本発明は、新聞等の印刷に使用するオフセット輪転機の版胴に装着する刷版に関する。

【従来の技術】
新聞用のオフセット輪転機においては、版胴に刷版が装着される。オフセット輪転機における版胴に刷版を装着する方法については、色々な方法があるが例えば図5に示されるような版締め機構が一般的である(1997年4月10日 社団法人日本新聞協会発行 新聞印刷ハンドブック 60頁参照)。図5において、くわえ側の係止片3を引っ掛け、くわえ尻側の係止片3を版締め機構5のバネ5aをカム5bで押して引っ張ることにより装着する。

しかしながら、上記のような機構にした場合、構造が複雑になると共に、版を装着するためのギャップ幅を広く取る必要がある。このギャップ幅が広くなった場合、印刷時に該版胴とブランケット胴とのギャップが揃い、印圧、転写圧のかからない状態が周期的に発生して起こる振動が増すことになる(1997年4月10日 社団法人日本新聞協会発行 新聞印刷ハンドブック 57頁〜59頁参照)。この振動が大きくなると、印刷スピードのアップや紙面品質等の障害に拍車がかかる。このギャップ通過時のショック軽減のために、ギャップを出来るだけ狭くする方法が採られている。この方式をナローギャップと呼び最近のオフセット輪転機における、版装着方法の主流となりつつある(1997年4月10日社団法人日本新聞協会発行 新聞印刷ハンドブック 209頁〜210頁参照))。例えば刷版のくわえ側及びくわえ尻側を版胴の周面に設けられた狭い溝に差し込むだけのスリット方式図4(c)のような簡易な方法がある。スリット方式の場合の一例として、刷版のくわえ側(地側)3aでくわえ尻側(天側)3bが抜けないように押える版曲げの角度、形状を形成する。このスリット方式の場合、刷版を押え、外れないようにするための複雑な機構を設ける必要がなく、コストの面でも有効である。また、版胴が1倍版胴の場合には、このスリット方式を用いるメリットは更に増す。つまり、1倍版胴の場合2倍版胴に比べ直径が約半分になるため、刷版を押えるための複雑な機構を設ける事はその為の加工が容易ではなく、コストも嵩む。このため図4(c)のスリット方式に見られるように、版胴の周面に刷版を差し込むだけの狭い溝を設けるだけで済むので簡易な加工方法で済み、またコストも嵩まない。従来のスリット方式に用いられる刷版形状及び装着の方法は図4(a)、(b)、(c)のようなものになる。

図4(a)は従来のスリット方式の刷版の平面図、(b)は刷版の断面図、(c)は版胴に装着した状態を示す図である。図4(a)及び(b)において、新聞紙面内容および基準マーク(いわゆるトンボマーク)1aの画像が形成された刷版1の天側および地側に相対して2箇所の基準となる位置決め孔2を刷版用のパンチャーなどで形成する。次に、刷版用のベンダーなどで刷版1のくわえ側(地側)およびくわえ尻側(天側)の版曲げ加工を行って、刷版1を版胴に装着するための係止片3a、3bを形成する。

刷版1の版胴4への装着は 図4(c)に示すいわゆるナローギャップ式の刷版1の場合、版胴4のスリット溝6にくわえ側(地側)係止片3aおよびくわえ尻側(天側)係止片3bを挿入して取付ける。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、従来の方式では、刷版を差し込むだけの構造であるため、刷版のくわえ側やくわえ尻側が版胴に密着せずに生じる、版浮き現象が発生し易いものであった。ひいてはこの版浮き現象のために、印刷中に繰り返される衝撃により版が切れるという問題もあった。

そこで本発明は、版浮きを防止して安定した版装着状態を確保することができる刷版を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、輪転機の版胴のスリット溝にくわえ尻側(天側)の係止片とくわえ側(地側)の係止片を挿入して装着する刷版において、くわえ側(地側)の係止片に、スリット溝内でくわえ尻側(天側)の係止片をスプリング力で保持させる、外側に膨出した膨出部が形成されていることを特徴とする。前記膨出部は、係止片の全長に亘って形成したり、係止片の長さ方向に間隔をおいて形成したりすることができる。また、前記膨出部が、スリット溝内に設けられたプランジャーにより内側からくわえ尻側(天側)の係止片へ押圧される形状としてもよい。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明では、刷版のくわえ側(地側)の係止片に外側に膨出する膨出部を形成して、版胴のスリット溝内でくわえ尻側(天側)の係止片を膨出部のスプリング力で保持させ、版浮きを防止することができる。なお、膨出部の形状や配置は、膨出部がくわえ尻側(天側)の係止片をスプリング力で保持するようにすればよく、特に限定されるものではない。
