Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper clip which is used for various thicknesses and always presents flatness and a stable retaining force.
SOLUTION: The clip has a central part 11 which is bent to be symmetrical with respect to the axis which intersects perpendicularly at the center of a filamentary material and which forms a first plane, and a pair of side arm parts which form a pair of second planes within the same plane as the first plane by first, second and third side portions 12-1, 12-2 and 12-3 formed by bending the material sequentially in such a manner that, while it once becomes apart from the central part symmetrically about the axis, in continuity to the opposite sides of the central part, it returns to the vicinity of the bending point of the central part and then extends along the outside of the central part to be ended. In the use, the first plane of the central part is positioned on one surface of a paper bundle, while the two second planes formed by the second and third side portions of the two side arm parts are made apart in parallel from the first plane and positioned on the other surface of the paper bundle, and the two first side portions intersect the two surfaces obliquely along the lateral edges of the paper bundle so that an elastic return power, i.e. a paper retaining power, is generated between the central part and the side arm parts in this constitution.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

[Industrial applications]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a paper clip, in particular, an elastic wire that is bent to form at least two portions that are continuous with each other, and the elasticity generated when two planes formed by the two portions are separated from each other in a direction orthogonal to these. The present invention relates to a clip for elastically holding a plurality of sheets of paper between two portions by using a return force. Further, the paper clip of the present invention is particularly useful when a relatively large number of papers are aligned and held, or when a plurality of documents whose corners are stapled with a stapler or the like are bundled and held at the same corner, and the like. is there.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventional paper clips are roughly classified into three types. The first type is a metal wire rod which is sequentially bent at three places into a substantially semicircular shape, and has two elongated U-shaped legs which contact inside and outside in the same plane. Each end is formed continuously by a semicircular portion formed by the second bending, and the inner and outer legs contacting in the same plane are connected when separated from each other in a direction perpendicular to the plane. The paper is sandwiched between the legs by the return spring force generated by the torsion. This type of paper clip has a semicircular shape with a small elastic continuous portion and is suitable for bundling and holding a relatively small number of papers, such as a few to about 10 to 20 papers. Formed to dimensions.
[0003]
The second type is an application of the first type of paper clip, in which a continuous portion between both legs is straightened to have a certain length to increase the paper holding capacity. is there. Also in this case, the length of the linear continuous portion is not increased so much, and is used at a size intermediate between the small size and the medium size.
[0004]
The third type of paper clip is a pair of straight-line central continuities having a certain length, which are formed by bending the linear members so as to intersect each other at an acute angle from both ends of the straight central continuous portion so as to overlap in an X shape. And then bent again at an acute angle at a second bending point equidistant from the first bending point, towards the first bending point of the other leg, respectively, from this first bending point At a third bending point before the distance, both legs are bent at an obtuse angle toward the respective first bending points, and are terminated near the first bending points. Accordingly, the legs extend in a direction approaching each other from both ends of the central connecting portion, and are formed in a pair of substantially triangular shapes that overlap and intersect with each other. When the two surfaces defined by the legs of the triangle are separated from each other, the central continuous portion is formed. The paper is sandwiched between the legs by using the return spring force generated by the torsion. In this case, since the central continuous portion obliquely crossing the thickness direction of the edge of the bundled paper is relatively long, this kind of so-called X-shaped paper clip is more suitable for holding a larger number of papers than those described above. Used in the form of medium to large size.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In any of the conventional paper clips described above, the length of the substantially U-shaped or triangular legs and the length of the semicircular or straight continuation therebetween define the paper holding capacity of the paper clip. In the case of the semicircular continuous portion of the first type, the length of the continuous portion of the two legs is limited to a width smaller than the length of the leg because both legs have an elongated U-shape. Is done. Therefore, in order to increase the length of the continuous portion, the length of the leg must be increased. On the other hand, in the semicircular continuous portion, the paper bundle held therebetween is concentrated at the center of the semicircle irrespective of the size thereof. If the paper bundle is thin, the paper holding portion is deformed into a wave shape by the clip. In addition, if the paper bundle is relatively thick, the continuous portion between the two legs joined to the upper surface and the lower surface of the paper bundle is near a right angle along the edge between both surfaces of the paper bundle because the width is narrow. , Whereby the twist of the wire material given to both legs is almost maximum, and the free ends of both legs are pressed flat against the paper surface, but the side connected to the continuous portion is twisted and partially lifted up . Such a bundle of papers loses the flatness of the bundle of papers either alone or when many are stacked.
[0006]
Even when the continuous portion is made linear as in the second type, the connection length is limited along the edge of the paper bundle for an appropriate number of papers because the length is limited as described above. The twisting of the filament material is relatively weaker than the above, since it crosses between the two sides almost diagonally. However, if the paper bundle becomes thicker, the continuous part becomes closer to the right angle to both sides of the paper, and Similar partial lifting of both legs is inevitable.
[0007]
In the case of the third type of paper clip having substantially triangular crossing legs, the straight continuous portion is considerably long. The oblique state between the two surfaces is maintained, and the return spring force is appropriately maintained without being excessive. On the other hand, this paper clip can be used for a considerably thick bundle of paper. However, if the thickness exceeds a certain level, the return spring force becomes excessive, and not only does a part of each leg rise to lose flatness, but also the The friction with the paper surface is reduced, and the entire paper clip slips and comes off the clip position. In addition, if the use state in which the overlapping and pressure-contacting legs are separated and kept is continued for a long time, the legs are deformed and the return spring force is reduced, and the legs are separated and are no longer usable. In order to restore the original shape, the legs are not in the same plane as in the first type, so the legs are temporarily expanded sideways like an inverted U shape from the X-shaped intersection position to intersect. A complicated manual operation is needed to solve the relationship, twist each leg at this position in the press-contact direction at the intersection at the continuous portion, and then return to the original X-shaped intersection again.
[0008]
Another problem common to the above-described first to third types of conventional paper clips is that there is no paper clip particularly suitable for use in a corner portion of a paper bundle. In the case of documents written horizontally on the left, paper clips are usually used near the upper left corner of the paper bundle. It should be located as close to the left corner as possible. On the other hand, when the paper bundle to be clipped includes a plurality of documents whose upper left corners are stapled, the paper clips must be used avoiding the stapling position, and a desired state cannot be obtained at present. Nothing can be used effectively at the corners of the bundle.
[0009]
The present invention solves these problems and can be used on a few to as many as 20 to 30 or even more bundles of paper, i.e., in all conventional small, medium and large sizes. An object of the present invention is to provide a paper clip that can be used without hindrance.
[0010]
A further object of the present invention is to provide a paper clip which can maintain a flatness on the paper surface and always obtain a stable use effect even when used on a relatively large number of papers.
[0011]
The present invention further provides that each part facing each of both sides of the paper and their continuous parts do not intersect or overlap with each other, and are formed in the same plane, and are used for a large number of sheets of paper. Another object of the present invention is to provide a paper clip which can be restored by simple manual operation only by returning each part to the same plane.
[0012]
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a paper clip that is particularly useful at the corners of a paper bundle.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, the above-described object is to provide a central portion that is bent symmetrically with respect to an axis orthogonal to the longitudinal center of one linear member to form a first plane, and a linear member extending from both ends of the central portion. The material is sequentially bent symmetrically about the axis in the same plane as the first plane of the central portion, and approaches the first side portion and the central portion of the central portion which are once extended in both directions from both ends of the central portion. A pair of side arms each terminating at a third side portion extending along the central portion via the second side portion and extending in the same plane as the first plane to form a pair of second planes. In use, the central portion is located on one surface of the paper bundle to be clipped, and the first side portions of the pair of side arms extend obliquely from one surface of the paper bundle to the other surface along the side edge of the paper bundle, The second and third sides separate the second plane from the first plane in parallel It is solved by the wire member made of a paper clip located on the other side of the paper bundle by keeping Te.
[0014]
Embodiment 1
FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of a paper clip 10 according to the present invention, suitable for use on one side of a stack of paper, in a flat state before use or when not in use. In this case, the paper clip 10 is formed by bending a linear material substantially in a U-shape to form a first plane with both leg portions forming a first plane, and symmetrically and continuously bending both ends from both ends of the central portion both right and left sides. The pair of side arms 12a and 12b form a pair of second planes, and the first plane of the central part 11 and the second plane of the side arms 12a and 12b are formed in the same plane. As the wire material, for example, a metal wire such as a commonly used soft iron wire is used.
[0015]
The paper clip 10 is formed by bending both sides of the wire in a substantially U-shape with respect to an axis a orthogonal to the longitudinal direction at a substantially central point c of the wire having a length of one piece. 11 is formed. Further, both side portions of the linear material are bent right and left at a first bending point i equidistant from the center point c so as to be perpendicular to the axis a and aligned with each other to form a triangular shape. The first side portion 12-1 of each of the both arm portions 12a and 12b is referred to as a first side portion 12-1. Next, at a second bending point ii equidistant from the first bending point, the outer portion of each first side portion is bent at an acute angle in a direction approaching the center point c to form each second side portion 12-of the side arm portion. Let it be 2. Finally, the remaining part of the wire is sharply directed to the first bending point i at the third bending point iii which is close to the bending part 11a of the central part 11 and is equidistant from the second bending point ii. The third side portions 12-3 of the side arms 12a and 12b extending along the outer sides of both legs of the central portion 11 and terminating near the first bending point i. In this case, it is convenient to make the length of the side arm portions 12a and 12b in the direction of the axis a slightly larger than the length of the central portion 11 as shown in FIG. It may be longer than the side arm.
[0016]
The paper clip 10 of the embodiment of FIG. 1 is suitable for use on a straight edge of a paper bundle P to be clipped as shown in FIGS. First, the user holds the center portion 11 and holds one or both of the side arm portions 12a and 12b and the leading end portion near the third bending point iii on one surface of the sheet bundle P, in this case, the lower surface in FIG. 2 or FIG. Then, the bent portion 11a of the central portion 11 is brought into contact with the other surface of the paper bundle P, in this case, the upper surface, and each first side portion 12-1 of the side arm portion comes into contact with the side edge surface of the paper bundle P. The entire paper clip 10 is pushed along both sides of the paper bundle P until the paper clip 10 is pressed. At this time, as shown by dotted lines in FIGS. 2 and 3, the second side portion 12-2 and the third side portion 12-3 of the both arm portions 12a and 12b are on the lower surface of the paper bundle P, and the central portion 11 is on the upper surface thereof. , Respectively, and the first side portions 12-1 of the both arm portions extend obliquely between the upper and lower surfaces along the side edge surface of the paper bundle P. In other words, the center portion 11 and the second sides and the third side portions 12-2 and 12-3 of the side arm portions 12a and 12b are defined by first and second first side portions 12-1 connecting between them. By being twisted and oblique at the second bending points i and ii, they are separated in parallel to each other in a direction perpendicular to the respective planes. 1 has an elastic restoring force, and this restoring force acts in a direction to return the central portion 11 and the second and third side portions 12-2 and 12-3 to the same plane state, A spring force is generated between the first plane and the second plane that are separated in parallel from each other.
[0017]
The elastic restoring force of the first side portions 12-1 of the both arm portions due to the oblique twisting increases as the degree of oblique to the surface of the paper bundle P increases, that is, the thicker the paper bundle to be clipped, the more the paper clip of the paper clip is held Although the force increases, it is notable that a further important feature of the present invention is that the side arm portions 12a and 12b are provided symmetrically on both sides of the central portion 11 so that the elastic return force is evenly distributed on both sides of the central portion 11. Is to happen. This not only doubles the paper holding force of the paper clip of the present invention, but also makes each of the second and third side portions 12-2 and 12-3 and the central portion 11 of both side arms always flat against the paper surface. Will be in contact with you. In particular, the spring force due to the torsion of the first side portion 12-1 at the second bending point ii acts in the direction of pressing the end portion of the third side portion 12-3 against the paper surface. There is no slipping or falling off of the paper clip due to the lifting of a part of the paper clip which occurs when the thickness increases, and the accompanying decrease in the contact surface between the clip and the paper surface.
[0018]
Embodiment 2
FIG. 4 is a plan view showing a paper clip 20 according to a second embodiment of the present invention in a flat state before use. The paper clip 20 has a configuration particularly suitable for use at the corners of a paper bundle. The difference from the paper clip 10 in the first embodiment is that both first side portions 22-1 of the side arms 22a and 22b are different. At the first folding point i, the central portion 21 is bent at an angle of 45 degrees beyond the right angle with respect to the axis a, so that both first side portions are at right angles to each other. At the other point, that is, at the second bending point ii, the second side portion 22-2 is bent toward the vicinity of the bent portion 21a of the central portion 21, and the third bent point iii near the central bent portion 21 At the point where the third side portion 22-3 is bent so as to extend substantially along the outside of both legs of the central portion 21, and the first plane of the central portion and the second plane of the side arm portion when the paper clip is not used. The point occupying the same plane is the same as in the first embodiment.
[0019]
In use, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the central portion 21 of the paper clip 20 is placed on one surface of the corner portion C of the paper bundle P, and on the upper surface in the drawing, the second one of the two side arm portions 22a and 22b. The third side portions 22-2 and 22-3 are on one side of the corner C, and the other second and third side portions 22-2 and 22-3 are on the other side of the other side of the corner C. In the drawing, if the first side portions 22-1 of the both arm portions are abutted on the lower surfaces, the first side portions 22-1 are twisted at the first and second bending points i and ii, and are orthogonally adjacent to the paper bundle P. It extends obliquely along the two side edges between the two sides. At this position, each first side portion 22-1 separates the second plane of the second and third side portions 22-2 and 22-3 of the both-side arm portions and the first plane of the central portion 21 from a parallel separated state. The paper clip 20 acts to stably clip the paper bundle P by generating an elastic force for returning to the coplanar state, which is exactly the same as that of the first embodiment. As is clear from the plan view, this paper clip 20 acts symmetrically and uniformly on both sides of the corner C of the paper bundle P which are adjacent to each other at right angles to completely secure the paper bundle P at the corner C. It is a remarkable feature that it can be stably held.
[0020]
In the first and second embodiments, the bent portions 11a and 21a of the central portions 11 and 21 are formed as semi-circular shapes as the most general example. You can also. Further, the shapes of the both arm portions 12a, 12b; 22a, 22b can take various deformations as described later, but the point is that the both arm portions are symmetrical from the central portion in the first side portions 12-1; 22-1. And at the second and third side portions 12-2, 12-3; 22-2, 22-3, return to both sides of the center again. It is only necessary to be adjacent to
[0021]
Therefore, as a modified example of the first embodiment in which the first side portions of both side arm portions are aligned with each other, in FIG. 1, the second side portion 12-2 and the third side portion 12-3 of the side arm portions 12a and 12b are respectively used. Mutually forming a substantially V-shaped triangle, the bending angle of the second side portion 12-2 at the second bending point ii with respect to the first side portion 12-1 at the second bending point ii is set to be a right angle as shown in FIG. The bending at the bending point iii may be semicircular, each side arm may have a longer D-shape, and this may be combined with the center of the U-shape to form a shape in which three substantially U-shapes are arranged. Further, in FIG. 1, the two leg portions at the center are separated on both sides of the axis a, but the two leg portions may be adjacent to each other as shown in FIG. This can be similarly applied to the case of FIG. Further, as shown in FIG. 9, the central portion may be V-shaped, and the triangles of both arm portions may be attached to both legs of the V-shape. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 10, the central portion may be formed in an inverted V-shape and three triangles are arranged along with both arm portions. As a result, as shown in FIG. 11, the central portion may be substantially circular, and the third side portion of the side arm may be formed in an arc shape along the circular central portion.
[0022]
As a modification of the second embodiment of FIG. 4 in which the first side portions of both side arm portions are at right angles to each other, the center portion is also formed in a V shape as shown in FIG. There is a form in which three V-shapes are arranged along with a side portion. In this case, since both legs at the center are widely opened, for example, a plurality of paper bundles whose corners are stapled with staples are stacked, and when this is clipped with the paper clip of this embodiment, a large number of staples are required. The bulging portion of the paper bundle by the needle is located in the center of the paper clip, and the corner can be stably clipped. In that sense, if the center legs are substantially L-shaped at right angles to each other as shown in FIG. 13, not only this effect is sufficiently exerted, but also the center portion of the paper bundle when used is used. Appears at a right angle inside the corner, and also produces a stable and beautiful appearance. When these central portions are V-shaped or L-shaped, both arm portions can be U-shaped as shown in FIG. Further, as shown in FIG. 15, the central portion may have a C-shape, that is, a partially cutout circular shape, and the third side portions of both arm portions may have an arc shape along the outside of the C-shape.
[0023]
In any case, in the paper clip of the present invention, the first plane formed by the central portion on one surface of the paper bundle to be clipped and the two side arms on the other surface of the same paper bundle on both sides. In particular, the pair of second planes respectively formed by the second and third side portions are in one plane when the paper clip is not used, but are in use through the first side portion of the side arm when used. It is necessary to adopt a configuration capable of being spaced apart in parallel with the thickness direction of the paper bundle, and as long as this is satisfied, the central portion and the arms on both sides thereof can be formed into various shapes.
[0024]
In each of the above-described embodiments and modifications, both arm portions are shown as having a relatively long first side portion, but this is a configuration suitable for clipping a relatively thick bundle of paper. That's why. Although this configuration can be used satisfactorily for thin paper bundles, the first side portion may be shorter than the illustrated example if only the use for thin paper bundles is intended.
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
According to the linear material papermaking clip of the present invention, on both sides of the central portion forming the first plane on one surface of the paper bundle, when not in use is in the same plane as the first plane, but when in use, the first plane A pair of side arms having two second planes that are separated in parallel and rest on the other surface of the paper bundle are provided, and the first side portion of the side arm always uses the second plane as the first plane when used. The elastic return force for returning to a flat surface occurs evenly and equilibrium, and the elastic return force increases as the thickness of the paper bundle increases, that is, the oblique angle of the first side portion of the side arm portion with respect to the paper surface increases. In addition, the strength is increased, so that a stronger and more stable paper holding force than before can be obtained.
[0026]
The first plane of the central part and the two second planes of the arms on both sides which are respectively placed on both sides of the paper bundle are formed in the same plane, and do not include portions that intersect or overlap each other. If the bent part at both ends of the first side of the side arm is deformed due to long-term use and the side plane cannot return to the same plane as the central plane, the user The deformation can be easily restored only by flattening the deformation by hand.
[0027]
An increase in the elastic restoring force also allows a sufficient paper holding force to be obtained even if the linear material for manufacturing the paper clip of the present invention is made thinner than the conventional one, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
[0028]
Conventionally, the first side portions of both arm portions, which extend obliquely between both sides of the paper bundle along the side edges of the paper bundle during use, are formed so as to be linearly aligned with each other in a symmetric relationship with respect to the central axis. A paper bundle that can be used with improved clip performance on one side edge of a paper bundle like the paper clip of the above, and that could not be clipped with a conventional paper clip if formed so as to be perpendicular to each other And can be used with the same improved clip performance as above.
