, all “627.70 to 627.79” are to be searched.
[0030]
If the number of search results is greater than the minimum number of displayed items (MIN) (YES in step S3), the search is terminated.
The list display means 14 sorts the search results in the order of billing symbols and returns them to the
[0031]
On the other hand, when the number of search results is less than the minimum display number (MIN) (NO in step S3), when the classification number stored in the memory C is the major classification (primary classification) (YES in step S4). , End the search.
However, if the classification number stored in the memory C is not a large classification (primary classification) (NO in step S4), a higher-level classification number is determined, stored in the memory C (step S5), and returns to step S2. .
[0032]
Since the classification numbers are classified into decimals as described above, a higher-order classification number can be obtained by deleting the last digit of the given classification number.
For example, referring to FIG. 9 (A), the higher classification of the classification number “627.77” of “rose” is “627.7 (viewing flowering tree)”, and the higher classification is “627 (flower gardening). (Flowers)) ".
The search for the upper class number stops when the highest class number (primary class) is reached. In the case of this “rose (627.77)”, it stops when it reaches “6 (industry)”.
The higher classification number of “628.3 (jam)” in FIG. 9B is “628 (horticultural use)”, and the higher classification number is “62 (horticulture)”, which is the highest rank. The classification is also “6 (industry)”.
[0033]
As described above, when the search result is small, the library also displays the search result of the classification number close to the specified classification number based on the classification number rule, so that the library can be actually provided to the user at a remote place. It can offer the same benefits as going to the shelves and looking at them.
[0034]
Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to only the above-described embodiments.
