【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、上記ピアス式あるいはクリップ式として兼用できるイヤリングは次のような欠点を有している。すなわち上記ピアス兼イヤリングにおいては、水平に持ち上げてピアス式のイヤリングとして使用する場合の、ピンを係合させてその位置を保持させるために用いる垂下片と、下向きに折りたたんでクリップ式イヤリングとして使用する場合の、ピンを係合させてその位置を保持させるために用いる横向きの突片とがそれぞれ装飾部の背面に設けられている。しかしながら、上記垂下片および横向きの突片が装飾部の背面上に露出し、装飾性が損なわれるという欠点があった。
