【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の一実施形態を図面に基づいて説明する。図面において符号1は、本発明に係わるフェンダー2を備えたトラクタであり、前輪1aと後輪1bを有する走行機体3に、前側からエンジン4を搭載してボンネット5で覆い、その後方にハンドル6aとステップ6bと座席6c等からなる操縦部6を配置し、走行機体3の構成部材で座席6cを載置するトランスミッションケース3a後部に、図示しない3点リンク方式の昇降機構を設け、耕耘装置等の作業機を装着するようにしている。

また図1のトラクタ1は操縦部6をキャビン7で覆ったものを示し、図2〜図5で示すトラクタ1は、上記キャビン7を取り外した状態の走行機体3に、逆U字状のガード枠8を左右のフェンダー2の後部に立設することにより、操縦部6のオペレータ保護を図るようにしている。

このフェンダー2の構造及び製作手段等について、図6〜図8を参照し説明する。先ず図6で示すように、フェンダー2は前記側面板2aと上面板2bとからなる2つの板状部材を、それぞれ後輪1bの前後の中心線Pから左右対称形状になるようにプレス成形し、側面板2aの上部と上面板2bの下部を重ねた状態で、その重合部をスポット溶接Sすることにより、図3で示されるように背面視で逆L字状断面となるように一体的に接合し、後輪1bの側面及び上面を所定の間隙を有して覆うようにしている。

尚、上記上面板2bは、内側に大きく滑らかに面取り状に形成したコーナー部13を介し、側面板2aに連なる立壁状の側面板14を一体的に屈曲形成しており、フェンダー2の前後の中心線Pから前後端の対称位置に所定の長さと巾で外周面から高さHだけ内側に陥没せしめ、上面板2bの前後端で局部的に凹陥する凹陥部15を形成している。
これにより、前部の凹陥部15は図4で示すように、ステップ6bの側縁より内側に臨むように設置され、左右のフェンダー2の前側でステップ6bの面積を後方に向け拡張する。また後部の凹陥部15は、この部に後部支柱12或いはガード枠8の取付孔11a等を追加加工することにより、前記取付面11を後部の凹陥部15の位置に簡単に形成することができると共に、フェンダー成形用の単一な金型を簡単にすることができる等の利点がある。

そして、上面板2bの自由端となる円弧状の外周縁は、後輪1b側に向けて高さLだけ陥没させて屈曲せしめ、側面板2aの外側に高さLの周壁面17と所定巾の凹陥外周面19を円弧状の階段部に形成している。また階段部は後述するキャビン7のドア70を接当する利用空間にしている。

また上記のように構成される左右のフェンダー2は、共通する単一なプレス成形型或いはプラスチック成形型等の成形型(金型)によって、構成部材をそれぞれ成形することができ、またこの後左右の取付部9等に対応した取付孔等を個別の追加加工によって完成されるので、型費の低減を図ることができる。

以上のように構成された本発明によるフェンダー構造は、座席6cの両側に配置される左右の後輪1bを側面板2aと上面板2bとによって覆うとき、フェンダー2はステップ6bに臨む上面板2bの前部を後輪1b側に向けて陥没させた凹陥部15によって、ステップ面を後方に向けて拡張するから、居住性を向上させクラッチペダル等の操作を行い易くすることができる。
