従来の空気調和機には、例えば図6(A)および図6(B)で示すように、本体を構成するベース1の前部には、吸込口2と吹出口3とを上下部に備えた前面パネル4が装着され、前記吸込口2と前記吹出口3とを結ぶ空気通路を形成する前記ベース1には、送風ファン6が設けられると共に熱交換器5および露受けaが取り付けられ、前記吸込口2の裏面にはプレフィルタ7が設けられ、同プレフィルタ7と前記熱交換器5との間には電気式空気清浄機8が着脱可能に設けられてなる構成であった。
