Abstract
Description
【0001】

x2=ax1+by1+c・・・・(2)
y2=−bx1+ay1+d・・・(3)
x21=ax11+by11+c・・・・(4)
x22=ax12+by12+c・・・・(5)
y21=−bx11+ay11+d・・・(6)
y22=−bx12+ay12+d・・・(7)

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a medical image processing apparatus and a medical image processing method for obtaining a composite image by combining a plurality of divided images obtained by dividing and photographing the same subject.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, imaging methods using radiation (X-rays, α-rays, β-rays, γ-rays, electron beams, ultraviolet rays, etc.) have been used in various fields, and especially in the medical field, it is the most important for diagnosis. It has become one of the means. Since the first X-ray photography was realized, the X-ray photography method has been improved many times, and at present, a method combining a fluorescent screen and an X-ray film has become mainstream. On the other hand, in recent years, various digitized devices such as X-ray CT, ultrasound, and MRI have been put into practical use as devices used for medical image diagnosis, such as diagnostic information processing systems in hospitals. Construction is going on. A lot of research for digitizing X-ray images has also been made, but a radiographic method using a stimulable phosphor has been established and attracts attention as a replacement for conventional X-ray photography.
[0003]
A stimulable phosphor (storable phosphor) is a part of its radiation energy that is stored when irradiated with radiation. After that, when it is irradiated with excitation light such as visible light, it emits light according to the stored energy. It has been known for a long time. The radiography method using this is a method in which a radiographic image of a subject such as a human body is photographed and recorded on a sheet coated with a stimulable phosphor, and this stimulable phosphor sheet is scanned with excitation light such as laser light. Since exhausted light is generated, image data is obtained by photoelectrically reading the emitted light using a medical image reader. In a medical image processing apparatus connected to a medical image reading apparatus, this image data is appropriately processed and then output to a display such as a CRT or printed on a film by a laser printer or the like to display a radiation image as a visible image can do.
[0004]
Such a radiographic method has performance comparable to that of a conventional X-ray photography method in terms of imaging sensitivity and image quality. For example, compared with the conventional X-ray photography method, the exposure area is extremely wide, and the response of the photostimulated light to the exposure amount is almost proportional over the entire exposure area. For this reason, no matter what radiation dose the subject is photographed, it is possible to capture the emission region where the image exists and normalize it into a digital signal without excess or deficiency. Further, by combining the signal obtained in this way with an appropriate image processing method, it is possible to provide a steady and high-quality image even under various shooting conditions. Furthermore, since the digitized image information is obtained directly, not only can a large amount of data be stored for a long period of time without causing image deterioration, but also development into a medical diagnosis information system is possible. Become.
[0005]
By the way, in radiography, in many cases, only a small part of a subject is imaged. For this reason, when the subject is large, such as the entire spinal column or all the lower limbs, the radiation image of the subject does not fit into one stimulable phosphor sheet, and therefore a plurality of stimulable phosphor sheets are used. Taking a split image.
[0006]
In the following Patent Document 1, in order to synthesize a plurality of divided images read from these photostimulable phosphor sheets, a plurality of divided image data and these divided image data represent a series of related images. Input means for inputting image supplementary information including information to be shown; composition means for combining the plurality of divided image data based on the image supplementary information to obtain composite image data; output means for outputting the composite image data; An image synthesizing system including the above is disclosed.
[0007]
However, in the conventional image composition system, when combining a plurality of divided image data generated by the medical image reading apparatus, it is necessary to manually select a divided image to be used for combining from the plurality of divided images. It was.

Next, photographing is started in the medical image photographing apparatus 1. As shown in FIG. 3, by irradiating the recording sheets IP1 and IP2 stored in the
[0028]
Here, the divided images of the subject recorded on the plurality of recording sheets may include portions that overlap each other, or may be continuous by abutting adjacent edges, but overlap each other. It is desirable to include a part. For example, as shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B, a first divided image recorded on the first recording sheet IP1 and a second divided image recorded on the second recording sheet IP2. In FIG. 3, there are overlapping images corresponding to the overlapping regions of the recording sheets shown in FIG. In this way, if there are overlapping images representing the same part in the two divided images to be combined, the alignment can be performed so that the overlapping images included in these divided images match. Alignment during the synthesis process is facilitated. Such alignment can be realized by performing pattern matching between overlapping images included in both divided images.
[0029]
Further, in the medical image photographing apparatus 1, image supplementary information is recorded on a recording sheet using a barcode or the like together with the divided images. For example, the medical image photographing apparatus 1 records the set information and position information of the recording sheet IP1 shown on the upper side in FIG. 3 as the SN1 on the recording sheet IP1 using the set number SN as the set information. Is recorded on the recording sheet IP2 as SN2. Here, SN is a number representing a set number.

Here, in the coordinate conversion based on Expression (1), the divided image represented by the first divided image data is enlarged, reduced, rotated, or translated.
[0039]
The coefficients a, b, c, and d included in Equation (1) are determined as follows. Equation (1) is
x2 = ax1 + by1 + c (2)
y2 = −bx1 + ay1 + d (3)
It can be divided into two types. Here, the coordinates of two points having a high correlation value with the second divided image data in the first divided image data are (x11, y11) and (x12, y12), and the second divided image data corresponding thereto. If the coordinates of the two points in (x21, y21) and (x22, y22) are
x21 = ax11 + by11 + c (4)
