TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a lens barrel used for an optical device such as a projection type image display device or an imaging device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in a projection lens barrel used in a projection type image display device, a cam ring is arranged so as to surround an outer periphery of a lens barrel main body, and a cam follower provided in each lens moving ring is provided in a cam groove formed in the cam ring. By engaging and rotating the cam ring, each lens moving ring is driven in the optical axis direction to perform zooming or the like.
[0003]
FIG. 6 shows an example of a projection-type image display device to which such a projection lens barrel is attached.
[0004]
Inside the apparatus exterior 140, an optical box 150 containing an illumination optical system, a color separation system, an image display device, a color synthesis system, and the like, and a projection lens barrel 120 attached to a light exit portion of the optical box 150 , A power supply unit 130, and an electric circuit board 160 for controlling an image display element, an illumination lamp, and the like.
[0005]
FIG. 5 shows the configuration of the projection lens barrel. 33 is a front fixed cylinder, and 39 is a rear fixed cylinder. The front and rear fixed barrels 33 and 39 constitute a lens barrel body that is integrally connected. A guide groove (not shown) for guiding a later-described movable lens group in the optical axis direction is formed on the inner periphery of the front fixed cylinder 33.
[0006]
Reference numeral 31 denotes a zoom operation member provided on the outer periphery of the front fixed cylinder 33. Numeral 32 denotes a cam ring which is arranged on the outer periphery of the front fixed cylinder 33 so as to be rotatable around the optical axis, and is connected to the zoom operation member 31 with screws.
[0007]
In the lens barrel main body, a plurality of lens moving rings 35, 36, 37, and 38 each containing a lens are accommodated so as to be movable in the optical axis direction for zooming. Cam followers 40a (b, c), 41a (b, c), 42a (b, c), and 43a (b, c) are attached to three circumferential positions of the lens moving rings 35 to 38, respectively. Each cam follower is engaged with a cam groove for each moving group formed on the cam ring 32.
[0008]
Reference numeral 34 denotes a first-group lens barrel, on the outer periphery of which is formed a male helicoid part. The male helicoid part is connected to a female helicoid part formed on the inner periphery of the front part of the front fixed barrel 33, and the first group barrel 34 is rotated in the optical axis direction by rotating the first group barrel 34. It can be moved to perform focusing.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the lens barrel having the above configuration, since it is necessary to attach cam followers to be engaged with the cam grooves of the cam ring 32 at three circumferential positions of the lens moving rings 35 to 38, the assembling work is complicated. There is a problem that it takes time to perform an adjustment operation for removing a slight tilt of the lens moving ring with respect to the optical axis due to a variation in dimensional accuracy as a component of the individual cam follower.
[0010]
Further, in the above lens barrel, conventionally, the cam ring 32 is formed as a metal part from the viewpoint of ensuring the positional accuracy of the lens moving rings 35 to 38.
[0011]
However, there is a problem in that the cam ring 32, which is a metal component, receives noise generated from the power supply unit 130 and causes noise on the electric circuit board 160 near the cam ring 32. The occurrence of noise on the electric circuit board may cause a trouble when the apparatus is driven.
[0012]
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a lens barrel in which the assembling work is easy and the lens moving ring is hardly inclined with respect to the optical axis.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A lens moving ring that is supported by two guide bars that guide in the optical axis direction in the lens barrel body and that can hold a plurality of lens groups and is movable in the optical axis direction, and controls the lens moving ring to a predetermined position. A cam member that rotates about the optical axis and a cam follower provided on the lens moving ring, and rotates the cam member around the optical axis to form the lens moving ring. A lens barrel driven in the optical axis direction, wherein the cam member is disposed on the outer periphery of the barrel body, a cross-sectional shape perpendicular to the optical axis is formed in an arc shape, and the angle of the arc centered on the optical axis is It is characterized by being configured to be 180 degrees or less.
[0014]
In the lens barrel according to the present invention, the cam followers to be engaged with the cam grooves of the cam member may be attached to each lens moving ring one by one. It is possible to adopt a configuration that makes it easy to remove a fall.
[0015]
Here, the cam member may be formed of metal. However, when the lens barrel is provided in the projection type image display device, the cam member is formed of resin so that the cam member receives noise from the power supply unit. Thus, it is possible to avoid becoming a noise generation factor in the electric circuit board.
[0016]
In the lens barrel of the present invention, the arc shape of the cam member is set to be equal to or less than 180 degrees, so that the cam member can be easily formed using a resin material.
[0017]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
1 to 3 show a configuration of a projection lens barrel according to an embodiment of the present invention. Here, FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view in the optical axis direction of the projection lens barrel, and FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis. FIG. 3 is a development view of the arc cam.
[0018]
In these figures, reference numeral 9 denotes a fixed barrel (barrel main body), in which lens moving groups (1, 3 to 7) to be described later are accommodated.
[0019]
Reference numeral 1 denotes a first lens barrel having a focus operation ring portion, and a male helicoid portion is formed at a rear portion of the outer periphery thereof. The male helicoid portion is connected to a female helicoid portion formed at the inner peripheral front portion of the fixed cylinder 1.
[0020]
Reference numeral 2 denotes a guide ring rotatably arranged on the outer periphery of the front part of the fixed cylinder 9, and has a zoom operation part at the front end. In addition, three projections having a predetermined length in the circumferential direction are formed on the inner peripheral side of the guide ring 2. The part 9d is inserted together. When the guide ring 2 is rotated, the end surface set on the outer peripheral side of the fixed cylinder 9 comes into contact with the stopper portion 9a, so that further rotation of the guide ring is prevented.
[0021]
Reference numeral 3 denotes a two-unit moving ring for holding the second lens unit. A cam follower 14a is attached to one circumferential position of the second group moving ring 3 so as to be urged in the outer circumferential direction of the second group moving ring 3 by a spring 21a. Further, a sleeve portion 3a is formed at a position close to the cam follower 14a. Further, a guide protrusion 3b is formed at a position opposite to the cam follower 14a and the optical axis in the second group moving ring 3.
[0022]
Reference numeral 4 denotes a third group moving ring for holding a third group holding frame 5 described later. A cam follower 14b is attached to one position in the circumferential direction of the third group moving ring 4 so as to be urged in the outer circumferential direction of the third group moving ring 4 by a spring 21b. A sleeve portion 4a is formed at a position close to the cam follower 14b. Further, a guide protrusion 4b is formed on the third group moving ring 4 at a position opposite to the cam follower 14b with respect to the optical axis.
[0023]
The third group holding frame 5 is fitted on the inner periphery of the third group moving ring 4, and is held at three places by rollers 15. At least one of the three rollers 15 uses an eccentric roller for optical adjustment of the third-group holding frame 5.
[0024]
Reference numeral 6 denotes a fourth group moving ring for holding the fourth lens group. A cam follower 14c is attached to one position in the circumferential direction of the fourth group moving ring 6 so as to be biased in the outer circumferential direction of the fourth group moving ring 6 by a spring 21c. A sleeve portion 6a is formed at a position close to the cam follower 14c. Further, a guide protrusion 6b is formed at a position opposite to the cam follower 14c and the optical axis in the fourth group moving ring 6.
[0025]
Reference numeral 7 denotes a fifth-group moving ring that holds the fifth lens group. At one position in the circumferential direction of the fifth group moving ring 7, a cam follower 14d is attached so as to be urged in the outer circumferential direction of the fifth group moving ring 7 by a spring 21d. A sleeve portion 7a is formed at a position close to the cam follower 14d. Further, a guide protrusion 7b is formed at a position opposite to the cam follower 14d and the optical axis in the fifth group moving ring 7.
[0026]
Reference numeral 11 denotes a mounting plate, which holds the sixth lens group and is screwed to the rear end of the fixed barrel 9.
[0027]
Reference numeral 10 denotes an arc-shaped cam (cam member), which is a molded product made of resin. A fitting portion with the guide ring 2 is provided at the front end on the inner periphery of the arc-shaped cam 10, and is integrally rotatably coupled with the guide ring 2.
[0028]
A sliding portion 10e is provided on the outer periphery of the rear end of the arcuate cam 10, and the arcuate cam 10 is moved in the outer peripheral direction by the jaw 11a provided on the mount plate 11 while being freely rotatable about the optical axis. You are regulated to do so.
[0029]
The arcuate cam 10 has four cam grooves 10a to 10d. Each of the cam groove portions 10a to 10d has a tapered surface in which the outer peripheral groove width is smaller than the inner peripheral groove width, and each of the cam followers provided in each of the lens moving rings 3, 4, 6, and 7 is provided. 14a to 14d engage. At this time, since the cam followers 14a to 14d are urged by the springs 21a to 21d to the tapered surfaces of the cam grooves 10a to 10d of the arc-shaped cam 10, they are engaged without play.
[0030]
The sleeve portions 3a and 6a of the second group lens moving ring 3 and the fourth group lens moving ring 6 are fitted to the guide bar 13a, and the sleeve portions 4a and 7a of the third group moving ring 4 and the fifth group moving ring 7 are guide bar. 13b. These guide bars 13a and 13b are held at both ends by holding holes formed in the inner peripheral front portion of the fixed cylinder 9 and the front side of the mount plate 11, and extend substantially parallel to the optical axis.
[0031]
Here, the sleeve portions 3a, 6a of the second group lens moving ring 3 and the fourth group lens moving ring 6 extend rearward from the second group lens moving ring 3 and the fourth group lens moving ring 6, respectively. Further, the sleeve portions 4a and 7a of the third group lens moving ring 4 and the fifth group lens moving ring 7 extend forward from the third group lens moving ring 4 and the fifth group lens moving ring 7, respectively.
[0032]
As described above, by alternately distributing the sleeve portions 3a, 4a, 6a, 7a fitted between the two guide bars 13a, 13b, a fitting of a sufficient length to the guide bars of these sleeve portions is performed. The length can be secured. For this reason, it is possible to prevent the lens moving rings (the second group lens moving ring 3 to the fifth group lens moving ring 7) from falling down with respect to the optical axis, and to obtain stable optical performance of the lens barrel.
[0033]
The guide projections 3 b to 7 b provided on each lens moving ring (the second group lens moving ring 3 to the fifth group lens moving ring 7) engage with the guide groove 9 c formed in the fixed cylinder 9. This prevents each lens barrel from rotating around the guide bar in which the respective sleeve portion is fitted.
[0034]
With the above configuration, the second lens group to the fifth lens group move to predetermined positions by rotating the arc-shaped cam 10 from the wide position to the tele position as shown in the developed view of FIG. Done.
[0035]
The guide bars 13a and 13b and the springs 21a to 21d are metal parts, and the other parts are resin molded articles except for screws.
[0036]
Here, a procedure for assembling the lens barrel 20 will be described. First, a lens group is incorporated into the first lens barrel 1, the second lens moving ring 3, the third lens holding frame 5, the fourth lens moving ring 6, the fifth lens moving ring 7, and the mount plate 11. Then, the third group holding frame 5 and the third group lens moving ring 4 are connected by the roller 15. Thereby, each group unit is completed.
[0037]
Next, guide bars 13a and 13b are incorporated into the fixed cylinder 9, and the sleeve portions 3a to 7a of the second group lens moving rings 3 to 5 are fitted into the guide bars 13a and 13b, and the guide projections 3b 7b is engaged with the guide groove 9c of the fixed cylinder 9.
[0038]
The mounting plate 11 is positioned with respect to the fixed cylinder 9 while being aligned with the guide bars 13a and 13b, and is coupled to the fixed cylinder 9 with screws.
[0039]
Furthermore, the projection of the guide ring 2 is assembled to the fixed cylinder 9 while aligning the projection with the thrust restricting portion 9d of the fixed cylinder 9, and the first lens barrel 1 is helicoid-coupled to the fixed cylinder 9 via a tool hole in the guide ring. Attach the focus stopper screw 18.
[0040]
Then, after the springs 21a to 21d are inserted into the second lens group moving ring 3 to the fifth group lens moving ring 7, the cam followers 14 (ad) are attached, and the sliding portion 10e of the arcuate cam 10 is attached to the jaw of the mounting plate 11. The cam followers 14 (a to d) of the second lens moving ring 3 to the fifth lens moving group 7 are engaged with the respective cam grooves 10 a to 10 d of the arcuate cam 10 while sliding into the inner peripheral side of the portion 11 a to guide An arcuate cam 10 is fixed to the ring 2 with screws.
[0041]
Finally, the zoom WIDE end position is adjusted, the stopper screw is fixed, and the assembly and adjustment of the projection lens barrel 20 are completed.
[0042]
The projection lens barrel 20 configured as described above is incorporated in the projection type image display device shown in FIG. FIG. 4 shows a state in which the upper cover of the exterior of the projection type image display device is removed.
[0043]
An optical box 50 having a built-in illumination optical system, a color separation system, an image display device, a color synthesizing system, and the like, and a light emitting portion of the optical box 50 are mounted in an exterior 40 of the projection type image display device. The projection lens barrel 20, a power supply unit 30 serving as a power supply for an illumination lamp and the like, and an electric circuit board 60 for controlling an image display element, an illumination lamp and the like are housed therein.
[0044]
The electric circuit board 60 is disposed above the optical box 50 and the projection lens barrel 20.
[0045]
Here, when the mount plate 11 of the projection lens barrel 20 is attached to the light emitting portion of the optical box 50, the projection lens barrel 20 is positioned such that the arc-shaped cam 10 and the guide bars 13a and 13b are on the lower side, that is, the lens group is sandwiched. And is mounted in a direction opposite to the electric circuit board 60.
[0046]
Thus, the guide bars 13a and 13b, which are metal parts, can be arranged apart from the electric circuit board 60.
[0047]
Therefore, coupled with the fact that the arc-shaped cam 10 is formed of resin, it is possible to reliably prevent the metal parts of the lens barrel 20 from receiving noise from the power supply unit 30 and causing noise in the electric circuit board 60. Can be.
[0048]
In this embodiment, the lens barrel mounted on the projection type image display device has been described. However, the lens barrel of the present invention can be mounted on other optical devices such as a photographing device.
[0049]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention provides a lens moving ring that is supported by two guide bars that guide in the optical axis direction in a lens barrel body and that can move in the optical axis direction and that holds a plurality of lens groups. Cam means for controlling the lens moving ring to a predetermined position, the cam means comprising a cam member rotating about the optical axis and a cam follower provided on the lens moving ring, and the cam member By rotating the lens moving ring in the optical axis direction by rotating the cam member, the cam member is disposed on the outer periphery of the lens barrel body, the cross section perpendicular to the optical axis is formed in an arc shape, The configuration is such that the angle of the arc about the optical axis is 180 degrees or less.
[0050]
With such a configuration, it is only necessary to attach one cam follower to each lens moving ring to be engaged with the cam groove of the cam member, so that the assembling work is easy, and the subtle fall due to the variation in the precision of the parts of the cam follower. Can be easily removed.
[0051]
Further, when the lens barrel of the present invention is provided in the projection type image display device, by forming the cam member from resin, the cam member receives noise from the power supply unit and causes noise generation on the electric circuit board. Can be avoided. In the lens barrel of the present invention, the arc shape of the cam member is set to be equal to or less than 180 degrees, so that the cam member can be easily formed of resin.
[0052]
In addition, the lens barrel is arranged such that the two guide bars, which are metal parts, are located on the opposite side of the electric circuit board with the lens group interposed therebetween, thereby separating the metal parts of the lens barrel from the electric circuit board. Thus, it is possible to more reliably prevent the metal parts of the lens barrel from causing noise on the electric circuit board.
