【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は上記目的を達成するために提案されたものであり、一対の車輪を備えた下部フレームと、該下部フレーム上に回転自在に搭載され、且つ、台車の台板等に固着される回転テーブルとを備えた電動キャスターに於て、前記一対の車輪を該車輪間に設けた一対のモータに夫々連結し、該一対のモ−タを1個のインバータに並列接続し、該一対のモータの何れか一方のモ−タと該インバータ間に該一方のモータの回転方向を切換える切換え手段を設け、前記一対のモータを同方向に回転させることにより前記台車を所定方向に移動させると共に、前記一対のモータを互いに逆方向に回転させることにより前記電動キャスターを自転させ、前記台車の移動方向を変更するように構成した電動キャスター、
及び、上記回転テーブルと上記下部フレームとの互いの回転をロックする回転ロック手段を設けた電動キャスター、
並びに、上記一対のモータの駆動軸をクラッチを介装して接離自在に連結し、該クラッチによって、該一対のモータに夫々連結される上記一対の車輪間の同期精度を向上させるように構成した電動キャスターを提供するものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の一実施の形態を図1乃至図7に従って詳述する。図1及び図2に於て、1は電動キャスターであり、該電動キャスター1は一対の左右車輪2,3を備えた下部フレーム4と、該下部フレーム4上に回転自在に搭載され、且つ、台車(図示せず)等に固着される略方形状の回転テーブル5とを備えている。

本発明は上記一実施の形態に詳述したように、請求項1記載の発明は、電動キャスターに於て、一対の車輪を該車輪間に設けた一対のモータに夫々連結し、該一対のモ−タを1個のインバータに並列接続し、該一対のモータの何れか一方のモ−タと該インバータ間に該一方のモータの回転方向を切換える切換え手段を設けたので、前記電動キャスターはインバータ及び切換え手段を用いた簡素な構成で小型化を図ることができる。
