【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、天井裏、壁裏、床下又は配管内等の狭い空間内の対象物に必要な作業操作等を加えるに際して、それらの内部の対象物を視認するために使用する携帯用照明装置に関するものであり、特に該空間を仕切る仕切り壁等に形成された狭い開口部から該空間内部を広範囲に照射可能である携帯用照明装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
天井裏や壁の内側又は床下等に、作業工程上又は作業の都合上前もって仮設置されている電気の屋内配線や電話線又はガスフレキ配管等の外部機器への接続、或いはそれらの保守又は改修乃至増設等に際しては、当然それらの作業に先立って工事対象箇所の施設状況を把握する必要がある。このような場合に、それらの内部に入ったり壁の該当部位を取り壊したりして作業できる場合は問題ないが、多くの場合は、それは許されず、取り付けるべき外部機器それ自体の内部又は壁面等に開いていることのある開口部等を利用して外部からその施設状況を把握し、それによって作業せざるを得ないのが普通である。しかも上記開口部は、多くの場合は、作業用に開口されたものではなく、例えば、スイッチパネル取付け用等の小さなそれ(数センチ角程度)であるようなことは普通である。

そのような開口部の内側は仕切り壁等で囲まれて暗く、工事対象箇所の施設状況を把握するためには、内部を照射する必要がある。そこで、狭い開口であっても照射可能なように、従来、ペンライト等と呼ばれる携帯型の照明器具が用いられている。ペンライトは小型の懐中電灯とも云うべきもので、光源を含む照明部と、その光源に必要な電源となる電池を含む電源部とが、通常円筒状の筐体に一体に構成されている。ペンライトは、通常の筆記用のペンと大差ない位に細く、従来型構造の照明器具として限界に近いまでに小型化されていると考えられる。作業者は使用に際し、前記開口部に先端の照明部を差込んでその内部を照明しようとしている。

しかし、このような小型の照明器具であってもその存在を意識せざるを得ない程小さい(数センチ角又は径程度)開口部を通じての作業が多く、しばしば以下のような困難を伴い、その内部の施設状況の把握や作業の効率低下を招く原因となっている。

これを、図8を用いて説明する。開口部11を通じて壁の内部を照明しようとしている照明器具はペンライト12であり、一般的には充分小形な照明器具であると云えるが、開口部11もかなり小さいため、相対的には小形であるとも云えず、内部の照明のために該開口部11にこれを近づけるとそこから内部を覗き込む際に障害となり、逆に、これを避けるため該ペンライト12を該開口部11から遠ざけると、今度は照明が不完全となり、内部は暗くなって目的物の把握が困難になってしまうこととなる。

また、以上のペンライト12のような従来型の照明器具の場合、限られた光量を目的の個所にスポット的に集中させるため集光レンズや凹面鏡の反射板が備えられているが、これらによる強い指向性のため、極めて狭い範囲S1しか照射されず、特に狭い開口部11を通して見る場合、更に作業者は照明器具が照射するのと同じ方向からしか目視できない。このため、特に開口部11から離れ、かつ仕切り壁13の背後に隠れた部分を目視しようとすると、照明器具が覗き込むうえで障害となる。更に照射されて明るいS1の周辺部分には集光レンズの収差による明暗の多重環が生じるため、目視するのに有効な明るい範囲は一層狭まる。この結果、例えば、図8に示す作業対象の電線14の末端は、照射範囲S1の多重環の内側S2に入らなければ視認し難い。このため、作業者は、照明器具で照射する方向と覗き込む方向とを共にゆっくりと変えながら、時間をかけて内部の施設状況を把握せざるを得なくなる。

狭い開口部を通じて壁内の配線やガス配管等を一旦引出し、外部で配線相互や外部機器との接続処理等をしてから再度開口部を通じて壁内に戻したり、接続準備のための端末処理等をすることも多い。こうしたケーブルの引出し作業をする場合等、両手を使う必要性も高く、その場合は、照明器具はこれを口にくわえて開口部内を照射しつつ覗き込むような作業を余儀なくされることも多く、開口部内の視認や作業の効率を一層低下させることになっている。以上のように、ペンライトのような従来型照明器具をそのまま小型化しただけのものでは、狭い開口部内を照射して施設状況を把握し作業するために充分有効であるとは云えない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、以上の従来の携帯用照明装置の問題点を解消すること、即ち、仕切り壁等に設けられた開口部の内部を照射する際に、開口部に対して占有するスペースを最小限に留めて内部の目視のため及び作業のための開口スペースを十分確保できるようにすること、更にその保持のために作業者が自分の手や口を使う必要がなく、作業のために両手を確保しておくことが可能なこと、加えて光源には過度な指向性や集光レンズの収差等で生じる照射範囲周辺の明暗の多重環がなく、極力広範に照射可能であることの各条件を確保できる携帯用照明装置を提供することを解決の課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の1は、照明部と、該照明部に駆動電流を供給する電源部とを備えた携帯用照明装置に於いて、
前記照明部を、前記電源部の筐体から延長したアーム部材と、該アーム部材の先端に設けた逆U字形係止部材であって、閉じた空間を仕切る仕切り壁の開口部縁に係止するための逆U字形係止部材と、該逆U字形係止部材の先端側垂下部の外面に配した光源とで構成した携帯用照明装置である。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明は、照明部と、該照明部に駆動電流を供給する電源部とからなり、該照明部を、該電源部の筐体から延長したアーム部材と、該アーム部材の先端に設けた逆U字形係止部材であって、閉じた空間を仕切る仕切り壁の開口部縁に係止するための逆U字形係止部材と、該逆U字形係止部材の先端側垂下部の外面に配した光源とで構成した携帯用照明装置である。

前記照明部は、以上のように、電源部の筐体から延長したアーム部材と、その先端に設けた逆U字形係止部材と、その先端垂下部の外面に配した光源とで構成したものであり、上記仕切り壁の開口部縁に該逆U字形係止部材を係止することにより、該開口部に大きな占有部分を取らずに、その先端側垂下部の外面に配した光源を該仕切り壁の内側に位置させて照明できるようにしたものである。該開口部に大きな占有部分を取らないようにするとの趣旨から、上記アーム部材及びその先端の逆U字形係止部材は必要な強度等を保持することを前提に、可能な限り細く又は薄く形成するのが好ましい。他方、前記筐体は、電源を保持し得るもので、あまり大きくない方がよいが、特にその形状等を限定する理由はない。

また前記逆U字形係止部材は、前記のように、前記仕切り壁の開口部縁に係止するための部材であるから、当然、立ち上がり部分と先端側垂下部との間隔を対象の開口部縁に係止可能な広さを持つものに構成する。具体的には、対象となる建築物の壁面開口部等に係止可能な間隔とする。

前記アーム部材は、前記のように、電源部の筐体から延長したものであるが、これはこの携帯用照明装置をできるだけコンパクトにして携帯し易くする趣旨から、該筐体から引き出し自在に引き出しうるものとし又は折り畳み自在に展開できるように構成するのが好ましい。

従って本発明の携帯用照明装置によれば、建物の壁の内部の一定位置まで設置してあるガスの配管や電線の末端等を見出し、これに外部の機器類を接続する等の作業を行う場合に有効に使用することができる。

このような壁の内部の目的物を見出すために、これに近接する位置のコンセント用の開口部等を利用し、その開口部縁に本発明の携帯用照明装置を係止して内部を照明することができる。開口部縁への係止は、アーム部材の先端の逆U字形係止部材を係止することで行うことができる。この携帯用照明装置の光源は、前記逆U字形係止部材の先端側垂下部の外面に配してあるため、以上のような係止状態で、該光源は開口部縁の周縁部から壁内方を向いた状態になっており、この状態で電源を投入すると、閉じられて暗くなっている内部が照明され、目的物を探し易くなる。

前記したように、前記アーム部材及び逆U字形係止部材は、電池等が収納されている電源部の筐体よりは充分に細く又は薄いものであり、前記開口部に占める割合はごく僅かであって、該開口部から作業者が壁内部を覗き込むのに殆ど邪魔にならない。従って該開口部から内部のガス配管の末端や電源ラインの末端等の目的物を容易に探すことができる。また、前記のように、該光源はレンズを用いておらず、光が絞られないようになっているので、広い範囲を一様に照明することができる。そのため目的物の位置が不明なこのような場合に極めて好都合である。

こうして、本発明の携帯用照明装置によれば、これを手で掴んで保持するような必要なく、建物の壁の内部の照明を良好に行うことができるため、以上のように、ガスの配管や電線の末端等を容易かつ確実に見出し、かつこれに外部の機器類を接続するような作業を容易に行うことができることとなる。

なお、前記アーム部材に被覆部材を構成した場合は、前記したように、筐体の裏面が汚れないようにこれによって被覆されるため、前記のように、アーム部材を展開してその上部の逆U字形係止部材によって前記開口部に係止したような場合に、該筐体の裏面側が該開口部直下の壁面に当接しても、該壁面を汚してしまうような問題が生じることはない。

また建築途上の暗い室内の隅その他の照明のない場所で作業を行う場合には、本発明の携帯照明装置を作業者の胸のポケット等に係止してその前方の手元付近を広くかつ良好に照明することができるため、照明自体が良好に行われることに加えて、作業に両手を用いることができるので、作業もまた極めて良好に行われることになる。

以下、本発明の携帯用照明装置の実施例について、図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。

この実施例の携帯用照明装置は、図1〜図4に示すように、基本的に、電源部収納用の筐体1と、該筐体1から延長したアーム(アーム部材)2、該アームの先端に構成した逆U字形の係止部(逆U字形係止部材)3及び該係止部3の先端側垂下部3aの外面に配した光源4からなる照明部5とで構成する。

前記筐体1は、前記のように電源部収納用のケースであり、この実施例では、図1〜図4に示すように、ほぼ直方体状のケースに構成してある。電源として、乾電池又は対応するサイズの二次電池が使用可能であり、該筐体1の内部の収納部にこれらを収納する。該筐体1の上部両側に開閉自在な蓋体1a、1aが配してあり、これらを開けて前記収納部に対応するサイズの乾電池(この実施例では単3の乾電池)等が収納できるようになっている。なお筐体1の側部下端には、図1〜図4に示すように、電極1b、1bが配してあり、前記収納部に二次電池を収納した場合は、これらを利用して充電できる。なおまた電源スイッチ1cは、図1及び図4に示すように、筐体1の下部中央に配してあり、これを押し下げる毎にオンオフを繰り返すように構成してある。当然、オンのときに、前記光源4が発光する。

図3に示すように、前記筐体1の背面には複数の縦溝を備えた壁当たり1dを配し、かつその中央部縦方向に沿ってアーム収納溝(アーム部材収納用縦溝)1eを形成しておくものとする。また該アーム収納溝1eの下部側には、図1〜図4及び図6に示すように、筐体1の前面側に突き抜ける係止部収納溝(逆U字形係止部材収納用縦溝)1fを形成しておくものとする。

前記アーム2は、前記したように、照明部5の一部を構成するものであり、その先端に逆U字形の係止部3を備え、かつ該係止部3の先端垂下部3aに光源4を備えたものである。該係止部3は、後述するように、閉じた空間の開口部縁に係止するための手段であり、このように係止した場合に、これを備えたアーム2を介して前記筐体1を吊り下げ支持するものであるから、相応の剛性と強度とを供えたものである必要がある。該アーム2も同様である。また該アーム2及び係止部3は、云うまでもなく、その中に該筐体1の電源から後者の先端垂下部3aの光源4まで電流供給用の導体を配する必要があり、この実施例では、該アーム2及び係止部3中の図示しない貫通孔を通じてこれを貫通させてある。

前記アーム2は、特に図2、図3及び図6に示すように、その基部を筐体1の下部中央にヒンジ2aを介して回動自在に取り付ける。該アーム2の取付位置は、これを該筐体1の背面側に倒すと、図1、図2及び図6に示すように、前記アーム収納溝1e中に収納状態となり、かつ該アーム2の先端側に構成した逆U字形の係止部3が前記係止部収納溝1fに収納状態になるように設定する。

前記光源4は、この実施例では、豆電球で構成したものである。図5(a)及び(b)に示すように、前記係止部3の先端垂下部3aの前面に僅かに凹面状となってはいるがほぼ平面状の反射板4aを構成し、その前面中央に前記光源4を配置する。前記したように、前記アーム2をアーム収納溝1eに収納し、前記係止部3を係止部収納溝1fに収納すると、該係止部3の先端垂下部3aに構成した光源4は、図1に示すように、前記筐体1の前面側に露出することとなる。該筐体1の前面に於いて、このようにして露出する光源4の周囲に、図1、図4及び図5(a)、(b)に示すように、指向性を高めた曲率の補助反射板(反射部材)4bを配する。

従ってこの実施例の携帯用照明装置によれば、例えば、建物の壁の内部の仕切られた空間内の一定位置まで設置してあるガス又は水道のチューブ配管の末端、或いは電線又は電話線の末端等を見出し、これに外部の機器類を接続する等の作業を行う場合に有効に活用することができる。

仕切り壁13の内部の目的物、例えば、電線14の末端を見出すために、これに近接する位置のコンセント用等の開口部11を利用し、その開口部11縁にこの実施例の携帯用照明装置を係止して内部を照明することができる。開口部11縁への係止は、図1及び図2に示すように、アーム収納溝1e及び係止部収納溝1f中にそれぞれ収納されているアーム2及び係止部3を、図4に示すように、該アーム2の基部のヒンジ2aで180度回動させて前記筐体1の下部から直線状に延長した状態にし、かつ該筐体1を上下反転させた上で、図7に示すように、上部の逆U字形の係止部3の先端垂下部3aを該開口部11の内側に挿入し、その中間部を該開口部11の縁に係止することにより行うことができる。

この状態で、電源スイッチ1cを押し下げ操作すると、電源が投入され、前記係止部3の先端垂下部3aの前面に配してある光源4が発光し、壁に閉じられて暗くなっている内部が照明され、目的物である電線14の末端が探しやすくなるものである。前記光源4は、先に述べたように、集光レンズを有さず、かつその背後に僅かに凹面状となった反射板4aを備えているに過ぎない物であるため、図7に示すように、その前方に向かって大きな角度で光が拡散することとなり、前記壁内のような比較的狭い範囲では、該光源4の前方を広い範囲でかつ充分に照明することができる。そのため、前記のように、この近辺に位置している前記電線14の末端が容易にその照明範囲に入ることとなる。

また前記光源4は、前記開口部11の縁に係止した前記係止部3の先端垂下部3aに配してあるものであり、かつ係止部3及びこれに連続するアーム2は、前記のように、該開口部11の僅かの部分を占めるに過ぎない物であるため、作業者が該開口部11から内部を覗き込む際に、殆ど邪魔になることがない。そのため、作業者は、該開口部11から壁の内部を良好に覗き込み得、前記のように照明されている電線14の末端を容易に見出すことができる。また該光源4を、以上の位置に保持するのに作業者の手を必要としないため、例えば、該電線14の末端を引き出して対応する器具に接続する等の作業を行う場合に、両手を自由に用いることができ、その作業が容易に行い得るものとなる。
